“They take res via Yelp, FYI! We did a walk in for a party of 2 at 3pm on a rainy day and it was pretty empty. I had to wait for my friend and was allowed to sit and wait for her at our table. Staff here is very attentive and friendly.
The Pho here is more so like Northern pho, with the fatter vermicelli noodles. I enjoyed my Beef Pho and the broth was good. I was asked if I wanted fresh noodles or not, which was a question I was never asked at other viet spots before. I requested fresh noodles, which were a bit softer in my broth. Their fresh noodles are made daily vs their other kind of noodles made a day before - idk how much of a difference it would've been toh.
We also got their Spring Rolls to share, which were standard. It also came with pickled radishes on the side, which were nice and crunchy.
Overall, a decent neighborhood spot with good, yummy options. I've tried other apps here before (Banh Xeo and Chicken Wings) and they were great as well. Would recommend to others for a comfortable meal.“

“Thanh Đa is a popular hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese spot for banh mi near 8 Av, Brooklyn. I read many negative reviews about the terrible attitude of the owner, skimpy toppings and how their prices have risen significantly. God knows how nervous I was when I walked into the shop lol.
Fortunately I didn’t have such poor experience when I went. I was very satisfied with what I got, and the owner and staff weren’t rude at all. Just keep in mind they no longer open dine-in area.
#1 House Special Banh Mi 清娜麵包
For the house special banh mi, they put together roasted pork, ham, cold cut, pickled carrots and radish and cucumber. The fillings weren’t overflowing, but it was sufficient and stuffed till the bottom of the bread roll. The baguette was toasted to a crusty finish on the outside, and a soft dough on the inside.
You can ask for jalapeno for extra spice (they forgot to add it to my banh mi tho). $8 for a banh mi is still reasonable to me in this economy, as I can split it into two meals.
Banh mi is made to order. It took around 10 mins even I was the only customer in store.
*Ca Phe Thanh Ða (Thanh Ða Coffee) 清娜咖啡
This Vietnamese coffee was so pleasant. Dark roasted and rich in caffeine as you can taste from the robust and bold flavor. I asked for less sugar and less ice, and it had the perfect level of sweetness. $5 for the iced coffee is slightly steep but I’ll still get this again.“

“Great Vietnamese spot in Fort Greene!
We stopped in for lunch around 2pm on a Sunday and there was plenty of space for walk-ins. It can be busy at night, especially on weekends, so going for lunch was perfect.
We ordered the crispy spring rolls, beef pho (which they split in two bowls for us) and the bahn mi sandwich. All were great and we left very full.
Service was very quick and just what we needed on a cold afternoon. Excited to come back to try other items!“

“Overall great place. Very simple, no frills, but the food is amazing. The Banh mis are thr best ive had and the pork, rice and salas is great as well.
My only wish is that they had some more vegeterian options since apart from the egg banh mi, there is nothing else. The other thing would be accepting card payments. But overall great food, service and prices.“

Can’t wait to come back!“

“Service can always be better but food is good and the prices are decent for what you do get. You guys could use some music in the store, I have been here 3-4 times and you guys never have any music to uplift the resturant or mood. Overall price is good for what you get, authentic Vietnamese food.“

“Recently opened, amazing pho, great atmosphere and even better service. Our waitress Erika was kind and efficient, she was able to provide great service to us. While there was great service there was also great food. From the pho to the thai tea it was fantastic. The cosy atmosphere only added to this experience. I would definitely recommend coming to this spot as it’s a great place to enjoy a meal with your friends.“

“First week it opened sat down and food was amazing. I’ve ordered a handful of times since and not as good, but not bad.
Please add option on uber eats to include sauce with Bah mi sandwiches. I have to call every time and tell them, not sure why it just doesn’t automatically come with sauce packets…“

“Bahn Mi is the best in the area. The bread is way better than 5ive Spice nearby. The shrimp spring roll was missing carrots and cucumbers, it was just noodles, greens, and shrimp. Left a lot to be desired, but the namesake item was very good and worth your time for sure. Definitely would recommend.“

“Very friendly staff, fast service, and a nice atmosphere. The fried kalamari was crunchy and not oily at all, the banh mi was amazing, and the pho was good but the taste of cilantro is a bit overpowering. The portion sizes were great. Definitely try this place!!“

