“I came here a friend and had 2 rolls (salmon and tuna), one sea urchin, and one wagyu single piece. All the food was incredible. Some of the best sushi I've had in my life. My friend had 2 vegetarian rolls, which both were delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that enjoys higher quality sushi, especially at lunch since they have some discounted rolls.“

“Shota is as close to dining in Tokyo as you may find in New York. An absolute dream experience with every detail perfectly tailored to your needs. We recently attended the 3 year anniversary of this Michelin star restaurant and could not have enjoyed a meal more. While it is definitely a bank breaker for most, this is one of New York’s most delicious restaurants accompanied by some of the finest service you’ll find in the city. If budget allows, always go with the sake pairing. It’s a game changer. Love the team here so very much. They treat you like family every visit.“

“A lot of good things about this place such as decor and our chef. Loved how he actually cares about each piece he makes and has such a pleasant mannerism (tho the overall vibe of the service was awkward and slightly cold in the beginning). We liked a lot of the pieces: quite fresh and diverse altho some of them taste Americanized and heavier (the truffle and the heavier sauce applied, for example). The service improved along the way tho. And the restroom can def be a bit more aligned with the decor outside.“

“I don't know if this sushi place uses the name Lin as in the other Sushi Lin places but the quality and service is completely different. It taste like a dime a dozen low cost sushi places. I expect to be a branch of the real Sushi Lin but according to my taste dubs it isn't. Servers were slow and not attentive. Plenty of cooks but not enough servers. Right kind of rice but not a single drop of vinegar. Costco had better quality fish. Only good thing there was the sake.“

“I have been to all three Daigo locations (City Point, 4th Ave, and this one) and they all are great with their consistent level of preparation and quality fish. This one is nice because it is the most “sit down” of the three, most of the seats are at the bar! Ha! Just like the standing-only location at Dekalb Market Hall (in City Point), you get served one hand roll at a time to ensure your rice is warm. I’ve only been here with as a party of three max so I don’t know for sure if you’d get one hand roll at a time if you can as a bigger party. Not pictured is the ebi handroll with a generous amount of raw baby sweet shrimp that is bursting with flavor. What I like about Daigos is that you can stop in for a delicious handrolls in a quick and casual setting.“

“Found a gem in the neighbourhood! Food was fantastic, everything was seasoned and cooked really well. We came for 545 dinner and the place had just opened so it was more on the quiet side but as we left people were strolling in. The decor and details of the place was stunning and on brand for a Japanese izakaya. Happy hour is great! Highly recommend grabbing a few apps from that menu. I didn't picture all the food we had but we ordered the addictive cabbage, spicy tuna on crispy rice, mochiko chicken karaage, waygu steak and miso glaze cod. Yuzu highball and sparkling wine.
5 ⭐for the food. We will def be back and recommend it for anyone looking for a decent priced, great quality izakaya experience!!

On the restaurant side, you can tell they prioritize friendliness, expedient service, and cleanliness. Is this the best sushi that I’ve ever had? No, but as good as it gets for their prices. Would I come back? 100% Dine in family and friends and go for a platter—great value! Or do takeout delivery, no brainer to compliment a Netflix chill kind of evening.“

We ordered karaage, hamachi crudo, a roll, shishito peppers, brussel sprouts, scallop ceviche, and the spicy salmon crispy rice. Everything hittt

Had some unfiltered sake and a cocktail.
And Mikey behind the bar was amazing, super attentive, made excellent recommendations, and took care of us the whole time. One of the best food and service experiences we’ve had in Brooklyn.

“I don't typically often order from silver rice because they're bit small in the portion side, they have unconventional food packaging containers and they're on the pricey side. However when it comes to the quality of the food they're worth it. I just had to Nagi rice cup and a seaweed salad I literally can't stop licking my chopsticks. It was so GOOD!. Even got better as you dug into the cup lol If you're looking for something different and on the lighter side that was just at the spot. So rice is a good option.“

“I had such a great experience at Ginza Sushi today, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about it. My boyfriend and I decided to go on a casual date, and it turned into one of those meals that just hits perfectly in every way—food, service, atmosphere, everything.

“If you want value and convenience for your sushi fix, J San Sushi is your place: Affordable prices and many options. They updated their price a wee bit lately and added 3 new party tray options. I usually get party trays, but have gotten their lunch deals as well. My to-go are salmon avocado rolls, eel avocado. Their tuna isn't good so I avoid them if I could.
