“I recently hosted a 50th birthday dinner at Tavern @ Iron Horse and could not have been more satisfied with the experience. The general manager, Jackie Russ, was an absolute standout. She went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect, from coordinating the menu to making sure every detail was exactly as we had envisioned. Her professionalism and welcoming demeanor set the tone for the entire night.The food was absolutely delicious. I chose chicken milenase, pork chop and hanger steak for the dinner selections. I have been receiving rave reviews from our guests. The service was impeccable, with our server being both attentive and friendly without ever being intrusive.Thanks to the incredible team, and especially Jackie Russ, our 50th birthday celebration was a seamless and memorable event. We highly recommend Tavern @ Iron Horse for any special occasion.“

Their staff’s exceptional devotion to their tradecraft sets them apart than any other lounge, bar, or tavern in the area. Most notable are Jackie and Marvin, who are engaging, cordial and above all…skilled at mixology. Before meeting this duo I’d never fully understood the patron-barkeep relationship for all its benefits. We often spend the evenings sipping their delectable concoctions as we speak about our passions for artistic outlets such as photography, comedy, film, and motor sports. Now that I’ve been arriving early for their delicious cuisine, they really are the complete package. Newcomer,Bella, also shows great promise.Their devotion to mentoring recent hires coupled with her obvious proficiency for the service industry is quite apparent. Bravo, Andrew Matarese! “The Oak House is our go-to spot for dinners with family and friends, happy hours, and all kinds of celebrations. The food and drinks are consistently excellent, the service is always amazing, and every guest we bring looks forward to coming back.“

“I am a frequent visitor here. Sometimes I go for a solo lunch, sometimes I bring my child or go with friends. It is family friendly. Best vibes in the Summer when you can sit outside and enjoy good weather. Extensive and descriptive wine menu which I love. They can prepare off menu traditional Italian dishes for you if they have the ingredients. I felt for a simple spaghetti pomodoro and my request was granted. I like their salads. The grilled shrimp has a beautiful smoked flavor as if it is fresh off the brick grill - my favorite! On one visit, the manager allowed me to sample several wines - I felt really catered to. Lunch dining is my favorite period to visit here.“

She gave so many great suggestions of other places to try during our stay which was SO appreciated and helpful. Also, the food by Chef Ian was absolutely wonderful! I had the pan seared chicken which was to die for and the meatball appetizer tasted wonderful. “Every time we go to Lavagna, the owner and his staff are always gracious and accommodating. This past weekend, my family and I were looking for a place to go after my Mom's wake. It was after 8:00 pm and we thought we would try Lavagna, knowing that they may not be able to accommodate the 12 of us as is was late and Friday's are usually very busy. We asked and they went out of their way to seat us as close as possible and served us with a smile even with two picky kids in tow. The food was delicious, as always. We decided to try it again yesterday and we were pleasantly surprises. There were 4 of us and we all loved what we ordered. The salmon and crab cake were delicious and so were the salads. The steak tenderloin was tender and tasty as well! The service was excellent. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer. The ine disappointment was the cappuccinos we ordered. They werent hot and even though waitress redid them they still came out lukewarm at best. Looking forward to returning.“

“My wife and I were there for a political function combo meeting and Christmas luncheon. This establishment is super clean, bright, and cozy. The food and wine were delicious. I had chicken parm. Was fantastic. Was batted down thin and breaded and seasoned to perfection. VERY tender, I only had to use my folk to cut. The marinara was fresh semi chunky lite delicious and perfect. The fresh bread came in handy to clean up my plate. My wife has a fresh pasta marinara dish and NO complaints there. “We dined in. Three people. Ordered two main items, soda, and a cocktail. $100+tip. Food took one hour to arrive.Food was OK. There was only one server, very friendly but it was very hard to get their attention before or after food arrived.
I love neighborhood places and would support them fully but I am not sure how pricey they should be and how much service should I expect, with or without this pricetag.“
