“Can accommodate groups of All sizes … Grill master is off the chain … Cheeseburger on a pretzel bun are so so delicious … staff is joyful and friendly while the beer selection is one of a kind. Then to all the Players … the music room is wood-based with a vented ceiling both allowing super warmness and absorption for you band’s lower-registered folk and volume-headroom for your scream & shout folk and everything else … what’s not to love … Rock on Radegast !!!!!“
“I have been for my dad’s birthday on several occasions, but today I had a small Bark Day party for my puppy. The outdoor seating with heat lamps were pawfect for us! Anywhere with dog friendly seating is a must re-visit. Also the food is delicious!“
“Great place to while away a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. We took our three kids and they were very welcome (might be a different vibe on a Saturday). Good food and fabulous beer.Vegetarian options: A veggie sausage!Kid-friendliness: Our kids sat and played a quiet game of cards with us and there were other families with kids there too.“
“We are visiting from NC and wanted German food. We were staying in Manhattan and took the subway here and was not disappointed. The owner waited on us. She was amazing and hustling. The food was soo good. Happy customers and we will be back to visit. Thanks again!“
“Significantly better than the first time I tried this chain at another location. The rice was a little al dente for my taste, but the meat was seasoned well and it definitely did the trick. They understood when I asked them to be careful about cross-contamination because I have celiac and need to make sure my food is gluten-free, but they didn’t seem very happy about it!Dietary restrictions: GF options marked but staff aren’t very reassuring, and bread is present in the kitchen“
“Never been to German restaurant but really liked this place. I tried the cod fish sandwich and lemonade and really enjoyed it. My family members ordered the beer and wouldn't stop drinking it. They liked the chicken and waffles- they said the waffles were soft and meat was juicy. Hardly like chocolate but decided to try it since they were out of the apple strudel. It was creamy and not as sweet as other cakes. Definitely enjoyed the lovely dessert. Will come back again!“
“This was the best chicken döner I've ever had. The slaw, chicken, turkish pita, everything was perfect. The bread tasted fresh, the slaw was refreshing, the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The feta added the salty, the sauces added depth. I wish there was this place in Florida because I will crave this until I can get one in Turkey (married into a turkish family).“
“Our go-to spot whenever we are in this part of Brooklyn. Their currywurst on a pretzel bun is a must. They have great outdoor seating when the weather is nice and their beer list is the best. Love coming here on a date or with friends. Great spot!“
“We had a surprise birthday party for my husband on 4/14/24 with over 30 people (many of which were kids and one adult with a wheelchair). The staff was wonderful, the food was amazing and everyone had a great time. This restaurant has been part of my husband's family for many years so it made us so happy to see that the vibe, traditions and quality of food are still being upheld. So thankful to Zum Stammtisch for a great place to gather - it was so smooth and without any stress (except for surprising my husband!).“
“Came with friends and the fast flickering light was bothering my epilepsy so I asked my waitress Aleksandra if I could sit outside. She was wonderful bringing me beers and serving both friends inside and me outside. She went above and beyond. Great service. Great beer. Loved the atmosphere (sad I couldn’t handle the lights). The outdoor tent was great for people watching. Just a lovely experience all around.“
“Tasty Austrian/German food, awesome and friendly staff, and atmosphere.Recommendations:- Austrian Meatballs $25~- Reuben $25~Reuben was well toasted, cheesey, and meaty, served with ranch. The meatballs were excellent for meatball/meatloaf lovers, root veggies were cooked tender and sweet. Looking forward to coming back and trying out the other dishes. We sat at the bar and chatted with some of the staff, and it was clear the staff were enjoying their work and creating a neighborhood spot.“
“Went there on a chilly rainy dull weekday night and oh boy did the place lift up my mood! ? A large beer selection (plus ciders and wines) at a great price and hearty German food. My husband and I had a big appetite and ordered a giant pretzel with cheese, 3 different bratwursts with sauerkraut, purple cabbage and a side of potato salad. By the end of our sumptuous meal we were so full that we almost had to be rolled out. All staff were very kind and professional and gave us excellent recommendations. I would go back just for their hofbrau original and classic brat (and well, yes their potato salad too).“
““German Doner Kebab offers a delightful fusion of traditional flavors with a modern twist. The succulent meats, wrapped in warm, fluffy bread, are a true delight for the taste buds. Each bite bursts with a harmonious blend of spices and textures, leaving you craving more. The generous portions and friendly service make it a top choice for a quick and satisfying meal. Whether you’re a kebab connoisseur or new to the cuisine, German Doner Kebab is sure to leave a lasting impression.”The restaurant designed well. Döner was tasty but not like the classical Turkish döner or not like the Turkish döner in Germany. It was so spicy. It tasted like Indian food but it was tasty. Tastes good really but it's not like döner. It's something else but they call it German döner. Instead of that it was good experience to be there. I think I will go there again to taste the others. I tried chicken, the original chicken. It's name is the original. It was really good. One portion was not enough for me. If they will have one and a half it would be great but they don't have. You can just get one or two but two is more for me.“The restaurant’s design is appealing and sets a welcoming atmosphere. However, while the Döner was tasty, it diverged from the classical Turkish or German Döner, leaning towards spicier Indian flavors. Despite the deviation, the food was enjoyable, offering a unique twist on the traditional dish. I particularly savored ‘The Original Chicken,’ which lived up to its name with its flavorful taste. Portion sizes were generous, although an option between one and a half portions would be appreciated for those with bigger appetites. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I look forward to returning to sample more of their offerings.”“
