“We love dining at Asagao Sushi. The food is excellent. The fish is fresh, you have a choice of either sushi or ramen, and the presentation of the food makes it hard to dig in cause it is so beautiful. The service is professional and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Tonight we had a sashimi platter it contained 9 different fish! Each better than the next. And Chef Park and his amazing team shows great hospitality, they greet you on your way in and thank you for visiting them on the way out. You always feel welcome and appreciated.“
“I found this wonderful place because of my co-workers.. I’ve never had Shrimp tempura before and now I am HOOKKEDDDD.. I work in Mount Kisco and I live in Carmel and I drive alllll the way down here just for their sushi .. the atmosphere is so peaceful and inviting and tranquil.. the food is fresh.. the crunch just crunches if you catch my drift.. I’m currently drinking a dirty martini and eating shrimp tempura with extra crunch crust and their signature mango sauce and listen I ordered 2 because I’m taking this home.. if you’re in the area and haven’t come out here yet you’re missing out“
“Nice mellow atmosphere, excellent polite service, had a hankering for so I stopped in and had shrimp Ramen. In a miso type broth, very flavorful, plenty of shrimp and surimi type stuff. Egg was just poached in the broth. They gave me a free appetizer of , I think, white fish tempura which was amazing, great sauce on it. Would go back again, probably would not get the ramen, though good, I have had better.“
“We had the soup dumplings with the sushi entre combo. 3 and a baby. We spent 95 not including tip.Food was delicious, portions were filling, they had high chairs and plenty of spaceParking: Plenty of parking and a lot nearbyKid-friendliness: Family restaurant“
“Had omakase for my birthday with my wife recently and I was can 1000% say it was the best meal I have ever eaten in my 44 years. I spent 25 years in high end seafood, (wholesale, retail, private chef, and catering) and was blown away by the quality of the fish! The chef was masterful as he balanced every single course (in had the 16) to perfection. He was incredibly skilled and a wonderful artist. The selection of fish from Japan was amazing. He explained every course as he served us. This place is a gem. I have eaten at just about every single sushi restaurant around and on see no reason to go anywhere else anymore. The place is clean and beautiful, the owner and staff were friendly and very interactive. The preparation and care that went into everyone was second to none. If you enjoy the finest sushi, please don't hesitate and go! And the only way to go is omakase“
“I absolutely LOVE the food here. It’s immensely Fresh and the chef and staff really take their time and prepare a great experience. It’s hands down the best Japanese food in All of rockland county . Everything is very reasonably priced as well. Love this place !“
“Authentic Japanese grilled meats!! Very tasty with their different cuts and the meats come with juicy tenderness. The flame is what makes the extra grill taste to the meats! Desserts like the s'mores roasting over open flame is just so much fun with kids! Highly recommend this Japanese Grill! The service was superb with their staffs! Ambiance is great too with the seating arrangements.“
“Everything was delicious, we ordered Sushi and Hibachi, very nice show although at the time of the show and distributing the food the person who performs the show is a little careless because the food falls on all sides of the table but I suppose it is part of the show. The attention was very good always attentive to our needs. I liked the detail with the presentation of the sushi in addition to the very fresh flavor.“
“Lower the Sinatra music, Mike, play Kitaro instead! Also, pls add sukiyaki to the kitchen dishes. There is only one place in Hartsdale that offers a mediocre version, sadly...Food here is great, so is service. Any of the maki rolls, nigiri, etc., can't go wrong. The fish tank alone is worth the visit!“
“What a gem, the kind of place you can't not come back to. The menu is expansive (plenty of items for vegetarians), the drinks are tasty, and the service is great.Kudos to our waiter Max!Order for two: brussel sprouts, mozzarella donut, limone pizza, twisted ice tea, and blackberry smash.“
“I've driven past this unassuming place hundreds of times and I've been dying to try it and I FINALLY DID! I was pleasantly surprised at how fantastic everything was, including the service--and they even gave us a sushi roll on the house. Thank you! I wanted to try something different so we ordered a Hudson roll that comes without rice and it was too good. One of the best. Also ordered a roll that had bulgogi beef on-top, wow so savory and delicious. I think it was called the Hinode something...I know that's not very helpful--and it seemed like they were trying it out on the menu because they asked how we liked it. We loved it. The place is cute and small, service is speedy and you can see the chefs preparing the rolls. I think this sushi spot sets itself apart from the rest and has its own unique twist that I appreciate. I am coming back here for sure.“
“Best sushi in White Plains by a good bit.Service in-house is also excellent and it’s very affordable for the quality of the food. Genuinely surprised there isn’t a line to get in this place, everything I’ve ever had has been fantastic.“
“I ordered lunch takeout and it was great! The Chirashi Regular has a wide variety of fish and came pretty much exactly as described in the menu picture. The sushi rice is good and had a little bit of roasted sesame seeds on it. I really liked the saba. The katsu don in the second picture!“
