Pro:
1. It is very cheap, I mean averagely you only spend $20 or even less for one dish. And good portion.
2. It is a classic Chinese flavor, not too spicy, not overly sweet. Just good.
Cons:
1. It is quite small. You may need to wait long if you come at rush hour.
2. Not many choices, I order like 15 dishes one time and that's basically everything they have

“The BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had! If you are even considering ordering Chinese food, order from Golden Wok. The rice is authentic and flavorful. The orange chicken and General Tso’s chicken are saucy with the perfect amount of spice, flavor, and veggies. The crab rangoons are crispy perfection and the egg rolls are crunchy and delicious. “Gin Gin might be my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Buffalo! Even as someone who grew up working in Chinese restaurants, Gin Gin has impressed me. First impression, it's an older restaurant, the interior is nothing fancy, but older, which might give the wrong impression but I'm not one to quickly judge until I get my food. So after we sat down, we were given the menu. All Chinese restaurants have a big menu with countless options to choose from, but Gin Gin has by far the largest menu I've ever seen, adding onto the dishes not on the actual menu but posted on the walls. The cool thing is that they serve not just your typical American Chinese food but also some authentic Chinese dishes. So it took me quite some time to decide what to order. I even had to ask the boss for recommendations. She recommended me the Curry Chicken (Chop). Which was unlike the Curry Chicken my family's restaurant used to make or any other restaurant I've been to. The use bone in chicken wing pieces instead of the typical chicken breast/thigh meat. While I do prefer it the typical way, I was down to try something new. The Egg Drop Soup was also great, and it came with a side of Crispy Noodles, which you can add into the soup. But I like dipping it in duck sauce like chips and salsa. The Egg Drop Soup was very flavorful and I believe they use chicken broth/stock instead of just water, which means higher quality! The Beef w Garlic Sauce is something I always love to get when I go to Chinese restaurants, and they made it beautifully. It was full of flavor and better than most Beef w Garlic Sauce I've had. The portions were also great! We left all full and satisfied. Will definitely be back to try other stuff next time!“

“Our family ate dinner together on our first visit and we got to experience the karaoke room along with our meal. It was so, so fun!!! “Literally writing this as I scarf down the rest of my leftovers. This restaurant makes some of the best authentic Chinese food in Buffalo. To preface, if you’re looking for American Chinese food like sesame chicken or lo mein, I would go somewhere else, as a lot of the negative reviews about Home Taste were from people expecting the fried, over sweet American stuff.
Anyway, I ordered the pork and leek dumplings, fresh green beans with minced pork, and spicy chicken for takeout. Everything was seasoned to perfection, cooked perfectly, and packaged nicely. I’m definitely coming back.
The drawbacks about this place is that it’s a very small mom and pop shop. It’s a family working the whole restaurant and they’re always in a rush and busy. If you’re ordering takeout on a busy night, order an hour ahead despite what it says on Grubhub and offer them grace for all the hard work they put into their delicious food.“

“Only good Chinese restaurant I've found in NY so far. The pork fried rice was actually fried in soy sauce like it should be. The general tso chicken was actually chicken instead of duck and this is the first Chinese restaurant I've seen that cooks the general tso chicken in fresh jalapeños which actually made it hot. Really hot. It was really good. Well worth the $30 I spent and I will be back on payday to do it all over again. The egg fu young was a large serving biggest I've seen. The people were friendly and had no problem answering my odd questions about the fried rice since I've had nothing but bad Chinese in NY until now. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall great restaurant this will be the only Chinese restaurant I eat at while I'm here in NY.“

“Food was just OK. I've eaten at many P.F. Chang's and honestly, this is probably my least favorite location. I am from Arizona and was here visiting. It was extremely cold in the restaurant. We noted other people asking to move their seats as well as ourselves. “Best Chinese food in Buffalo and I’ve tried a lot to the point I stopped going to any altogether. We moved down the street and decided to try this place out. It was great, quick and exactly what you except. I love their wonton soup, normally I never even eat wontons, I get it for the broth but their wontons are very good. Crab Rangoons are triangle shaped which I prefer over the sharp ones that most places have. They used to give sweet tea I was never really sure why but I love sweet tea so I’m not gonna question it but the last time we went they started giving out water bottles which is still nice but I prefer the tea.“

“As is tradition, my girl and I got some Christmas Chinese food, and this place just happened to be close. I checked the reviews, and I almost skipped this place due to the negative reviews. I wanted to give some fair feedback on both the food and our experience.

First, the service was like most Chinese food spots; food is ready in about 15 minutes. They told me as much, but it only took a little under 10. The woman was very nice and courteous. I have nothing bad to say except..

The price. Most things were a dollar or two more expensive than the menu, and as some other reviews have mentioned, they do skimp a little bit on the protein portions. I understand that everything is expensive now, but I spent $65. On this one issue, I think they could do better.

So how is the food? It's about as good as any other local Chinese place. That's not to disparage them. It's what I expect when I go to these restaurants. I wasn't let down. In fact, I could tell that everything was cooked fresh except the wonton soup. That may have been on the heater a while as the wontons fell apart.

In addition to the Wonton Soup, we ordered General Tso, Beef Lo Mein, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Boneless Spare Ribs. Here's my thoughts on each of them.

-General Tso: It wasn't very crispy, but unlike a lot of places, they do serve it on a bed of broccoli, and the broccoli was perfect. I would otherwise say that this item was mid.

-Beef Lo Mein: This had some of the most tender strips of beef I've ever had in a beef lo mein. This was the real winner 10/10. My main issue was the amount of beef included.

-Boneless Spare Ribs: The strips of ribs were also tender, but I've never had it served on a bed of broccoli, and unlike the General Tso, they covered the entire bottom of the dish with broccoli which lead to far less meat than I would otherwise have gotten. It was very good, but I felt just a little bit gipped.

-Sweet and Sour Pork: These were great and didn't make the ride home. They were crispy, double fried, and delicious. I don't usually dip in sweet and sour sauce, so I have no review on it. The pork balls were good though!

-To sum it up, we had a good experience albeit costly. If I got the same quality for $10-15 less, or just a little more meat for the price paid, I would have given an additional star on all points.

Maybe my experience was different than these other people, or maybe they were expecting fine dining. This ain't that.“
