“I stopped by BZ Grill in Astoria for a quick lunch and left seriously impressed. The owner, Margarita, is a super nice, hardworking lady who clearly takes pride in her food — everything is made fresh and with care.

I ordered the Bifteki Sandwich Lunch Special, which comes with fries. The bifteki (a seasoned Greek-style all-beef patty) was packed with flavor — juicy, perfectly grilled over charcoal, and I could taste a hint of cumin and other warm spices. Easily a 9/10. I also tried the kebab— a delicious mix of ground beef and lamb with Middle Eastern spices. It was tender and flavorful — a solid 8.5/10.

Overall, BZ Grill is a must-try for Greek street food lovers. Great flavors, generous hospitality, and a clean, welcoming vibe. I’ll definitely be back!“

The owner gave me a call a few minutes after I made the order to let me know they were out of fufu (pounded yams) and replaced it with yellow rice. I enjoyed the goat — it has a kick but not overwhelmingly spicy. The choice I made was excellent. I am most definitely ordering again and hope I can try the fufu next time.“

“This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come.

Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience.

“Amazing place. So invited. You walk in and it feels like family. The staff, especially the owner, are all wonderful. I go there with my 1 year old daughter and always get the vegan Spinach pie. OMG sooooo freaking good. I can eat so many of them but I restrict myself to one. Even my daughter loves it. She gets so happy when we stroll on into the cafe because she knows what that means. “This is our new favorite spot in the neighborhood! We’ve sat in and also ordered from Seamless and they never disappoint. We love the tuna tiradito and veracruz ceviche. Everything is cooked perfectly and the margaritas are tasty and inexpensive. This place is located a bit off the beaten path but it should absolutely be packed everyday. Also, Oscar provides some of the best service I’ve had in years!“