“I went to Tappan Sushi with my husband for lunch who is from Uruguay. He was not into korean, japanese type food but that changed it all when we first came here. I am korean and i need to have my korean food and japanese sushi, sashimi!!!Always great food and service is great. This is our 5th or 6th visit. There are 2 very attentive and friendly waitresses and they are always working. Super great people. Also the sushi chef, the same sushi chef when i go there always greets us when we come in. That is how it should be, greeting customers in a friendly manner. One big thumbs up, the food comes right away, that is the way all restaurants should be. Plus, extremely fresh fish and all the foods i have tried. Cant say enough good things about this restaurant. The Restroom is super clean, smells like fresh Clorox which means they clean it daily. The owner, i think is korean have the best staff and chef.Thank you Tappan Sushi!See you again soon!“
“What is this place doing in Tarrytown?! It's great food with a fun menu and atmosphere. I tried the umami bomb with the uni and the fish was all super fresh and delicious. Table also got gyoza and the dirty avocado - both which were great. Really good service and good music. Plus BYOB which is the best.“
“First time here and definitely not the last! Met my nephew here, it's his favorite place and I see why. Food was absolutely sumptuous; tempura appetizer was crisp and light, sushi and sushi rolls were delectable, chicken teriyaki was served on a sizzling cast iron mini skillet with hijiki (black seaweed for those who don't know) and simply dazzling. Service was impeccable; food was served promptly, water and tea were kept filled without having to ask, requests (extra pickled ginger) were addressed expediently. This place rivals anything in Manhattan and far surpasses anything of its kind up here. No parking lot but I took a chance and parked in the Key Food shopping center across the street; my nephew parked on the street and had no issue with metered parking. Yes the staff is Chinese, not Japanese, but so what? Aren't all the cooks and servers in Italian restaurants Latino? Get over it, for that dude who complained that it's a Japanese restaurant run by Chinese people. All that matters is that THE PEOPLE performed beyond expectation and delivered brilliantly.“
“I love this place. I’ve gotten take out here every few weeks for many, many years, and every time it’s wonderful. The people working there, especially the woman who has run the counter and I think has managed the place for all the years it’s been open, are fabulous. Times when I get sushi it’s always good, fresh, nice, basically as it should be. Lots of rolls, all of them tight and clean (I like the California roll because I’m basic and I seriously love imitation crab, no joke). But mostly I like “kitchen food,” like the gyoza, the rock shrimp tempura (just those two with white rice is enough for me). The black bean salmon is really good too. I’m so glad they’re still here in DF.“
“I absolutely love this sushi restaurant! Every time I order takeout, it's a delightful experience. My favorites are the takoyaki and shrimp tempura – they're always perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. The sashimi here is hands down the best I've ever had. It's always fresh and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys top-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine. A must-visit!“
“One of the only places around that is Asian food with a nice atmosphere. The dumplings were especially delicious, and the salad and miso soup were especially good. Then the bento box is always fun. The only negative was that the teriyaki chicken could have a little more char on it.“
“Each dish was packed with flavor and genuinely impressed me! Lots of creative touches like the creamy mushroom sauce on the gyozas, wasabi masago served with the ceviche, and the blueberry compote in the fried banana dessert. The tuna avo roll while simple hit the spot (rice still warm + perfect tempura crunch) and the duck paired with mashed potatoes was fire. Lots of unique takes on Japanese classics - memorable meal with no complaints!“
“Very fresh and good amount serving?Friendly service , only I wish the Japanese name of the foods were available on the menu as well.Other than that , will visit again for sure !Had bento meal and they recommended sushi , all very fresh and well cut fish.“
“I came here during the weekday for lunch. I chose the 3 roll maki lunch special ($14.99)l. They also have 2 roll for $11.99 the Lunch special's included miso soup and salad with that yummy dressing. All very good! There was a table with about 6 people seated just before me. I was afraid it would take to long to get my order but I got it a fairly quickly. I had enough time within the hour lunch break to casually eat my lunch and make it back to work. Service was quick and attentive. Lunch prices are fair and most importantly food was very good! This review is for the sushi only. Interior was a little dark at first, but nicely decorated, but it was a very hot day and the ac was blasting which was very welcomed. There's a flat screen tv on.I would come back again; lunch menu has many choices to choose from. Recommended!“
“Yoma Yama has consistently great sushi. My boyfriend and I love coming here. We’ve tried mostly everything on the menu and it’s always delicious. Great atmosphere and service. Their spicy Mayo is the best I’ve ever had. It’s the perfect level of spice and the consistency is thick which I like.“
“I am so pleased to find an authentic Japanese restaurant so close to my home. Those farther away on Oak St and Norwood have come down in quality over time. I always sit at the bar, and the chef-owner is so pleasant to talk to. Very reasonable prices and a great variety of dishes. I advise you against Eat all you want buffet since the fish is not fresh ... very disappointing. I order a different dish every time to order their entire panoply of menu. Service from waiter/waitress is warm and good. I highly recommend Hikaru Sushi.“
“We decided to try a new Japanese place. We walked into a basically empty place at 5pm Friday evening. The service was OK but a bit slow. The food was good and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was ok. Not the best looking place. The menu options did confuse me as they had alot of Chinese food on it. They were very busy with take out so maybe that's the way to go.“
