“Being in a train station (and a very busy train station) one would not expect a great bar experience - well atleast I wasn’t but I was wrong. A colleague and I were in NYC for a board meeting, and it wrapped up early. She said let’s stop at Irish Exit for a drink and well we did. Once you walk out the “station”, it’s like walking into a true Irish bar (albeit busier). Amazing selection of beer, wine and the hard stuff. Good service, free Wi-Fi and most things can be done via QR code. Will definitely visit next time I’m at Penn.“

“If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Was here back in November, we popped in as we seen it while we were walking past. We ended up coming back 2 or 3 more times as we loved it. The chicken wings are some of the best we’ve ever had and as Irish people we can confidently say the Guinness is some of the best in NYC. Staff and service is exceptional. “This is a great bar. I visited on Sat 28 September whilst on vacation from Liverpool (UK), to watch my team Liverpool FC play Wolves. Within the first five minutes I knew that I was going to have a good experience, when I heard the barman talking to a couple of locals, reminiscing about the drunken night before that they had enjoyed together in the bar. There was a good atmosphere here, and the Guinness was good too. After the match I got talking to a couple of friendly local lads who tried to buy me a drink and asked me to have a shot with them. They also tried to persuade me to move on with them for food but I had already eaten. Top fellas. I am going to try and get back here when I am next in New York.“

“I was in the city this weekend for a conference and happened to drop into Playwright Irish Pub on 35th street on Friday night. Conor and the Playwright team were all outstanding hosts. “Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers.
