“This was my second visit to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, and my first time experiencing their happy hour—and it did not disappoint. The menu had a great variety, and I enjoyed both the drinks and the pork bao buns.

A standout “happy accident” was ordering the pretzel rolls with truffle butter… absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for.

The bartenders were attentive and provided great service throughout our visit. We also tried the deviled eggs, which were just okay for me—the mustard base was a bit too strong for my taste.

Overall, Ripplewood is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe and nice outdoor seating in the back. It’s a great place for drinks, small bites, and a chill evening out.“

“Been coming here for two years since we moved to the area. They staff are amazing. The coffe and drinks are quality and tasty. They always have new and interesting additions to the menu. Cool atmosphere. Gets crowded, but that because all the cool kids hang out here! So glad to have them in the neighborhood.“

It's really noisy and space is tight, and every once in a while I meet someone new for an interesting conversation. The side order of vegetarian string beans was truly unforgettable. They were cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned so well that I honestly couldn’t stop eating them. I can confidently say they were some of the best string beans I’ve ever had.
The experience was made even better by our server , Lee, whose customer service was exceptional. She was warm, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her professionalism and genuine hospitality added the perfect finishing touch to an already amazing meal.

“Love the vibes here sooo much. Came here for the first time with my friend. He actually discovered this place and was intrigued when we came here. The wait time was 45 mins but it was okay because it’s intimate and peaceful and holds 45 ppl when is low key and mystique Shaan was my bartender and was super amazing and loving. Attentive although rot was pack but made us feel welcome and happy. Rito was the bartender and his drink was amazing short exotic and delicious. Nicole was the hostess the mostest. Love this place and appreciate the hospitality and great vibes from the workers and customers.“

“We usually come here on date nights for drinks, but decided to dine here before we moved out of the city. We are continuously impressed with the inventive nature of those working here. Both food and drink menus are rotating, some items new from season to season, while other staple items are reimagined with nuances to keep people’s palettes on their toes. I don’t think we’ve ordered something here that we haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. Tom is the mixologist bartender who is always pushing boundaries with his house cocktails. He has told us before that he tries to create a drink for each flavor profile. There seems to be a unique selection for everyone, and just like the chefs with their dishes, Tom is unapologetic in his choice of ingredients. There seems to be a lot of passion and pride in what is made here. Kiddo has a relaxed atmosphere, and the bar is our go-to spot. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is one-of-a-kind.“

“Intimate, moody venue with very elaborate cocktails that feature several ‘washed’ ingredients (e.g. gochujang washed xyz). It’s pretty cool, I guess. I would recommend stopping for 1 or 2 but I wouldn’t make it my whole night because it’s an awkward layout. The music was good, but something doesn’t quite gel together for me, albeit a beautiful space. We were downstairs (walk-in) - didn’t see upstairs (reserved tables), to be fair.“

“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

“Well prepared and creative seafood dishes. The charred hamachi collar was exceptional as was the snapper which can be easily shared. The server was very attentive. My only complaint is the noise level is too high to carry on a conversation. It is numbing. Fortunately we were able to eat outside and it was delightful.“

“Fantastic place! Great beer selections and cocktails. The food was fantastic. We had the Coconut Shrimp, Fried Green Tomatoes to start. Then we had the Brisket Sandwich and my husband had the Buffalo Wings. The Brisket Sandwich was amazing...so incredibly tender, lots of flavor, completely falls apart with each bite. My husband was so happy with his wings. He was so happy that they were actually crispy and full of flavor. The staff is amazing. So incredibly friendly and provide amazing service. My sister and I got mocktails which were pretty good, not too tart, not too sweet. We both got smash burgers which were decent. It wasn't too greasy or messy, which is appreciated. We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.“

“I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. The place is so cozy and comfortable. The staff is absolutely accommodating attentive, friendly and fast.
