“Treat yourself to a sit down dinner at Lakay. I can't say enough good things about my families' dining experience. With only a few tables in the restaurant, the service and personal attention were like you were invited into the chef's home for private dining. The table was set beautifully like at a 5-star restaurant and serene spiritual music and videos played to add to the welcoming atmosphere. Now--the food! It was our first time eating Haitian cuisine and everything was made with such high quality and care. From the Soursop drinks (a must!), to the best potato salad I have ever eaten in my life, to the black bean soup, to the snapper, chicken and pork--everything far exceeded our expectations. It was truly a blessing to have stumbling on this gem!“

“Bought doubles and a curry chicken wrap roti and this was ones of the best tasting wrap rotis I've had in awhile. The curry itself and the inside condiments were flavorful and very tasty. The doubles as well was very good. Only tried these 2 items but I'm sure the rest of the menu items are just as delicious. Would definitely recommend and would be going back.“

“I would say please make sure you are handling your chicken correctly. After eating your delicious chicken (at least one time) I felt like I experienced a bout of food poisoning. Unfortunately, I can't eat here anymore, I don't know if the food is being handled properly.“

“Taste of the Caribbean catered my mom's birthday. Denise was courteous, accommodating, and kind and developed a really excellent menu for the event. She hand-delivered the food and made sure that it was held at temperature just like we requested. She accommodated the spice profiles as well given that my mom is a little bit older and can't handle the spicy food in the same way as she used to. Everything was perfect and I highly recommend them and their catering services to anybody. Amazing customer service and even better tasting food. The beef patties and the oxtail were 10 out of 10.“

“Atmosphere is chill. You got background music, 5 arcade machines, and a comfortable couch to sit on while you (rarely) wait for food. The patties themselves are exceptionally varied in type, and each have their own original flavor profile. It's worth eating each one, and its DEFINITELY worth buying, at least to me. 10/10“

“Was walking by and saw A&J Caribbean Taste. I just had to go in and see what they had. It was like home! They had a wide range of food and I was so excited I asked for a sample of it all lol. DELICIOUS. Further, it was super generous of the server to accommodate my request. My favorite was the oxtail though all dishes were delicious. If you're missing GOOOOD Caribbean food and want a variety - and not have to wait for food preparation - this is a must visit. Compliments to the chef. “It's a small location on Oak Street and the food can be smelled from miles away. Once you enter, you'll see why there's a line and once you taste the food, you'll want to go back. The oxtail, the curried goat, the jerk chicken and the fried chicken are simply done right. They're delectable and flavorful. One of the main things I appreciate is, they're warm and inviting. You don't get a bad attitude from them. One last thing, I've never in my life heard of oxtail soup and it was phenomenal 😋“

“Came in around 8pm after worked, tired from work, didn’t want to travel for my normal place I go for my west Indian food , I find this little gem and ordered to my dietary standards, got curry goat and all veggies and food was fresh tasting and very well seasoned and tender, was a bit surprised as I don’t like trying new places , definitely will be back to try different menu options, service is great and a welcoming atmosphere.. So they prepared a meal with a bit of all!

“Not the older women but that lady at the counter needs to be fired. Her attitude , her appearance is sooo gross that as much as I like the food it makes me spend less money in this establishment. Asking for any more sauces, chicken , utensil can send her off the deep end and because she’s is dealing with your food you are forced to play nice. The first time I figured she was having a bad day or her husband left her for that bad attitude which I can understand but it’s every SINGLE time.
