“Furama is the best Chinese takeout restaurant I have ever eaten at. My family and I have only ordered from them since we moved to the area 17 years ago. My favorite things on the menu include: chicken and broccoli combo, fried wontons, chow fun, egg drop wonton soup, pork fried rice, and crab rangoons. When we want good chicken wings and french fries, we still order from them because they're just so delicious. To end my review, I'll say this: If I had one meal left in my life, it would come from Furama.“

“I stopped in here yesterday for lunch and it was without a doubt top 5 foods I’ve ever eaten, both inside and outside the U.S. The malatang hot pot broth was so savory and umami I couldn’t believe how good it was. Medium spice level was just a tad too much for me and I handle spice pretty well (should have listened to the girl at the front counter…). Cant wait to go back and try the other hot and dry pots.“

“This has always been my go-to Chinese restaurant, best chicken wings ever! My only problem is the barber shop next door, I believe the Chinese restaurant needs their own

parking: NEW UPDATE: The city should help with the parking and help fix the restaurant, it would be nice, because those Chinese employees work really hard to help the customers, so it would be a nice gesture, I am also glad that they have two days off now, they deserve it...“

“Parking comps for upstairs for 3hrs. The sauce bar is good, the snacks are interesting and the pots can be 1,2, or 3 styles of soup base. Good pricing and only issue is seating is for 4 or 6; one table of 8 available. So big parties may need to split up a bit. Definitely a fan of the snacks, good service, and they gave a little toy to the kids, too!

Broth has gotten better in 2026, but service a bit less and they are less busy. They had to add an all-you-can-eat option on M-Thu (Fri before 5p) and while that is good, overall they are struggling a bit to keep the same foot traffic as before. A bit of a bummer as they do have a good selection and are convenient.“

“Malamini is my go-to comfort food spot near home. Whenever I don’t know what to eat, I end up getting their malatang. The sesame sauce is especially good and really makes the bowl. Their ice cream is also surprisingly great. Simple, satisfying, and always hits the spot.“

“Have taken out quite a few orders from this small local place, and I have to say; it’s better than any place else in the area. Insanely enough, we’ve even tried the Italian (yes, I said Italian) food on the menu and that was pretty good as well! It’s a crazy combo, but it works. Their hot and sour soup, is def one of the better ones I’ve had. All the their dishes are loaded with ingredients. The portions are not skimpy, prices are very reasonable for what you get. “I have not dined in yet, because I like to eat at home, so I can say these dumplings and buns travel very well. I love the pork and scallion dumplings, and the noodle dishes are so refreshing. I can't help but order tanghulu every time as well for a sweet refreshing crunchy dessert, and every drink I've had has been so good! Love the fruity teas, herbals teas, and creamy drinks. Every drink I've had tasted very good and I wish I ordered 2 at a time. I hope they stay forever and their business is good, I'm very happy with this neighborhood dumpling spot“

“My favorite restaurant when I lived in NJ. Always great food. Lovely staff. We even went there for dinner the day after Hurricane Sandy. They had generators and still gave us a great meal…by candlelight because the power was out.“

“We are seriously SO impressed with Essex Chinese Kitchen. The food is amazing — everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.

We ordered the bubble teas (brown sugar milk tea and original milk tea), and they were SO good — perfectly balanced with that floral black tea flavor coming through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and refreshing.

I got the golden fried brown shrimp with fried rice and it was FIRE. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and broccoli, and they absolutely do NOT skimp on portions. The serving sizes were generous and so satisfying.

The staff were also super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

I stopped eating just to write how much I love this spot. I order almost once a week. The food never disappoints and I believe they truly deserve 5 stars. They have wonderful customer service, always pleasant when I call, speedy delivery, and quality food (and packaging) There is no other chinese food in bergen country i’ve found that I can say has all of these qualities about them. Tonight I ordered sweet and sour chicken with chicken lo mein. The lo mein is so good I would give it a 9/10. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. 10/10. Highly recommend if you want quick delivery and great chinese food.“

They were very pleasant and friendly on the phone when I called to place the order. The owner immediately recognized my husband once we arrived and was very welcoming. Price is still amazing for lunch deals around $8~$12, portions are generous, and ultimately foods are great.
It’s been more than 10 years but I’ll still come to Tenafly just for Good Taste general chicken tsp combo.

“Garden China in Elmwood Park is actually insane—in the best way possible. The food is so good it feels illegal, like every dish was made by chefs competing for a trophy.
