“We had a Mothers Day celebration Sunday at this fabulous seafood restaurant. There were 15 of us- 9 adults and six children between 5 and 12. We traveled an hour to get there. The food was delicious- fresh, tasty and the portions were so large that everyone took a doggy bag home. It was served by a great staff including Angel who was our server. The owner, Donna, was very cordial and friendly. Everyone had a great time. We can't wait for our next family dinner to return. This is a must restaurant if you are a seafood lover!!“

“On the advice of a friend who regularly visits Fire Island, our family of eight, including a four-year-old and an infant, had an amazing dinner experience at Albatross tonight. I was somewhat apprehensive because the restaurant's Google rating was lower than that of another restaurant where we had had a disappointing lunch the first day of our stay. So I wanted to write my five-star review as soon as possible.

Our positive experience began when we dropped by during the afternoon to get the hostess's advice on how to procure a table for eight people -- without a reservation! -- on a busy Saturday night. She told us that if we came before 6:00 they would probably be able to accommodate us.

This is exactly what happened. When we arrived we were immediately seated at a comfortable table near the window. The attentive waitstaff quickly took our drink orders and, shortly thereafter, our meal orders.

I was worried that our small children might become difficult while we ate two courses (starters and a main course). However, our server brought our starters quickly, and the main course soon after clearing our dishes from the first course. The timing was perfect!

The food was perfect, too. I enjoyed my New England clam chowder, one of the best versions I've tasted. The table shared top-notch oysters, steamers, fried calamari, and Buffalo wings. Our mains, which included grilled fish, linguine with white clam sauce, and penne with vodka source and grilled shrimp, were uniformly excellent, with quality ingredients and preparation. For example, the grilled broccoli that accompanied my barramundi was so flavorful that it transcended the norm for this standard vegetable.

With our meal we enjoyed a bottle of white wine at a fair price.

This review may sound too favorable to be true, but it accurately describes our experience. I recommend Albatross wholeheartedly.“

“The food was soooo delicious. My husband I were cwlebrating our 6th Anniversary and had a WeekDay Luncheon Date. Totally Superb down to the very last drop. We ate every buttery morsel. We each had the Grilled Salmon, Lobster and Shrimp Trio with Mashed potatoes loaded with Lobster Sauce on top and a side of their broccolli which was insanely delicious!!! “My boyfriend and I dined this past Saturday at Tellers to celebrate his birthday. We made a reservation ahead of time and because of this we were seated immediately upon arrival at a cute corner table inside of the Gold Bar section. Although it was a bit crowded at the bar thankfully the noise level wasn't too bad. Our server Robert was amazing from the beginning and made the experience that much better! The food was absolutely delicious!! We both got filets that were cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were so creamy and smooth and the five cheese Mac was my favorite for sure, it was so flavorful and luscious. I believe it was one of the managers that checked in on us mid meal and made sure everything was to our liking, which it was beyond our expectations. Robert made sure our glasses were always full and that we had such a great time! 10/10 will be returning to dine again soon!!“

“Last night we (2 couples) went to Ruth Chris Steak House in Lake Grove, NY for dinner and had the best dinning experience we have had in awhile. It is now our favorite steak restaurant. The food is outstanding, compliments to the chief!! Also, I would like to comment on our waitress, Kim, who is terrific!!! She was so attentive to all our requests, took care of us all night. Also, the manager is a real gentleman, and he also made us feel comfortable and special. Without a doubt, this is the best steak restaurant on the Island, we have been to most of the upscale restaurants here and we rate this the best. If you want terrific food, great service, and a delightful ambiance, try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed!!!“

“I’ve been coming here with my family for the past 3 years. We grab a bite here with a few drinks after a day at the beach. There’s live music and good food. My first few visits I had the same server named Annie! Now I request her every time. I come in with a party over 8 every time and she’s always on point! Annie is great and I hope to continue coming here and having her as my server. She provides amazing service every single time and never is rude. Definitely recommend tiki joes as a place for families.“
