“Ok a time was had!
I showed up to my first ever open mic. Without any back up or support. Straight after work still in a suit and I was so nervous! But sat next to people I just met, we'll I was early sonce I came straight from work still wearing a suit, and they were pleasant hospital regulars. The drinks were great the features were great and I enjoyed it so much. I will be back for another go!“
“Izzy's is my Fri night go to after getting off the train. James, Brian, Justin and the rest of the crew provide a warm welcome and great service. The hand rolls are excellent! It's really noisy and space is tight, and every once in a while I meet someone new for an interesting conversation. And it's just fine with everyone if I roll up with my New Yorker magazine for a quick bite on the way home!“
“The venue was almost perfect! It is well appointed, the bathrooms super clean. The set up was great. The bartender was awesome! She was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Friendly and efficient. Good parking, well lighted exterior. I would recommend this place any day of the week.Thanks.“

“Quick stop in as a first time guest and was seated warmly without a reservation on a Friday evening - got lucky before the dinner rush!
Excellence in service, delicious food and atmosphere was a trendy vibe. Recommend the hot pot ( stir fries veggies and choice of protein)“

“The Ranstead Room is a moody, intimate speakeasy‑style cocktail bar with a cool hidden‑alley vibe that makes it perfect for date night or drinks with friends. The crafted cocktails are creative and well‑made, order the bartender’s choice if you’re not sure what to get, and the atmosphere feels unique and stylish. It can get crowded on weekends and you might wait a bit to get in, but the experience is worth it if you enjoy a classic speakeasy environment!“

“My wife and I came here for our date night Friday for half price pasta happy hour. We were greeted at the door by owner Wyatt who was very welcoming and passionate about his menu. He suggested the hen which came out sizzling with a crisp skin that bursted into a juicy body when I cut into it.
My wife and I split two pasta dishes which were perfect portions to share. We also got a cheese plate and some fun mocktails on our server’s recommendation. All the staff was working together and we had a great time sharing in all the goodies.
Great overall experience, will definitely be back!“

“We didn’t eat but! The cocktails were fantastic! First time trying a wine mix that makes you think you are drinking an old fashion! The mixologist noted our taste bud preference and delivery was on point. Cute small chic low light bar with classics playing. Perfect for date night or just trying new bars out?“
“F1 Arcade Philly is the kind of place that turns a regular meetup with friends into something memorable, combining upbeat energy, good food and drinks, and genuinely fun racing. If you’re in Philadelphia and want a social spot that’s more exciting than the usual bar, this is absolutely worth a visit.“

“Fantastic place! Great beer selections and cocktails. The food was fantastic. We had the Coconut Shrimp, Fried Green Tomatoes to start. Then we had the Brisket Sandwich and my husband had the Buffalo Wings. The Brisket Sandwich was amazing...so incredibly tender, lots of flavor, completely falls apart with each bite. My husband was so happy with his wings. He was so happy that they were actually crispy and full of flavor. The staff is amazing. So incredibly friendly and provide amazing service. Amazing place highly recommend. So happy we tired this place ♡♡♡♡♡“
“Cool spot. Walked in without a reservation and sat within 5 minutes. Place is very intimate, we’re talking seating for maybe 15 or so people. They have a cocktail list of all kinds of interesting drinks. I thought the prices were high but somehow worth it. The hot wasabi fires are so good.“

“Perfect cosy neighborhood place! The gingerbread cocktail was probably the best cocktail I’ve ever had. It was absolutely scrumptious. We ordered half the menu and shared everything, and there was not a single miss. The pastrami egg rolls were my personal favorite, but I need to go back to try the burger. If you’re in point breeze, give it a try!“

“I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. They assured me that I was welcomed back anytime. I really appreciated that. Thank you.“

“Pleasant surprise stopping in Flight Club. Sat at the bar and had food and drinks. The staff is genuinely amazing; friendly, helpful, attentive without being obnoxious or instrusive, and just fun. Mark the bartender is not only a master of at his craft, he's just good people. Will be back!“

“Had a few drinks here with the lovely bartender Alyssa(sp?!) looking out for me and showing me the good stuff. Of course fancypants mcgee here had to go for the most expensive cocktail on the list, but The Waldorf is absolutely worth it! (Tobacco Road and Bombay Moon were beautiful too don't get me wrong)
Next time I'm in the area I'll try a few of their enormous assortment of whiskey's, I counted like 170ish on the shelves, lord knows what goodies they have in their secret stash... well worth the trip ?“

“Not kidding. Our table of 4 ordered nearly everything in the menu. Each bite was delicious, balanced, nuanced, worldly, fresh, and inventive. We ordered a second dish of the carrots, and also the cukes. Dessert was outstanding. Interesting wines, including a chilled Croatian wine that paired well with every dish. Definitely returning. Soon! ❤️“

“i LOVE this place AND that i live next door!! such a cute vibe with really good cocktails. even if you don’t like espresso martinis there are other things on the menu and the decor alone makes it worth it! also sara is the best if you’re sitting at the bar when she’s working. i asked her to surprise me with a drink and she killed it. highly recommend their happy hour and ask for sara!!“
“Paul was amazing, he is single handedly the reason I will be returning. While the menu is sure to impress, the atmosphere and staff are what push it into hidden gem territory!
We are in from out of town to celebrate my friends 21st birthday and Paul helped expand our pallets. He pushed the experience beyond memorable by recommending bars in our home town for us to explore that he’d personally recommend. Top notch drinks and top notch service.“
“Loved this place on a Thursday!!!! Great crowd and Music!!!! My Bartender Janice aka 'FANCY" was the BEST!!!!! Go check her out, you won't be disappointed.....“

