I’ve been to several of Tommy’s Tavern locations. The food has always been exceptional along with the staff customer service.
I’ve been to the Cherry Hill location twice now. The first visit was met with good food and customer service! My 10-25-25 visit I decided to sit at the bar, and the customer service in this area was sub par at best. My girlfriend and I ordered some drinks off of the cocktail menu and both didn’t tasted like they were light on the alcohol side. Mine specifically was the Mango Mojito. We did discuss this with the bartender however she said that she couldn’t add any more alcohol. She stated that she could only take our drinks and make us two no one’s. We opted to get draft beers from the tap.
We ordered the cauliflower appetizer which was good however the bartender had it sent out the same time as our entrees. Also I’ve really enjoyed their turkey burgers until this visit. The turkey burger that I was given looked like it was two frozen patties with the usual trimmings however it now comes with guacamole on it apparently. I was told by the Manager that they changed the menu on this item. The old turkey burger looks like it was freshly made with spices and other very good ingredients in it that I really enjoyed. And it didn’t come with guacamole.. That version apparently has been eliminated in place of the two frozen patties that I was given. I’d didn’t eat it as a result. Guacamole on a turkey burger to me doesn’t make sense. So I was very disappointed with my experience.. I’m just gonna take this experience as a one off because I do enjoy going to Tommy’s. I’ve never had a problem before. Hopefully the next time I go, I will have a much better experience at this location. If I do decide to order another turkey burger, I will definitely check the menu to see how it is made and what comes with it. Hopefully they can go back to the old version cause I really like that version.

“My friends and I came here after a dinner last night. Our dinner ran longer than anticipated and we called to double check if we could still come since we’d miss the reservation time. They were so nice and told us to come still.

We were seated with Taylor who explained everything about the drinks in such great detail and gave recommendations based on ours likes and dislikes.

The decor and vibe were lovely, the bathroom clean, the staff very friendly. Everyone in our party agreed we would return.

“We stumbled upon Pearl's looking for someplace place to go after we saw our original destination was closed. I am so glad we did. The owner found us a table himself. The service was top notch starting with the owner Shawn and shop out to our awesome waitress Ariana. I ordered the smash burger and it was so delicious I ordered another one. Drinks were good and not overpriced. Highly recommend and we will be returning.“

“Fantastic place! Great beer selections and cocktails. The food was fantastic. We had the Coconut Shrimp, Fried Green Tomatoes to start. Then we had the Brisket Sandwich and my husband had the Buffalo Wings. The Brisket Sandwich was amazing...so incredibly tender, lots of flavor, completely falls apart with each bite. My husband was so happy with his wings. He was so happy that they were actually crispy and full of flavor. The staff is amazing. So incredibly friendly and provide amazing service. “Cool spot. Walked in without a reservation and sat within 5 minutes. Place is very intimate, we’re talking seating for maybe 15 or so people. They have a cocktail list of all kinds of interesting drinks. I thought the prices were high but somehow worth it. The hot wasabi fires are so good.“

“I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. They assured me that I was welcomed back anytime. I really appreciated that. Thank you.“

“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

The inside was very clean. The service was outstanding, I was greeted, sat and offered water Immediately for take out! I ordered half cheese with basil and the other side was Magic mushroom, it totaled $21 (pricey where) This by far was top pizza I’ve ever had in Philly and I know pizza, I lived in NYC!!! this place set the bar!! I mean perfect crust, the sauce was flavorful with the right amount and the cheese was so rich and cheesy! I went back three days later to confirm it was really that good and consistent…new chef, same great pizza!! I had to leave a review because I don’t know what these people are talking about and I need this place to stay open because IT’S THAT GOOOOD!!! This is an honest review! If you are not put off by the fact this is primarily a local spot for folks from the neighbourhood then the other patrons and staff was friendly. Beer was $2.50 a bottle and a shot of Hennessy was $5. The shots look small to the eye but are measured with their auto dosing system. A great value night cap on the way back to my hotel.“

“My husband and I were looking for something to get into on a Saturday night so we learned of Essie's by calling another entertainment restaurant in town that was closed for the night. We got to Essie's and was amazed at how upscale, clean, and close to home it was for us. The food was delicious as can be and the music was wonderful. Since we just walked in we were seated in the bar area at a table by the window. The whole vibe was on point for us. We were given a tour of the upstairs lounge which was empty that night bec no one had booked it for anything. Still it was beautiful as well as classy for giving a small to medium gathering of friends for a party or get together. The bathrooms were fashionably modern, beautiful, clean, and smelled great! We peeked into the stage area dining room to get a look since we weren't able to sit in there since all the tables were booked. It was very nice and classy. I can't wait to go back. Next time I'll be booking reservations for a dinner when they have live entertainment so we can sit in the stage area dining room and enjoy some live entertainment and another delicious meal. I'm so glad we found this spot. Now it will be our go to restaurant when we want to get out and hear some great soulful music. Way to go Essie!!! :)“

Don't worry, Boris (I'm calling him Boris) lived in the lap of luxury on an idyllic Bucks County farm perfectly suited for your rustic, instagrammable wedding that us filthy city folk can only attend in a fever dream generally reserved for a Hallmark Channel screenwriter.

Aaron is some kind of foolish wizard who has unlocked a spell that Gandolf himself could only steal from his apron enshrouded Nonna from the Italian section of the Shire. The pizza should not be this good. The restaurant should not feel like a homecoming when it's your first time there. It certainly shouldn't cost $14 bucks. But somehow, it does.

“Nice little spot, with nice energy. It can be a little tight inside, but given the shape of the building, it's to be expected. Though some people say the portions are small, I felt they were adequate and not dissimilar to say Bastia. I'm not a huge oyster person, but the recommendations were very good, especially paired with the zhug. Everyone we interacted with was lovely, but we were especially appreciative of Jordan, who gave us the majority of our recommendations.
