“Valentine's Day is always difficult at a restaurant but it could not have been nicer. From the welcome we received at the front (big smiles, coat check, etc) through dessert and a complimentary rose on leaving, it was a magical evening. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.“

“My girlfriends and I was just at Moderne Barn last night. It was my first time eating here. I have to say the overall environment was very friendly, welcoming, beautiful. By the way I love the chandeliers. We sat upstairs - very nice area. Plenty of people eating here. The food and drinks I may add is very delicious. I had salmon and white wine and sangria. Have to say no complaints. The staff very very nice and friendly. Highly highly recommend. Thank you Moderne Barn for a lovely ladies night out!“

“I dined at Lily's with my family for Sunday brunch. We were very happy with the food and service. Our servers were friendly and attentive. The food was great and came out quickly. I had the avocado toast, which was fresh. We all had dessert which included the gluten free brownie, peanut butter mousse, and crème brûlée. All of them were delicious and we cleared our plates. We will definitely be returning!“

The food was excellent as well and the wine selection perfectly matched the oysters and the dinners we chose. we have eaten there before, and the quality of staff and food have not lost any ground. “Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!“

“Sweetest cafe in Irvington, New York. Clean space, service is smooth and quick, food is fresh, and they have an array of pastry options. We tried the honey turkey sandwich, tiramisu, and cappuccino- everything was just right and the portions perfect. You’ll feel at home inside; ideal for breakfast, brunch or for study. “Upscale but not too posh place in Greenwich with a menu that will please almost everyone! It was our first time in the area and this place stood out. The staff was very friendly and food was very good. We didn’t get any starters and I ordered the pork cooked well done so it took a while to get our food, that’s not a complaint just a warning. I would recommend getting a starter, especially if you are drinking because my margarita was stiff! Wish they had some mocktails. It’s a lovely place. Great place for a date night.

Vegetarian options: They had multiple non-meat forward dishes, tofu, mushroom. Etc.

Dietary restrictions: The chef was extremely accommodating to an onion allergy.“

“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“My husband and I got to the restaurant before the huge crowd arrived on Saturday. The bartender was fabulous but was making drinks for the entire restaurant which you could tell she was overwhelmed, understandably so. They should have had at least 3 bartenders on with the amount of business they had. By the time we were finished with our meal, which was delicious, the place was a total zoo with the volume of business. I think a lot of the bad reviews come from the staff being completely overwhelmed by the amount of people showing up. If they had double the staff it wouldn't be so bad.“