“Had such a great time here. The atmosphere was elegant but also comfortable. The entire staff was super friendly and attentive, and the drinks were absolutely amazing. A shoutout to my server, Jess—she was wonderful and really made it a great experience. It’s also in a perfect location near several popular theaters in Philly, making it a great spot for pre- or post-show drinks. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend!“
“Went there for cocktails only and what a great place! The bartender and the other people working there were super nice. The cocktails were great. I will definitely go back and I strongly recommend if you want to try something new in the neighborhood considering they opened within the last year I think.“

“1st time there and can’t wait to go back! Great atmosphere, customer service and outstanding food! Loved the variety and unique tacos. Highly recommend. 👍🏻“
“I didn’t even know it was open as I walked but until a patron said you should go in for a drink. I was very glad I did. If you are not put off by the fact this is primarily a local spot for folks from the neighbourhood then the other patrons and staff was friendly. Beer was $2.50 a bottle and a shot of Hennessy was $5. The shots look small to the eye but are measured with their auto dosing system. A great value night cap on the way back to my hotel.“
“Having dinner with Leslie Smallwood-Lewis at Treble and Bass. Outstanding food and outstanding service!! Definitely five stars and five thumbsup!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾“
“Was there last night, our waitress never stayed at the table more than 2 seconds and it was not busy. She didn’t even say goodbye when we left. Yikes! Cocktails were yummy but the lights need to be lowered. Music was horrible as it kept getting skipped. Imagine dragons not a cocktail club vibe. Recommend a good vibe be set or will probably not return. Unfriendly waitress also made it way worse.“

“We had a good, not great meal here. For the price (which was considerable) we were definitely expecting a bit more. The cocktails were great and the service great, the food was a bit underwhelming. We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.“
“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

“Alice is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can be an art form. As a visitor to Philadelphia, the meal felt less like dinner and more like an invitation into a creative conversation between the kitchen, the ingredients, and the season itself.
What impressed me most was the restaurant's confidence. The menu is ambitious and inventive, yet never feels experimental for the sake of novelty. Each dish was thoughtful, balanced, and deeply satisfying, allowing exceptional ingredients to shine while still delivering moments of surprise. There is a clear point of view behind the food, but it is expressed with restraint and precision rather than excess.
In a city celebrated for its dining scene, it takes something special to stand out. Alice manages to do exactly that. Every course felt intentional, revealing a kitchen that is both imaginative and disciplined. There was always something unexpected to discover, which made the experience feel exciting from beginning to end.
The atmosphere complements the food perfectly—warm, welcoming, and intimate enough to encourage lingering over each course. It is rare to find a restaurant that feels both elevated and approachable, where serious culinary talent is matched by genuine hospitality.
Philadelphia is known for outstanding food, and Alice has distinguished itself as one of the most memorable and rewarding dining experiences I enjoyed during my visit. Long after returning home, I still find myself thinking about specific dishes, flavors, and moments from the evening—a testament to how thoughtfully every aspect of the experience is crafted.
For anyone visiting Philadelphia in search of a truly exceptional meal, Alice deserves a place at the very top of the list.“

“Simply put, this place should not exist. Oh wait? Did you want a perfectly baked crust to satiate your appetite? Well here, they grind the flour by hand in the back and let the dough slowly ferment for 8 days or so, just in case you fancied taking an express elevator directly to cloud nine. Speaking of clouds, the interior of their crust floats with such an airy elegance that your tastebuds feel like Jasmine, having reached out to touch the rare Arabian raincloud in the midst of her magic carpet ride. But what about the toppings, you ask? I'm sure if you book enough time in advance, you could meet the very boar that is fated to grace the top of the pie you will shortly sink your teeth into. Don't worry, Boris (I'm calling him Boris) lived in the lap of luxury on an idyllic Bucks County farm perfectly suited for your rustic, instagrammable wedding that us filthy city folk can only attend in a fever dream generally reserved for a Hallmark Channel screenwriter.
Aaron is some kind of foolish wizard who has unlocked a spell that Gandolf himself could only steal from his apron enshrouded Nonna from the Italian section of the Shire. The pizza should not be this good. The restaurant should not feel like a homecoming when it's your first time there. It certainly shouldn't cost $14 bucks. But somehow, it does.
For those of you on a quixotic quest to find the perfect pizza, here is your windmill. Go full tilt.“

“Where do I begin? Well let’s start with I had a change of plans and found this place through recommendations and felt like taking a night out on the town. I drove from Glassboro to here and I was greeted with great professionalism, the atmosphere was amazing, and the music was perfect. Now as my first time coming in, I had no idea what was good but my waitress Josephine L. made fantastic recommendations! I had the Steak which was fantastic and the cocktail she suggested, Risky Business, was a perfect blend between sweet and sour! In short honesty (and very nerdy talk) I wanted to feel like Bruce Wayne tonight and the staff did a very fantastic job of making me feel like it! Will definitely be returning!“

“I was super excited for this place, came for my husband’s birthday and after dinner my expectations weren’t met. We tried two of their daily specials, the smash burger was amazing!! We also got their prime rib sandwich and this was a miss. The price was a lot for being basically an overdone dry steak sandwich. The real kicker of the night was the service. We had Matt N. and he was not attentive and made us feel like we inconvenienced him. Honestly I will still recommend this place to my friends and family, but wish the service was just better for a special occasion.“
