“Visiting from New Orleans and a friend took us here. I didn’t expect much from a soul food restaurant, since I am a southern girl and good cook I am told, BUT I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! The JD turkey wings, Mac & Cheese, Cabbage and yams!! And don’t forget the potato salad. We LOVED EVERYTHING. The entire staff was friendly and professional. We will be back. It was five of us and we had the rib, chicken, turkey wings, …All cooked to perfection!“

“This is one serious gem of a place, they literally cook and provide real proper nutritional food with decent prices, this isn’t one of those chain restaurants that chase profit share margins instead of healthy food, the lady who took my order was super sweet helpful and wholesome as well. Food tastes fresh and delicious, i am not sure how they are not more busy.

“I ordered a deep fried turkey and lobster fried rice from Blossom’s and when I tell you there wasn’t anything left but bones and gristle. The turkey was seasoned and fried to perfection. The lobster fried rice was also a game changer!! You can’t go wrong ordering anything from their menu. I would like to thank Blossoms for making soul food great again. Last and certainly not least from the bartender to the entire staff was courteous, professional and respectful.“

The collard greens and Lima beans definitely stuck out as amazing because how many places have you actually been to that make perfectly seasoned southern vegetables in the city. THY BEsT I ever had especially the chicken, and I had pretty much all of them in the 2 visits! Lemon pepper hands down my favorite… I’ve never ordered lemon pepper and it actually taste like lemon pepper! They don’t disappoint at alllll I come from the queens side of Pitkin anyDAY for them. Amazing, generous portions (look at the size of the chicken), perfectly fried chicken, same for the fries, great and super friendly team, I really enjoyed my first meal in Brooklyn thanks to them ?
Their house sauce (which is actually a sort of spicy cocktail sauce) works particularly well with fries and chicken.

You have brought balm to our hearts!
With better dining comfort I would have given 5 stars for sure ? but for eating on the go it's more than enough ?

“So this hidden gem is AMAZING! I went with my family and I will never forget the hospitality. I had salmon and omg it was crispy on the outside and soft inside. It was the freshest salmon I tasted and was on a bed of rice so healthy and still tasty! I tasted a Turkish soda and it was fruity and the best combination of sweet and tangy The salmon SKIN was amazingly crispy! Yes the skin. This Turkish/Mediterranean place is a place I will forever go to and overlooked. The atmosphere of the place felt like me at home so laidback!“

“As soon you walk in you're greeted and asked if it's your 1st time. All to be given a sampler of greens, yams, wing and Mac and cheese. The crunch and flavor on the wing was everything. I ordered the whiting dinner with yams and tuna macaroni. Peach cobble and Big Tea fresh brewed. Would return to try more.“