“Always drove by it and saw advertising in our local Clipper but never jumped in until a few days ago. Three Asians cuisine, Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Had dinner with my family, my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice, my wife had Mei fun noodles while I ordered the yellow curry tofu. We all also shared sushi rolls, sashimi and hand rolled sushi. My curry dish was amazing just as good as if I had it at a Thai only restaurant. My daughter said the best fried rice she’s had and the same with my wife’s noodle dish. Plenty of different dishes to choose from specially if your family can agree on a cuisine. The service was great and attentive and the atmosphere was nice and mellow.Vegetarian options: Tofu or just veggies can be substituted.“
“Sakura in Rockland, NY has never missed since I started going here years ago! The sushi is always very fresh and melt in your mouth - they have sake, wine, great appetizers and a revolving specials menu that always satisfies. What I ordered: - Good 4 You Roll - Salmon and tuna nigiri - Strawberry Japanese Soda RATINGS Food - 9 Ambiance - 8.5 Service - 9 Service - 9“
“While I had to go shopping for some items while in downtown White Plains, NY, I found myself hungry, and just happened to see the restaurant Asian Legend. Since there were so many people in line for the food, it made it seem enticing for me and curious to why so many people are lined up for food in there.“
“Hirame Sushi is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Yorktown. As a locally family-owned business, they not only serve top-quality sushi but also support the community by employing local students. Every time I walk in, I am greeted by name and the staff knows my order by heart, making me feel like a valued customer. I highly recommend trying the Dragon Ball and Passion Roll - they are absolutely delicious and always leave me wanting more. The freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every dish really sets Hirame Sushi apart from other sushi restaurants in the area. If you're looking for a great dining experience with amazing sushi, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further than Hirame Sushi. You won't be disappointed!“
“Ended up here for dinner because my daughter really wanted ramen. We had the Kara-age chicken (my choice) and edamame (her choice) to start with, both were decent. We both tried a different ramen, I had a spicy one from the specials menu which I enjoyed, it was really good. They have a kids menu with affordable choices but of course my kid didn’t want anything from there and she only ate half her ramen and didn’t care for the pork belly or really most of the toppings. We finished off our meal with the mango pudding which I thought was amazing. I thought it was definitely kid friendly, lots of families with kids dining the day I went. Service was ok, a bit on the slower side but I guess they were a bit busy. Overall I thought it was pretty pricey and not 100% worth it which means next time I would look for a different ramen spot in the area to explore.“
“Ah. . . Kiku Sushi is an intimate restaurant with superb sushi. My husband and I have now been twice and we absolutely love it. The owners are super friendly and the service is impeccable. We love their menu. Can't wait to go again soon.“
“We love Koku! Best sushi for us in northern Westchester. It's so fresh and flavorful, haven't had a bad meal ever. The ambience is great and the servers are quick and reliable- some are super friendly and great and others not so much.“
“Over the last 20 years or so, there have been several restaurants that leased this location. A few pizza places, and now Exit 4. Although Exit 4 has tons and tons of food options, I find it wildly overpriced for what it is. There is always a long wait for food, and I just don't think the price is justified for a food hall. Despite that, the food is pretty good, and it's good for groups (if you're willing to wait and possibly all eat at different times because everyone's food will likely arrive at different points). Since groups of people tend to have different taste buds and preferences, a food hall like this is an excellent choice, as each person can get whatever type of food they want. The sushi, for example, is really fresh and a yummy option. All in all, not my first choice when I am looking for food in town, but not the last, either.“
“Samurai offers delicately styled sashimi at responsible price. They have some of the best sushi in Westchester that I have tasted. The wait staff is attentive. Not willing and wanting to travel to NYC, Samurai is a fine alternative and you will not be disappointed.“
“Authentic Japanese cuisine at the highest level of execution. The omakase is an amazing journey through exquisite dishes. The quality of the fish selection is outstanding and the preparations are excellent! Sazan is owner operated and the service is respectful.“
“I swear by the lunch special. I have been going to Kira Sushi for many many years and the lunch special has been a go to. 2 or 3 rolls with miso soup and in this case edamame. The lunch special at Kira Sushi has a special place in my heart. I also did a charity event years ago and Kira was nice enough to donate a tray of sushi. A nice place. Thank you!“
“Sushi Thai is my favorite restaurant in this Westchester area. There's a wide variety, and all are delicious. I especially like the spring rolls, seaweed salad and special rolls. My favorites are the Tiger Roll and Pink Lady Roll. I can't understand why this restaurant is not more popular. Perhaps because the ambience is not cozy -- but that means I can always find a table.“
“This site is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a proper supper, this place comes right away to my head. extremely good and varied food and a rich menu.well mannered crew, and great spirit. Also, the bill is reasonable. I tell about this spot with no doubt.“