“Gottscheer Hall is a fixture of Ridgewood and has been for decades. It does an excellent job at bridging the gap between the old neighborhood and the infusion of the new crowd in a way in which everyone feels welcome. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and their selection of German beer pretty much guarantees something for everyone. The bartenders are also the best in the area, friendly, personable and great to chat with while sipping on a cold one. I've made many memories and friends in that place from all walks of life. I recommend it to everyone. Easy 5 stars. Check it out!“
“Döner House feels like a hug in food form. Warm, comforting, and exactly what you need on a rough day lolAffordable yet so tasty! The bread is go good! Like insanely goodyo the sauce is so spicy. It's SO SPICY! love it.Awesome staff, great food. Kebabs there are legit the closest you can get to being in GermanyEach visit to doner haus is like a mini trip to Germany. just like when I was stationed there. same authentic flavors without the flight .Kid-friendliness: Döner House feels like a hug in food form. “I love potato pancakes and was expecting a pancake size order. They were smaller appetizer sizes. I went just for the pancakes and ended up with a fish sandwich in a German Restaurant. It was good, but I felt my choices were either sandwiches or large meals at 2pm.. I'll go back to try something else..Wheelchair accessibility: I'll disabled and didn't need a wheelchair but it's Street level. Parking is on the street as well.“
“Ambience good.Food was okay so far.You got full but nothing more. The schnitzel tasted pretty good, but the sauce didn't taste goodRed cabbage tasted very strange and disgusting.Cucumber salad was good though.Service leaves a lot to be desired. The music was really bad.Service doesn't speak German.Radler mixed with Fanta instead of Sprite.“
“This place has a lot of place inside to sit and also has an outdoor place as well.Overall good atmosphere and party vibe, good to hang out with friends. They can do better with bar and kitchen orders where you have a stand in 2 long queues to order food and drinks“
“My friend says he's been here like 4x in the last year and I can see why. The pork shank is a work of art. With its crispy skin, juicy, meaty, and fatty interior, it checks all the boxes. It was a really awesome dish to share with others. The sausages that accompanied were quite tasty dipped in their house mustards. I also greatly enjoyed their cabbage and kraut. We also ordered the Jager schnitzel with perfectly cooked spatzle on the side. I'm not the biggest fan of cream sauces but the schnitzel was tasty and the saptzle well seasoned. Cozy restaurant with solid service and a great place to share meat with friends!“
“Went for Valentine's Day. Service was very great. Risotto was amazing! Great quiet spot with good spacing and room where people don't feel on top of you.Specialty drinks could have been better. Ordered my usual dark and stormy and .y date had the same and it was way better. So get your usual.“
“A must visit! This is my second time here. This place offers a great selection of traditional German beers in the “boots” or stein! The food here is very good. It’s also very traditional German food but they also offer some American options such as salmon and burgers. The ambience is comfortable and service is very great. Friendly staff!“
“Besides their wonderful restaurant, they have the German specialty store! Both bring a little bit of Germany to Queens. The butcher shop is spectacular and immaculate. There are so many choices! Whether you're stopping in because you came for dinner next door, or you are looking for some authentic German goodies. You won't go wrong.“
“At this lovely Austrian restaurant, I savored the classic Wiener Schnitzel paired with a side of flavorful potatoes and refreshing cucumber salad. The crispy, tender veal cutlet was a standout dish, perfectly complemented by the light and tangy salad. Additionally, the Viennese Beef Goulash served with fresh herbed Spatzle was a comforting delight, with the tender beef and rich, savory sauce creating a satisfying meal. The cozy atmosphere and old-world charm of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a delightful culinary journey through Austrian traditions. It was beautiful lunch and I highly recommend to everyone ?“
“Ordered crispy delicious potato pancakes and a tasty sausage platter. Bartender suggested a great beer I'd never heard of and it hit the spot. Conveniently located next to the movie theater.I'm getting hungry again just thinking about those potato pancakes.“
“i love this place! i live around the corner and often pop in for a quick drink or for food. the food is delicious (hello fries??) and the staff is friendly, they handle the double duty of bartending and serving attentively and kindly. can get busy on the weekends but always great vibes. great local spot!!“
“Second time to Bunny and was not disappointed. The food was even better than I remembered. A standout for me was the Garlicky Labne w/ Ras-El-Hanout carrots and chili butter. Was served with homemade, fresh out of the oven bread in a paper bag. Done right.I will say that it was a bit disappointing to only have water to drink (no non-alcoholic beverages.) Feel like I missed out on a part of the experience drinking just water.Overall, a delicious spot for a satisfying meal. Cash or Venmo only.“