“**Update** just had their beef pho and grilled pork roll. The pho was very much improved, broth had great flavor. I added the chicken to my beef pho and it was delicious as well! The grilled pork roll was fresh and had a great snap when you bit into it.
Plus, the food is made so quickly. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood.
Didn't want to give these guys a bad review as we live close by and want it to be great and stay open!
The service is awesome, they're very friendly. Prices are great. All that said, the broth had almost no flavor. Here's to hoping they can improve!“

“Been wanting to try this highly rated Banh Mi shop and finally had a chance to pick up a Mr. Banh Mi and a Vietnamese iced coffee to go. Gentleman handling our order was polite and friendly. Glad to see it’s a small locally owned family business. The banh mi was fresh and well prepared overall. The bread is made in house from my understanding which is impressive. In terms of texture and taste of the bread it’s about average and I’ve had better at a couple of other Brooklyn Banh Mi spots. The veggies are finely shredded which is different than other spots however I did find it lacking a bit of zest. The minced BBQ pork filling is a take from the OG Banh Mi spot that’s been around 40 years in Chinatown. Speaking about filling/cold cuts - it’s your usual except banh mi filling just a tad less amount wise compared to others. The traditional mayo and pate was definitely on the light side or lacking. On to the iced Vietnamese coffee pretty decent taste as some decent spots. Overall I give them kudos for baking their own bread and for prep/presentation but price is a factor comparing other banh mi spots in Asian areas as $13 for a banh mi in Bensonhurst vs $8 to $9.50 in Bensonhurst/Sunset Park/Bay Ridge is a tough bite to digest unless possibly yours is significantly better/bigger than the others. But I still wish their shop to prosper.“

“Got the Vegetarian Tofu Bahn Mi extra spicy. I asked them to make it vegan. Not sure if it already was/is though. They have a few vegetarian options that could probably be vegan upon request. The sandwich was pretty good and it was definitely spicy! 🤣“

“Extra big bowl hit the spot. Little bummed tripe was missing, but I was there right at opening, so maybe they just forgot. Vietnamese iced coffee is always reliable rocket fuel. Spring rolls were delicious and a good size.

“By my luck, I came across these creative bubble tea flavored cookies just when they were released recently! Their classic pork over rice and pho were also great but I highly recommend their soft and chewy cookies - I got it with a plain tea and that was a great choice“

“Tried Hanco’s for the first time today with my sister, and we were both really happy with it! We ordered takeout; my sister placed the order and I went to pick it up. The staff was super friendly and our food was ready really fast.
I got the classic banh mi, and my sister went for the grilled pork rice vermicelli bowl plus a honeydew bubble tea. The portions were really well-sized for the price, and my sister loved that they included a big portion of vinaigrette with her bowl.
Both of our meals tasted great. My banh mi was absolutely stuffed with filling, and the pate was super flavorful. My sister mentioned that the pork in her bowl was extra juicy, better than what she’s had at another spot in the neighborhood.
Even though we just grabbed takeout, I noticed the inside of Hanco’s looked really inviting and chill. I’d definitely like to eat in next time. Overall, it was a great first visit and I’m already thinking about trying the pho or a rice bowl next time. Highly recommend if you’re craving Vietnamese food!“

“I ordered takeout outside of lunch/dinner hours - can't comment on the atmosphere but the food was ready quickly. I ordered the portobello mushroom salad and the veggie chicken bánh mì. The salad was a hearty size and while a couple of bites were a bit on the spicy side despite ordering the mild option, overall the bánh mì was excellent. Seemed good value for the money, just hope in the future they can offer a veg phở option rather than the current beef broth varieties.
Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options *other than* the phở. I think they just opened though so hopefully they'll offer a veg recipe at some point soon! Also like that they specified how to make something vegan and offered that customization.“

“It is a small restaurant that focuses on take out. There are about 3 tables. Because it is mainly takeout, there are always many customers waiting in the store. The service is reasonably fast. Grilled chicken banh mi > fresh spring roll > rice noodles were delicious in that order.“

