“Furama is the best Chinese takeout restaurant I have ever eaten at. My family and I have only ordered from them since we moved to the area 17 years ago. My favorite things on the menu include: chicken and broccoli combo, fried wontons, chow fun, egg drop wonton soup, pork fried rice, and crab rangoons. When we want good chicken wings and french fries, we still order from them because they're just so delicious. To end my review, I'll say this: If I had one meal left in my life, it would come from Furama.“

“I stopped in here yesterday for lunch and it was without a doubt top 5 foods I’ve ever eaten, both inside and outside the U.S. The malatang hot pot broth was so savory and umami I couldn’t believe how good it was. Medium spice level was just a tad too much for me and I handle spice pretty well (should have listened to the girl at the front counter…). Cant wait to go back and try the other hot and dry pots.“

“The pickled cabbage was a 10/10—super simple but packed with flavor.

The Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings were decent, but the crab flavor was pretty subtle. The broth was good, though I’ve had better versions in Flushing. The filling could also use a bit more fat and seasoning for richness.

The Peking Duck Spring Rolls were fine but nothing special. The duck inside leaned a little dry.

The Fish with Szechuan Sauce was excellent—very flavorful. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal.

The Crab with Tofu was disappointing. I was expecting something closer to a crab roe / mitten crab style tofu dish, but the crab flavor didn’t really come through.

Overall the food felt a bit hit or miss, but the standout dishes are excellent.

That said, the service, atmosphere, and ambiance were all great and made the meal really enjoyable.

“This has always been my go-to Chinese restaurant, best chicken wings ever! My only problem is the barber shop next door, I believe the Chinese restaurant needs their own

parking: NEW UPDATE: The city should help with the parking and help fix the restaurant, it would be nice, because those Chinese employees work really hard to help the customers, so it would be a nice gesture, I am also glad that they have two days off now, they deserve it...“

“A solid hotpot spot in Fort Lee and one of the better options in New Jersey.

The mala broth was quite spicy (which I liked), and all the vegetables, meats, and other ingredients were fresh and well-prepared.
The menu had a good variety, and the quality was consistent throughout the meal. Service was attentive, and the overall atmosphere was clean and comfortable.
Need to bring own alcohol.“

“We had the Mala Xian Guo (spicy hotpot) and it was great overall. I wouldn’t recommend to put the bean curd roll and fried dough to it because it melted when it was cooked. An uncle was working all by himself when we went there but it was impressive he had everything covered. I’d come here again to eat Mala.“

“Super impressed by how authentic the food here is. We just moved to NJ from California and have been looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant that’s not just about chow mein or general tso. Forgot to take pictures of all dishes. The spicy dishes have very complex tastes than just spicy, and the non spicy dishes are also super fresh and flavorful. The restaurant does get busy because it’s very popular amongst Chinese people, but the staff is always attentive and makes sure that all of our needs are met. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely come back.“

“I have not found many Chinese restaurants beyond Chinatown that's considered close to being called good until I tried this one. I only ever ordered delivery because my brother is living at a Senior Rehabilitation center on W190 st. I was surprised to find the Chicken and Broccoli not drenched in oil or overcooked! It's not salty or full of MSG like other typical Take outs. Everything I ordered showed a true experienced cook. No lumpy gelatinous "gravy" although I always make it a point to ask for little gravy and they actually followed my request! I don't ever judge a Chinese restaurant by its decor. Some of the BEST ethnic foods I've had, we less than inviting. I get why they do not bother w the "atmosphere" but focused on good food. I get that it would be nice to be able to enjoy going there if you are a long time patron but I used to love a place called Peking Duck in Chinatown until they moved to a new space and changed to an upscale look and soon the food was not at all the same. Perhaps the chef left but I still missed the dishes they used to make to perfection. So don't fix what's not broken. If this is the only Chinese restaurant near you count your lucky stars bc they do authentic Chinese cooking.“

You don’t hear of people going to a restaurant for decades! Well this is the spot! The sweet and sour chicken is what I ate since I was little, it’s the best I’ve ever had and I’m a foodie!“

I stopped eating just to write how much I love this spot. I order almost once a week. The food never disappoints and I believe they truly deserve 5 stars. They have wonderful customer service, always pleasant when I call, speedy delivery, and quality food (and packaging) There is no other chinese food in bergen country i’ve found that I can say has all of these qualities about them. Tonight I ordered sweet and sour chicken with chicken lo mein. The lo mein is so good I would give it a 9/10. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. 10/10. Price is still amazing for lunch deals around $8~$12, portions are generous, and ultimately foods are great.

The portion sizes are large and more than enough to have left over the next day. As far as the owners Karma they are very nice people as well as friendly.
