In a scramble, we reached out to Anima for a short-notice wedding reception venue for our party of 28 guests. They didn't just accommodate us; they went above and beyond to create a seamless, warm, and unforgettable evening. The experience felt truly high-end, yet we were pleasantly surprised by how incredibly affordable they made it for us—offering superb value for such quality. The Tapas Menu they put together for us was nothing short of divine. Each dish was a masterpiece—flavourful, creative, and beautifully presented. Our guests raved about the food, noting it was easily some of the best they’ve ever had. Anima delivered a true culinary experience that elevated our special night. The service was perfection. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance — upscale but relaxed, cool without trying too hard, and just genuinely fun to be in. My wife absolutely loved the wine selection — thoughtful, diverse, and clearly curated by people who know what they’re doing. As a whiskey guy, I was equally impressed. The selection was strong, the pour was perfect, and the staff really knew their stuff. They didn’t just serve drinks — they made recommendations, shared insights, and clearly take pride in what they do. Speaking of the staff — they were a true standout. Knowledgeable, welcoming, and incredibly friendly without being overbearing. Hospitality done right. We were in town visiting friends, and this place immediately became the spot. It was a birthday celebration for my husband and he was also blown away by the extra service and attention to make the day special for him. The food…10/10 for this foodie. If I could rate it higher, I would. The service and ambiance was completely out of this world. Loud enough that you could still hear each other and have meaningful conversations but not too quiet that it’s awkward so safe to say the perfect blend that we were looking for! RUN! Don’t walk and if you’re on the fence, hesitate no more. You will NOT be disappointed. “I ordered JINYA Ramen through DoorDash and overall it was really good. The broth was flavorful and you can tell the ingredients are high quality, but I do feel like ramen just isn’t at its absolute best when it’s delivered. By the time it arrived, it wasn’t quite as hot or fresh as it probably would be in person. Still, the flavors held up well and it definitely satisfied the craving. I’d 100% try it again — just probably dining in next time for the full experience.“

“I read somewhere that the name of the restaurant translates to “chicken bar” which is exactly what Toridokoro Raku is. They specialize in practically every part of the chicken. And it is all delicious. They grill everything on a Robata grill using imported Japanese binchotan charcoals. It makes all the difference. As do all the other details like the Japanese condiments and sauces to the type of chicken and high quality meats they use. The unused bits of binchotan charcoals as chopstick holders was also a nice touch. It all adds up to a very authentic and satisfying Japanese grilling experience. From the service, to the meats I had a great experience start to finish. Will happily come back again and again.“

“I’ve been here twice now because I loved the atmosphere the first time I went. The first time I had the salmon (very good) and chicken croquettes. Loved the chicken more than the lobster croquettes that I had the second time I went. I also had the west coast oysters (very fresh), elote (lacked some flavor), and the po boy (smaller than expected) the second time. Overall though, I will definitely be coming back.“

The handroll sets are good if you like a variety of items on one plate. Just remember that if it has spicy in the name or description expect it to be spicy. “This is the second time going to Echo & Rig and had an amazing time. My wife and I flew in from Idaho for a few days away from the cold. My sister and brother-in-law drove up from California to meet us and from the glowing review I told her about from the 1st time I came here my sister wanted to go. We were 1/2 hour early and they were able to seat us within 5 minutes. Lucas was our server and he did an incredible job. My sister can be a little demanding and difficult and he took it in stride, he never got frustrated or impaired his service to us because of her. Thank you to the entire staff at Echo & Rig, we will definitely be back!“

“So picky eater of the family ( 5 year old who could eat grilled cheese everyday) picked this place because they wanted noodles. Luckily we could get the Ramen bowl with just broth and ramen. We also had Chicke Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice. Food is cooked fresh and delicious. Fried Rice isn't like some places...not cooked hard and little seasoning. My one and only complaint is the to go boxes basically can't hold the food and fall apart. I suggest asking for a plastic container for to go. Other than that, come in with an empty stomach and some dollarz.“