“As a pho lover I have to say GIA LAM on 48th Street is absolutely the best Vietnamese Restaurant in Brooklyn, if not the entire NYC and beyond for a number of reasons.
#1. With today's inflation, I was able to pay only $43.50 with tax included for 2x pork chop with rice and 2x Pho Soup #1. You will not find a Vietnamese Restaurant this affordable.
#2. The soup base is perfect. The meat and additions are generous and complete compared to other restaurants that is much less or missing certain meats.
The pork chop is abundant. More than 2 pieces are always given compared to other places. And the meat is delicious and well-cooked and char just right.
#3. They make your food fast. I ordered and in less than 15 minutes, it was ready.
I've eaten at this place for the past 5 years.
Give it a try. You will definitely not going to regret it.“

“the Banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) is very good and their other things are also pretty good, I heard, but it is a long wait, usually about 10 minutes if not busy and 20 minutes when there is a few people there. Also there is no dine in since the place in extremely small. So you order, wait outside, get your food, and leave. but definitely worth the wait if you have the time“

“This unassuming place has been super consistent over the years. My go to order is the grilled pork banh mi and it never disappoints. Bread is always crispy, fillings are flavorful and well balanced. They usually have it ready in under 10 mins. One of my neighborhood go-tos.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
**Banhmigos is a Flavor Explosion You Don't Want to Miss!**
I stopped by **Banhmigos** in Brooklyn and was absolutely blown away — this place is a *hidden gem*! I ordered the **peach green tea with boba** and a **chicken bánh mì**, and both were *phenomenal*.
The peach green tea was refreshingly light, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the boba had that perfect chewy texture. But the real star of the show? The chicken bánh mì. The bread was **baked to perfection** — warm, crispy, and *toasted just right*, which took the sandwich to another level. Every bite had that satisfying crunch followed by juicy, flavorful chicken, crisp veggies, and a delicious balance of sweet, savory, and spicy.
While the space is small and seating is limited, Banhmigos *more than makes up for it* with the **exceptional quality of their food** and **friendly, fast service**. The staff were kind, efficient, and clearly take pride in what they do.
If you're anywhere near the area, **make it a point to stop here**. Whether you're craving something refreshing or a sandwich that seriously hits the spot, Banhmigos delivers big flavor in a small space. I can’t wait to go back!“

“This is my most convenient and favorite restaurant! The food here to great quality with the most flavorful broth I've ever had! I love the 24 hour service, ambient lighting during late nights, and the wide range of menu options of pho, smoothies, bubble tea, and high end food add-ons like lobster & rib-eye steak. I can come here 3am, eat in peace & stay as long as I want! The employees are chill, polite and professional. Love the spaces in between the main area and smoothie bar for small to large groups! Totally love this place!“

“I don’t usually give five star reviews, as I am pretty picky. Today I ordered takeout, and was suggested by the cashier to order the grilled chicken Bahn Mi. The flavor did not disappoint! You can choose to get no spicy, mild, or spicy. I decided to get spicy, and although I feel like it could’ve been more spicy, the quality of the sandwich made me look past it. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the bread was also fresh and toasted perfectly! Will be coming back to try their boba next! (Excuse the photos these were the best I could get)“

“I have to order from Henry's once a week and I always get the veggy pork bahn mi. The faux meat is tender and juicy. It always feels like they pile a lot in. And the pickled veg are so yummy and crispy. I'm vegetarian but the hubby eats meat. He ALSO orders the veg pork bahn mi because it's so good. I also like the smoothies. The taro one is basically dessert. Tastes like a taro milkshake. The mango one is super refreshing.
I always call for pick up. And almost always the food is ready and waiting for me when I get there less than 10 mins later!
We love Henry's!“

“I was here last week for a food event/car show(?). The line and wait to get inside was not all too bad minus the stray rain showers that came down once in a while. Food was amazing but the venue itself was not well ventilated so I had to catch myself going outside after a short while.“

“The atmosphere is dirty and neglected. The hand sanitizer on a counter ...please change to a liquid one, the gelly one you have... tells people not to come. The food is DELICIOUS! Compliments to the Chef! And if not for a counter girl who, for some reason, did not offer the variety of sauces with an expensive take out order like she was asking others, and when asked for another white plastic bag made a facial expression of non-English speaker, this place is very in favor of locals who want to grab yammy light dinner or lunch on their way home from work.“
