I had another round to just listen to the singer and the musicians. So much the laid back scene of the real Grateful dead. The drinks are delicious, the prices are reasonable, and it’s just a stones throw to a beautiful beach. The bartender went out of his way to help me find beach chairs as well. “On the advice of a friend who regularly visits Fire Island, our family of eight, including a four-year-old and an infant, had an amazing dinner experience at Albatross tonight. I was somewhat apprehensive because the restaurant's Google rating was lower than that of another restaurant where we had had a disappointing lunch the first day of our stay. So I wanted to write my five-star review as soon as possible.

Our positive experience began when we dropped by during the afternoon to get the hostess's advice on how to procure a table for eight people -- without a reservation! -- on a busy Saturday night. She told us that if we came before 6:00 they would probably be able to accommodate us.

This is exactly what happened. When we arrived we were immediately seated at a comfortable table near the window. The attentive waitstaff quickly took our drink orders and, shortly thereafter, our meal orders.

I was worried that our small children might become difficult while we ate two courses (starters and a main course). However, our server brought our starters quickly, and the main course soon after clearing our dishes from the first course. The timing was perfect!

The food was perfect, too. I enjoyed my New England clam chowder, one of the best versions I've tasted. The table shared top-notch oysters, steamers, fried calamari, and Buffalo wings. Our mains, which included grilled fish, linguine with white clam sauce, and penne with vodka source and grilled shrimp, were uniformly excellent, with quality ingredients and preparation. For example, the grilled broccoli that accompanied my barramundi was so flavorful that it transcended the norm for this standard vegetable.

With our meal we enjoyed a bottle of white wine at a fair price.

This review may sound too favorable to be true, but it accurately describes our experience. I recommend Albatross wholeheartedly.“

And here is a secret...It was affordable. The food was incredible and plentiful. Great Chefs. Another secret...add the raw oyster station. We went with 100% out of doors and it was spectacular. Fits 100 easily. Places for shade and sun and a great gazebo for the ceremony. We can't recommend it more. We did our wedding but this could have been a 50th birthday just as easily. Another secret is bring your own acoustic player for the music. We had a friend play and it really set the mood for the day. So, The View in Oakdale is a perfect spot to start a life together, party for someone reaching a milestone or hell, just a great happy hour with friends on the water.“

“Last night we (2 couples) went to Ruth Chris Steak House in Lake Grove, NY for dinner and had the best dinning experience we have had in awhile. It is now our favorite steak restaurant. The food is outstanding, compliments to the chief!! Also, I would like to comment on our waitress, Kim, who is terrific!!! She was so attentive to all our requests, took care of us all night. Also, the manager is a real gentleman, and he also made us feel comfortable and special. Without a doubt, this is the best steak restaurant on the Island, we have been to most of the upscale restaurants here and we rate this the best. “Had the pleasure of eating at the Greenport location. Two of my HS girlfriends and myself on moderately busy on Sunday (1012/24) at about 5:30. A young waiter named Brian was our server. We first ordered drinks, mine was the margarita with the pomegranate swirl. So delicious!! Refreshing and frosty! We shared the Mexican Street corn and the three dips with chips, which were freshly made. So fabulous! So tasty. The salsa, guacamole and queso were just perfect, each different but delicious!! The corn was sweet and flavorful. I had three tacos in hard shells. Fried chicken, fried shrimp and the marinated steak. Each one was different and very fresh. My one friend, is a vegetarian and the other is gluten intolerant BUT! They each found many yummy choices! I’ve been trying to get to this restaurant for several years, and finally the planets aligned! Brian was well trained, patient and informative with a good humor. The interior is bright, festive and clean. So much food, I could not finish all of it. And!! the restroom was clean! You should be very proud of this business! We will be back! Thank you!!“

“My 9 year old had decompression and a duraplasty surgery at the beginning of the month. When we were discharged from PEDS ICU, claws was the first meal he requested. “Trio Restaurant at the Holbrook Country Club is an outstanding venue. It’s primarily an event hall rather than a typical sit-down restaurant, and they really do a fantastic job hosting gatherings and celebrations.
Everyone is treated like royalty from the moment they walk in. The service is excellent, the food is great, and the hospitality is even better. The staff is friendly, helpful, and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
The place is very clean and well maintained, with easy access and plenty of parking available, which makes attending events there very convenient. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for special occasions.
They also host private events, so if you’re planning a party, celebration, or gathering, this is definitely a place worth contacting.

I've gotten salads from the Pop salad section and i just tried a quesadilla with steak (omg soooo good, the steak is soft and juicy and seasoned just right). the salad is always fresh and tasty and the portions are big!! My quesadilla meal was about 13.50 without the drink but i have leftovers and I always have half a salad left so it's like 2 meals for 10-15 dollars...so worth it. “A few months ago my daughter passed away. I had family coming in from 4 different states. We needed a place we could all meet and have dinner. We called Nesconset Pizza&Pasta to see if we could use their back room. They said yes and set up the room for us on short notice. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. All my relatives from out of town were very pleased. The staff was kind and compassionate and did not rush us. I have had dinner many times before and after that night and they are always attentive and accommodating. This is a really great place to dine out!“
