“My family, wife and two daughters have been coming here for about 10 years. We come from California and would stop over on our camping trips to Yellowstone, Wyoming and Montana. Carlillos soon became a regular stop for any business in the eastern sierras. I grew up in San Diego and this is the best Mexican food I’ve had. Not because it’s complex or a fancy restaurant, it just makes you feel at home regardless of where you live or where you came from. Great family, atmosphere and food. I usually get Huevos Rancheros and the family tries something different every time and it’s always good. Girls are in college now but they always ask when are we going back.“

“The dining area is small but stylish. There are only a few tables inside and one outside. The dishes are to-go, whether you’re eating in or taking your bowl to go.

Service was friendly and they were helpful when it came to explaining vegan options. My SO is not vegan ? so he ordered a hamachi, spicy salmon and crab salad. He said it was delicious. Mine was delicious too and it felt like I was eating something fresh and healthy.“

“I ate the bean and cheese papusas, and I loved them!. They were soft, tasty, and had just the right ratio of beans to cheese. The curtido had the right amount of spice and was crispy and delicious.
I also had a carne asada taco, which was just a basic carne asado taco. Its hard to make a taco any more special than it already is.
This place is bumping with with to go orders, door dash, and dine in customers, and my food still came hot and quick. There were two people running the cash registers both efficiently and quickly. Both of them were bilingual and friendly. I would be a repeat customer if I actually lived in the area because the overall experience was pretty good.“

Today we shared a 1 piece fried catfish with sides of potato salad and red beans n rice. comes with a piece of cornbread, house made pickles, tartar sauce, fresh lemon. You can get more than 1 piece, but it's so big it's all we can eat sharing it lol Staff has always been the greatest. Restaurant is always clean. Thank you for amazing fried catfish and sides. “It's not just Mexican cuisine; there are several other options from Italian to American! This is one of my favorite places to eat in the Reno/Sparks area. In fact, it's my very favorite non-buffet restaurant there. You could literally spend your whole vacay on the property and have a satisfying time. I recommend Western Village as a whole, and Pancho and Willies specifically. The staff is easy on the eyes, too, but that's not why you should go. Okay, it's not *much* of the reason ;-)“

“My husband ordered a combination plate over the phone, but when he arrived at Hong Kong Express, there was a small mix-up and he was given three à la carte items instead, fried rice, vegetable delight, and General’s chicken.

What really stood out was how the staff handled it. They were extremely professional, didn’t get upset or rude at all. Instead, they honored the original combination plate price and told my husband he could keep all the food!

The customer service was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. We’re very happy with our experience and will definitely be recommending Hong Kong Express to family and friends. We’ll be back for sure!“

The Pork Tamales were very good. They had plenty of pork and the right amount of corn meal for the pork on the outside.

The Chili Relleno were also very good. They were filled with lots of cheese and cooked in eggs. The sauce that covered the peppers was not too mild or too hot.“
