“Empanash is literally a hidden gem. Google maps took me to the parking lot nearby and there is no large signage for the place so it took a minute to locate it nestled in a little alley between other shops, but its cant-miss dining! I ordered all the vegetarian empanadas and also the Cinner Sweet desert empanada. They were all incredible and delicious! The staff was so friendly and genuine, I could tell they really enjoyed creating such delicious meals to share with others. Will be going back here for sure on future Tahoe visits!“

“6 of us had a superb meal. The server was attentive, but forgot to mention the rolls had powdered garlic after I had told him I had a intolerance of Powdered and dried garlic.. I ordered the Lobster ravioli, which was an appetizer, for my dinner and a dinner sized portion was served. It was delicious and I devoured the whole dinner. Will come again when we are in the are.“

“On our first visit to Tahoe we discovered Maggie's for dinner. Its cozy and intimate, boutique feel is a great atmosphere for a date night, anniversary or other special occasion. They have a good wine list and the sea bass and braised rib were wonderful! The menu isn't expansive but all the choices were very good, including the burrata starter. Service was friendly and attentive.“

“We enjoyed everything we were served here! From the shrimp Chow Fun to the Eggplant in sweet and sour sauce, the dishes were cooked perfectly. The spicy chicken wings were crisp and flavorful with just the right amount of spice from the Serrano peppers. The bok choi, broccoli, and veggies we had were fresh and nothing was greasy. The noodles were great and we enjoyed the different meats we ordered. They season things well and nothing is overly sauced.

“Excellent Italian dinner with family on a weekend in South Lake Tahoe. What a great discovery! Conveniently on the boulevard, with a free parking lot at the rear and along the window front. Fully wheelchair accessible from parking / sidewalk with ramp. Called in for a reservation late afternoon, took a table at 7pm. We went there mid October, although during shoulder season the place was packed and many families were on a waitlist. Greeted by friendly, welcoming front desk and seated within minutes by helpful usher (booth table at the window). Server welcomed us, provided menu/drink list and explained the daily specials. Ice water, our drinks, and bread with olive oil were quickly served while we selected our dishes. We shared two appetizers, followed by mains and desserts. What a feast, can't remember when I had Italian comfort food that good. Tasty, delicious, hot plates and big portions. Yummy! At a great pace of being served, absolutely not being rushed. High five, highly recommended!!!“

“While this restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, what they serve within is spectacular and a new family favorite. Appetizers were out in under five minutes and the main course within an additional five minutes. Food was hot and fresh. General Tsao was the favorite at the table. Even got a show of a couple bears outside in the dumpster.“

We thought the host of the cafe was attentive and friendly alongside Francis - she’s a very warm, attentive, and loving lady who also recommended us to try their special Eggs Benedict.

The Waitress took our order for us starting with coffee, Eggs Benedict, and Omelette with Ham and Cheese. Each meal served with hash browns, and mine came with an English muffin too.

We waited probably around 10-12mins, the Eggs Benedict came a bit later but not that much different from a wait.

What we loved about their breakfast, both weren’t too overpowering with flavours. And that we can simply add condiments when we want to.

The only downside was the coffee no kick of strong, bold and good flavour and aroma from the coffee - we felt just drinking flavoured drink. Also the ambience which can be a bit noisy around, especially, we came during the peak hours.

We want to give compliments to the staff, the cooks, and the overall service. We’re very pleased with the food. And special mention to Francis, her enthusiasm and energetic presence added value to the Red Hut Cafe.

“The tapas were very good. We had 5 of choices, gnocchi, beets, herbed ciabatta, scallops, and fried potatoes. Dessert was the white chocolate bread pudding with Grand Marnier and blueberries. It was all delicious. We also attended the magic show. The seats were somewhat on the small/medium size, but the show David Goldrake presented was huge in quality. We will definitely eat at the Loft again when in South Lake Tahoe.“

“Erin did a fantastic job on our wedding cake and cupcakes! We wanted a little something different (a very deep burgundy vintage heart cake) and she blew it out of the water! I have always felt like cake just tastes like, well, cake haha. But the cake Erin made was genuinely SO GOOD. We received so many compliments on our cake. “My husband and I *landed* at The Landing on the last week of May 2025, out of complete happenstance! We started out our honeymoon at The Post Marc Hotel, after seeing 4-5 rooms, each in worse condition than the last, we kindly requested a refund and left. We had no idea what to do, our honeymoon was off to a rocky start, but little did we know The Landing had us covered! We saw they had good reviews and decided to walk inside and see what it was like! We were immediately greeted by incredibly warm and outgoing staff members Charles and Serafina! They listened to our story, empathized with us, and were able to get us an amazing deal on a room! They let us walk around and take a look at it before we purchased which was much appreciated and helped in our decision making! And Charles even made sure we had a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay to “help start the honeymoon out right”, I mean what a sweetheart, so thoughtful and kind! Charles and Serafina truly made MAGIC happen for us and we could not be more grateful to them. They are the reason we had a wonderful honeymoon and we are just so thankful. After getting us situated in a fabulous room with: heated floors, heated toilet seats, jet tub, dual shower, fireplace and patio complete with mountain & lake views, we were told all about, all the perks of staying at The Landing! They have a shuttle that can take you or pick up anywhere in the local area, they had a lovely heated pool and spacious jetted spa, and we were given free beach passes to a private section of the beach! Everything was wonderful! Stephanie & Mel at the front desk checked on us each morning to see how our stay was going! From the quick and attentive housekeeping, to Kevin the wonderful conversationalist bell hop & shuttle driver, to server Aaron’s 5 star room service from Jimmy’s restaurant, even down to the little coffee kiosk in the lobby loving filled with hot chocolates, apple ciders and toppings—everything was perfect!!! And everyone made sure our experience was top notch, the hospitality was unmatched! We had such a nice time that now we won’t stay anywhere else in Tahoe, this is our new go to spot! If you have absolutely any hesitation about booking with The Landing—DON’T! When you’re at The Landing, you are truly in safe hands, with a warm and attentive staff that genuinely cares about your time there. Thank you to everyone at The Landing for providing the most incredible honeymoon experience! We will definitely be back! “It is a nice restaurant with a nice view. The food was good, service was a little lacking. My only issue was they were out of alot of things on the menu. When I ordered the prime rib they brought it and it was way over cooked and hard to cut. I think it was reanimated from the prior days service. They replaced it with a ribeye which was cooked beautifully and well seasoned. Overall it was a lovely meal with a lovely view. I believe they had a huge weekend service and we visited on a Monday.“

“We were married at the Idle Hour on June 17, 2023 and Candace and her team catered our small wedding (about 30 people). They did a fantastic job, we had marinated tri-tip, cedar planked salmon, truffle macaroni and cheese (loved by kids and adults!), roasted veggies, roasted potatoes and focaccia. Everything tasted great, the tri-tip was a perfect medium-rare and whatever they marinated it in was delicious. The salmon was soft and luscious. I wish we would have doubled the order for the mac and cheese so we could take it home and eat it the rest of the week. The veggies were a nice mix of summer squash, asparagus and mushrooms. The potatoes were seasoned well. The staff were professional and helpful; seriously so friendly and went the extra mile. The set up looked great and all of our guest complimented the food. I couldn't be happier that we chose Bella Tahoe.“

“Food is fine but nothing special. Service, drinks and atmosphere are very good! Pizzas are disappointing but the white pizza is definitely the best one and imo the only one worth the price. Sandwiches are good. The side salads are really good. Everything carries the "Tahoe tax" aka overpriced. Love the vibes and we come here often just to eat around the fire pits“
