You also have the option to put cheese on anything! If you have a young one, ask one of the cashiers for a free ballon. The inside dining area seems like it’s still stuck in the 1990s, but I’m fine with that!“

“Love the Wheelhouse. I usually come here for brunch and dinner. The sandwiches and pastas are always on point, melding richness and flavor. The Cuban sandwich and pulled pork sandwiches are my go tos. If I’m in the mood for messy, I’ll have the short rib sandwich - juicy and slightly sweet. I recently got the short rib cavatelli pasta and it might be my new fave. My boyfriend’s standard grilled cheese with a chicken cutlet is also excellent. But it is the chicken alfredo pasta that makes me wish I weren’t lactose intolerant.

The service is also attentive and friendly, makes you feel like a neighbor. Highly recommend.“

I also really appreciate how easy it is to customize; if there’s a specific ingredient you don’t like, they’ll make the adjustment without you having to pick a whole different wrap. “Yes, I saw the John Oliver episode about Subway and know some people look down on the place, but this location seems to always have really fresh ingredients. They also sometimes throw in a free cookie with your delivery, which is very kind IMO. And they never get your order wrong. This is a good little spot.“

Their fries are outstanding - I asked for them extra crispy and each one had a nice crunch to it. Gyro sandwich was very good and fresh. The only improvement I’d suggest is that they actually ROLL it (like the picture on their menu) in paper foil so it’s easy to eat. Instead they fold it in half on a paper plate and wrap that in foil which requires some reconstruction.But I’ll definitely be back, great neighborhood spot for a quick bite!“

“This is the best bodega to order delivery from in the neighborhood. Straightforward deli sandwiches - everything is fresh and there are options to customize whatever you’re looking for specifically. Sometimes a girl just wants a big cheese sandwich with a ton of veggies and Mayo and for whatever reason that impossible to order from other spots. They also have a good selection of chips, fruit etc as well as beer if you want. Currently there’s a discount on seamless if you spend a certain amount which makes it even more worth it.“

Sometimes I just deal with it, but other times I feel the need to point out the mistake directly. I try to be polite, especially to the people preparing my dish, and I feel terrible bringing it up. However, the cashier needs to do their job and pay attention to my requests. I always make it clear what I want on my sandwich.
