The only problem was we felt a little rushed. we were still enjoying our appetizer when the main course was brought out and then the server quickly returned to the kitchen. “We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner on Christmas Eve and came across Sumou. The rolls tasted fresh and were great quality.Inside was nicely dim and there's two dining areas, one for hibachi which we will be back for!Service was excellent, yelp check-ins even got me a free glass of house wine! The rolls were beautifully made, and came out super fast.Pricing was perfect for a sushi restaurant, $8-$18 a roll and the appetizers were in the same range.“

“I must say that I don't normally take the time and write reviews, but I had to this time! I went with my husband and it was our very first time at this restaurant. I had a 9:15PM reservation but got there early and we were seated instantly saying our table was already available!! YAY! The place is very nice and cozy I felt. Staff was GREAT! There was not a moment where we weren't attended to. A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO OUR SERVER GINA!!! SHE WAS AWESOME!!! THE FOOD WAS SUPERB!!! “Everything about this restaurant is amazing. You can tell they put a lot of care into everything they do and it really pays off. The food is delicious and I love how the menu changes seasonally. “Most of the Sundays morning I order family breakfast and I have never had any issues the order is always on point they really take time to read your order and follow the instructions, the the cashier guy even call me by my name is something so simple but it cheers me up every time, also very the restaurant is very clean. I just move from bayshore but I will drive 30 minutes to get my home fries ?“

“Amazing atmosphere, food, service and owners! This little restaurant has been serving Bayshore for over 35 years!! I would suggest the Chowder Flight where you can pick 3 different soups to try for under $9! One of the best New England Clam chowders on the Island!!!

Parking: Parking is in front and the back of the building along with valet parking on the weekends!

“We recently had the pleasure of having our baby shower in the greenhouse. Verde has long been my wife and I favorite restaurant so no brainer to have this event there. The owner Andy and his staff made sure this day was perfect for us. They went above and beyond with all accommodations including providing many gluten free and vegan options for our guests. The staff was wonderful and really hustled all day long to take care of everyone. There is no better option for venue, food, drinks and staff. Couldn’t recommend a place anymore than I do this one!“

“I went for their anniversary special. It was busy as to be expected and I had some trouble with the app. But more importantly. It was worth the wait (extra because I ended up doing 2 separate orders.) But when I got home I definitely enjoyed the meal.“

“Khyber Grill was closed for a bit. But they're open again and the food was absolutely outrageous. Everything was delicious and perfectly spicy. Feels very homemade. Our meal was wonderful and after all of our leftovers will be back!

Parking: Huge lot, basically at corner of 5th and Spur S in Bay Shore so convenient to Southern State and Sunrise.“

“The tap room is the best place to go. I love it there. The foods is great and the drinks are beyond the best. I had sagergia with all fruits In The drink. The best drink I've ever had, and mine you I don't drink, but this put me back to a drink I would love to have when you're out, have a great time. They had music with a plus. “The pizza lunch special is $5.99 until 3pm for two plain slices and a fountain soda. I grabbed two specials for myself and a friend. We definitely enjoyed the slices which reminded us of old school pizzerias. Please do not try to improve, just keep the same recipe. Keep up the good job guys!“

“While I was with my son and his wife, we decided to eat here, the service was good and the burgers were also good, my mom ordered an Argentinian steak (skirt) medium rare and it was overcooked plus the dish came out cold. “If I could give 10 stars I would. The whole staff here is beyond amazing. They make my mother in law feel so special every time we come in, and the food is always hot and fresh. Full of flavor but not grease.

Wheelchair accessibility: My Mother in Law is in a wheelchair after having a stroke, and the Men there all rally around here whenever we're there. They move tables, constantly check if she needs anything, will do table service for her, hold the door when going in or out, even helping her into an Uber.“

“I took my mom here as I wanted to take her out on a date together. My mom deserves to get out and enjoy the lovely weather we have been getting up in the Long Island area. We came to this spot (by the way it's called "American Standard"). I think the bar/restaurant change the name.This spot offers live music, we enjoyed a guitarist play during the course of our stay here.We ordered the alligator fritters as our appetizer and catfish poh boy with a burger that had all kinds of galore in it.The food was fantastic, very delicious. The alligator fritters was phenomenal. It's rare to find a bar/restaurant to offer alligator in this area as there aren't any alligators or crocodiles nearby. It was well cooked, not dry. The dish presentation was cute.The meal was very filling as the burgers came with fries or side salad. The poh boy came with the same option, but my mom ordered salad. The food portions were perfect.The spot also offers a wide selection of alcohol, including many choices of craft beer. I highly recommend coming here to have a good time. It's very causal.“

Skilled bartenders pouring great drinks (rocket fuels with the actual correct ingredients, unlike other establishments on the island!) Fun environment with live music on the weekend. The space is super roomy, industrial yet comfortable, with plants everywhere, video games, darts, fooseball and other activities. Staff is quirky and fun - we usually go to visit Ashley on Wednesdays and it’s always a great time. There’s often a killer food truck parked outside, and we always make it a point to attend Sundaze at the brewery, the last Sunday of every month - such an awesome weed-friendly event. Don’t sleep on this place - the down-to-earth atmosphere and delicious brews will keep you coming back for more.And to the male Karen (would that be a Chad?) whining about them closing for private events down below - grow up. Dani, the events coordinator was outstanding, efficient and always quick to answer any questions. Our gathering of 70 people in their party room with golf simulators, a pool table and darts, was such a fun vibe to our special day. Members of the team; Cole, James & Debbie, went above & beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying drinks and food was nicely served. The service was outstanding, food was delicious and a great variety of drink options. I highly recommend great South Bay brewery, especially if you are looking for a fun & relaxed atmosphere for an event.“

“It's wonderful that you can finally make reservations here. Never could understand why a restaurant would want to be “surprised” by the demands. Thankfully, they are now well staffed by a very good team working together to get it done. Food is good. Our ceviche appetizer was excellent. Plenty for two, would be good for four as an app. My wife had the halibut special for entree, it was perfectly fine and nicely paired with a corn salad, roasted baby potatoes and asparagus. I went for Tapas. The lamb chops are always delicious. I added some tuna tacos and empanadas. Tuna is spot on delicious. The empanadas were okay, dipping sauce was over spiced/hot and they lacked that home/hand made texture and taste. Probably great hangover food though. Will absolutely be back. The views can't be beat and the service is first class.“

“This pizzeria restaurant has delicious pies. Marconys has a nice restaurant side. The food is delicious. The owner is from Italy. We’ve been getting our pizza here and decided to cater a few dishes. Let me say , I am extremely picky with eggplant parmigiana. I usually make time consuming dish but I did not have the time. Marcony’s eggplant parm was the best ever. My kids keep raving about it. We also had the chicken franchise that was tender and delicious! We will be ordering here again very soon.“
