“The service is very good, and the food is delicious. However, the focus on drive-thru is very poor. In the morning, they will take your order quickly from anywhere. At night, the dry-thru is good, but inside the restaurant, sometimes it takes a long time and the staff is small at night, but they do their best. The food is very delicious; I recommend it.”

Thanks to the entire Canteen family - and I say FAMILY purposefully as you feel the family atmosphere as soon as you arrive - for hosting our team for dinner last week. We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. The guests raved all the way back across the harbour on the ferry about the wonderful meal from start to finish. It’s a lovely space that is not pretentious and puts an emphasis on fantastic food and exemplary service, with a genuine smile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Yesterday we had the privilege of eating at The Narrows Halofax, Nova Scotia's #1 Public House and number #12 in Canada. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and personable host made us feel like we were home! “We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!”

“A foodie’s paradise and our new favourite restaurant! There were four of us, and we each ordered a different breakfast. Every dish was packed with flavour, and we honestly couldn’t decide which one was the best. We shared a slice of cheesecake to finish our meal, and it was the best we’ve ever eaten! The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we’ll definitely be back.”

As you go through the door u see the sign Canadian Owned and also Truly Canadian. Then why are you not using French's catsup instead of Heinz. In our home we use only French's and it is Canadian.
