We also had a great chat with Erin while we had our cocktails that gave a lot of insight about the birth and growing stages of their business and the challenging regulations for those who go into the NJ distilling business.“

I could easily see it being busier (there was a line when we left) but luckily when we went around 9PM on a Saturday we were able to grab one of the side tables, which were really cute! The menu is extensive so there's bound to be something for everyone. Prices were average, certainly not cheap but not out of line with what you'd expect for a place like this. Staff was really friendly and accommodating.

We got the corn 'n oil (lovely), corpse reviver #2 (pretty good), nitro espresso martini (I will never convert to an espresso martini liker so this was what it was), and honey bee. My biggest wish for the honey bee (and really all of their drinks) is that they weren't served in martini glasses (corn 'n oil thankfully was not), as it's just so much work to drink and I think detracts from the drink overall.“

They were so accommodating and managed everything so well. Everyone loved the food (seasonal, great portions, delicious), the cocktails were amazing, and the space is so cute. “Fantastic place! Great beer selections and cocktails. The food was fantastic. We had the Coconut Shrimp, Fried Green Tomatoes to start. Then we had the Brisket Sandwich and my husband had the Buffalo Wings. The Brisket Sandwich was amazing...so incredibly tender, lots of flavor, completely falls apart with each bite. My husband was so happy with his wings. He was so happy that they were actually crispy and full of flavor. The staff is amazing. So incredibly friendly and provide amazing service. “I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. They assured me that I was welcomed back anytime. I really appreciated that. Thank you.“

“I’ve lived in Philly for the past 10 years, calling myself a local foodie. I’m not one to post on social media, but instead, tell my friends/colleagues the best place to try. For the last year, that “place” is Hilo taco.

Funny story…my boyfriend talked about their opening for months. Being me, I thought we would try their food and he’d stop talking incessantly about them. Little did I know, Hilo would be our “spot”. We’ve been coming here multiple times a week for the past year. Let me tell you why..

The food. Phenomenal and consistent. I’ve tried every taco on the menu. Obviously, I have my preferences (aka Hilo hot cauliflower and BBQ taco), but each taco is unique and flavorful. Their weekly taco special excites me each week: I look forward to the announcement and seeing the new creation each week.

The people. From the first time we went to Hilo, I felt like I was family. I can’t speak enough about how much we love the people who work here. It’s more than a job for them: they make their customers feel welcome, comfortable and at home. Coming from working in a hospital and having many long days, this places brings me joy everytime I walk in.

If you’re in Philly, please check these guys out! You will not be disappointed and will send all your friends here! They have the best tacos, staff and margaritas around town!“

“Manatawny is always wonderful. The staff behind the bar are fantastic and answer any questions you might have about the menu or the products they make. The cocktails are always great and I like the fact that they do seasonal menus so there's new things to try often.“

“Went back to back nights. Sat down right away with a two top the first night and then waited fifteen minutes for a four top the next day. It’s an A+ type of place that you can just walk into and get great food and drinks without a reservation, something that’s increasingly impossible in town. Tempura was a table favorite. I chanced on this place one day for the pizza... got brocciole pizza and spices, and potato pizza- outstanding selection and the best or as good as the best pizza I've had. Crust and flavor combination was perfect. I came back 2 nights later to try other dishes... I ordered gnocchi because this shows quality in a restaurant- I've had many bad gnocchi dishes- Alice restaurant was the most perfect gnocchi I have ever had in a restaurant. only home made is better. The texture was perfect and soft. spice perfectly blended. I asked to add sausage... made a perfect meal. The Gelato on top of the small tart was superb. they make their own gelato... quality is excellent. Anna, our server was outstanding. her people skills and customer service would make the owners proud to represent them. Only draw back was that our bar seats were a bit uncomfortable. it is a bit cramped in there. they need a bigger space. absolutely loved this place!!!!“

We started with the endive salad which was outstanding but it went downhill from there. The brioche was too crunchy and oily (but the escargots and tomatoes topping was very good); the enoki mushrooms were a little overpowered by the other flavors; the oyster mushrooms were quite charred; and the fish was overcooked. Drink-wise, also did not think much of the "void essence" cocktail - was a little bland for me. Service as always as excellent.“

“My family and I (5 of us) were visiting Philly this weekend and were looking for a nice brunch place. Continental Midtown was perfect. The food was amazing. I had the Chilaquiles. The flavor was pure yum. I ate every morsel on my plate. My wife loved her Eggs Benedict with Salmon. The eggs and sauce were perfectly cooked. The service was perfect. Our server, Sela, was so hospitable and sweet. She took our order and the food came out quickly as if it just came off the grill. Will certainly return the next time we are in Philly. Wish I took some photos of our food but we devoured it in no time.

“Let me start I did read all the bad reviews before heading over there so I didn’t have great expectations.However as a cheapskate and a craft beer lover especially searching for my lessor common styles of beer, I typically go by each bar and restaurant in airport and scan QR code to see beer selection and check pricing.Most places here in Philadelphia Airport straight rip off at 16 per pint, but when you want a beer you’re stuck. Anyway when I first approached the counter I was absolutely expecting to be poked since they didn’t show prices only beer menu.Luckily they had something for me that I was going to purchase regardless, A nice strong Golden at 8%.I was then blown away upon seeing I got a 20oz, normally higher ABV beers are served in smaller 12oz glasses. Any full pour of 20oz was only 10 bucks and I was expecting at least 20, left me room in budget to not only get 2nd beer plus a pretty solid hotdog and chips.Biggest plus was Connor the bar tender, was super cool and attentive, and then informed me I was safe to take my cup and walk back to my terminal, since I walked a fair distance just to check out all beer options.Lastly, unlike most other restaurants In airport it’s kind of obvious if your paying attention that their section is not owned and maintained by airport, as most restaurants have tables and chairs with chargers that kind of blend from restaurants into gates, so I kinda understand their right to ask people to patronize their business or ask them to leave, I was lucky to find a spot at the bar.Not excusing anyone ever treated rudely, and definitely not my experience.“

As it is, I will definitely be going back the next time I’m in Philly. The setting, on the 8th floor of an old school building, is extremely cool and aesthetic and they styled the space beautifully with lots of plants. The view is wonderful. I went with a friend and we shared a “girl dinner” of four desserts followed by pasta. I keep thinking about the gelato I had, which was flavored with sweet cream and topped with a layer of honey and a mound of pistachios. The sweet and salty combination was amazing. Another standout was the orange olive oil torte with a bay leaf-infused cream. The lemon pasta was simple with a depth of flavor and strong umami.
