“Stonehedge has always been a favorite restaurant for our family. Unfortunately due to life circumstances we hadn’t been there for a couple of years. My husband and I decided to end the drought and went to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad we did. Everything was even better than we remembered it. It started with the delicious and wonderfully fresh dinner rolls that we’ve always loved. The French onion soup was the best I’ve had in ages (I’m a French onion soup snob😂) and the baked stuffed clams were just as my husband remembered them. The dinner salad with the house dressing was cold and fresh, and we highly recommend the double cut pork chop and the jumbo shrimp francaise as dinner entrees. We both left full and more than satisfied - they never disappoint! Thank you to the folks at Stonehedge for the great meal and good service. It felt like we were coming home! We promise you’ll see us again soon.“

“We drove from fishkill after my mom’s chemo treatment in pok … we haven’t been here in a while because it is a drive but we were in pok and we were in the mood for different. We were very happy with the food everything was great we just weren’t happy with the service, we had to ask multiple times for Splenda, the waitress spilled the milk and I used my napkins, she never gave us extra (she had them in her apron) I had to call her over for some then she was taking the finished plates and dropped the butter knife on my mothers foot and never apologized and seen it fall and looked under the table . not sure if the waitress was a bit off her game but we decided to enjoy the food.“

“It's so nice to be able to walk 5 minutes from my house and get such a great breakfast. I always order 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches and they come out fast on fresh hard rolls with delicious crispy bacon. It's better and much cheaper than that other popular deli in poughkeepsie. Oh yeah!“

Whether eating in the Cafe or getting take-out we're always happy with the service from the staff. My wife needs gluten free options and this is our favorite place in the area to reliably have great options.

My personal favs are an omelet with spinich, tomato, and feta cheese for breakfast or the fresh caprese sandwich (sometimes I add a burger patty) for lunch/dinner. And the homefries are AMAZING.“

“Me and my wife are breakfast enthusiasts. Whether it is a new Diner or a new restaurant we are always looking for a new breakfast spot. We came here after my wife had a minor dental procedure. There was a little wait but we didn't mind it was like 5 minutes. When we were seated we were greeted by our waitress, Jennifer. She was awesome all morning. Very vibrant personality with great energy. She explained menu items made my wife a special Coffee and made our experience that much better. The food was outstanding. My wife had scrambled eggs with French toast because she could not eat anything super hard and she has been talking about those eggs days after we left. I got an omelette with pancakes and they were very good. The price to food ratio was outstanding. We are looking forward to coming back. We recently moved to the area and sometimes go to a diner or cracker barrel but it think this will be our new go to for breakfast and once we try the lunch or dinner it will be our go to for that as well. They also do a fun trivia night. Bartenders personalities also add to the vibe which is usually upbeat and fun.“

“We visited on a Friday afternoon in late June 2025. There were plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot when we arrived. There were a few that were shaded by trees but they were all taken.

The restaurant is located near the bathrooms around the corner from the information desk when you first enter. Just go in and head towards the right hallway.

We didn't actually eat here but I stepped in quick to check it out while everyone was going to the restroom.

There were a number of tables and bench seating and it looked like there was outside seating as well under a large pavilion roof. It looked like there was enough space to move in between the tables nicely with a wheelchair or stroller.

The food prices are higher than you expect but normal for a museum cafeteria like this at a tourist attraction. It looked like they had food options for picky eaters as well. Large selection of premade sandwiches and salads so you can just grab and go if you're in a hurry. The food did look fresh and not like it had been sitting there for days.

Overall the visitor center was a great place to visit. There was so much more we could've done here and explored but we were short on time. I think if we were ever in the area again we would visit and I wouldn't' hesitate to grab some food here either.“

The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the food always comes out quickly—which is a huge plus. We’ve eaten here multiple times and have never once been disappointed. Quality varies a lot depending on who's cooking, but there are some things that are very consistent.Most things can be ordered using the meal plans pick 3 option (for those who don't know that's using a meal swipe for one main item, a drink, and a side).Wait time will be different depending on what you order. Usually burgers are very fast, pizza takes a bit longer, and Rossie's or noodles takes the longest (during busy times over 30 minutes).Speaking of Rossie's, if you've had the real deal than don't bother getting it here. This is still Sodexo making it, they just have access to the same ingredients and recipes. Also they're missing roast beef so you can't get the best thing Rossie's has anyways.Very strong vegetarian options if you don't mind eating the same thing a lot. The tofu for the noodles isn't anything to write home about and sometimes you'll need to break it up and let it warm up in the broth for a bit, but it's still pretty dang good.Top choices would be:1. Noodles, or oodles as they call it for some unknown reason.2. Pizza. Just make sure one of the good people is there to make it.3. Burger, they're not great but you'll get the same thing every time4. Rossie's. It's still pretty good, just not close to the real thing.“

“The shrimp Rasta pasta is really so good also the Mac and cheese .. But I can’t say the same abt the oxtail plate I got with rice and peas and yams …. Expensive dish to only get 4 small oxtails .. the yams was flavorless the best thing was rice peas even tho it coulda some more gravy. But I’m willing to always give another chance“

“I went on 10/22/2024 to the location on Albany Street in Poughkeepsie N.Y. Today is my mom Birthday we had a party of seven. When we arrived we were told they don't have big table for our size party. They managed to add a table. The food was a 1.5 Everyone fries were over cooked the chicken was dry not a bit of Honey was tasted on the sandwiches. Tap water warm little to barely no ice. It took over 30 minutes to receive our meals no bread sticks salad nothing offered while we waited. It was a HORRIBLE DINNER. We asked if they have any Bday specials were told No. Do you sing Happy Birthday No. Mind you we were told by the person that recommended the place said they do sing Happy Birthday. I'm starting to feel it was a racial situation. Yet we still left tips. The Family had to go find Food upon leaving. The server was great it was her second day. I wish her well“

“We ordered the Grinch ice cream cake for our Christmas dessert, and it was a total hit! The design was absolutely perfect! It was so festive, Grinchy, and it was almost too cute to eat. The 10-inch size was great for our group, and the chocolate/vanilla combo with the fudge crunchies was a crowd-pleaser. It looked just like the pictures and tasted even better. “What started off as a sad and somber day with the funeral for my grandmother ended with a very high note: after the visiting hours we gathered at Cappola's Restaurant in Hyde Park. This is a spot my family has been going to for generations. Well, when I was a kid I got dragged to some family function 20 years ago that I was very bored at. I wound up scraping plates and working in the kitchen that day (I was about 9 or 10 years old at the time.) I latched onto John Cappola's arm and was given a full tour of the restaurant, $5 cash for helping out, and a life experience that I will never forget! John and I took some pictures that day, I asked him to autograph a menu for me, and I decided I wanted to go into the restaurant business. He talked me out of it, which I was quite glad he did because I wound up going into coins and antiques a few years later. John, you showed me that day the value of hard work, the concept of what the American dream is all about, and how to hustle in business. Interestingly enough, John said he wondered what had happened to me just a couple of days prior to today! John's family started this legendary restaurant on Main Street in Poughkeepsie back in 1961. They subsequently went to open the restaurant in Hyde Park where he and his brothers still run it today. "Cappola's: a Hudson Valley Tradition Since 1961!" “This is my favorite takeout/delivery restaurant here in Hopewell and ratings are based on that. The quality has improved over the past 10 years and everything we have ordered was satisfactory. The pizza is NY style and is REALLY good for the price. Delivery is quick, courteous, and never made a mistake. I wouldn't consider a different pizza shop if I can get Frattelos.“
