“I recently had the spicy chicken breasts at this spot, and they were fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crispy and crunchy on the outside, while staying juicy and flavorful inside. The spice level hit just right and gave a satisfying kick without being overwhelming. For the price I paid, the meal was incredibly fulfilling and felt like great value for the money.

The only downside to the experience was the atmosphere. One of the workers repeatedly shouted “Uncle” to the cook in the back to get orders prepared. While I understand that the team was small (there were only three people working) this yelling disrupted the otherwise enjoyable visit. Even if it was meant to be efficient, it didn’t create a calm vibe. That said, I can cut them some slack, but finding a quieter way to communicate would definitely improve the dining experience.“

“The sliders are decent and large with a good varying amount of spice levels suited for anyone to enjoy. The hot mozz on the other hand, which is pretty viral, was a let down. It tastes really heavily like one of the red peppers, cayenne or paprika, and seems to just be known for a cheese pull.“

“Amazing elevated chicken. It's not just chicken, however. Oysters were superb. Salads (the scallion salad is an absolute delight) and all the sides are just superior. Little touches that seem whimsical but are just spot on - try the 24 carat nugget with caviar. Excellent star-studded champagne list; why not? Staff were just exceptional. Special shout out to the sommelier who came by and spent time even though we didn't buy a killer bottle of bubbly. We will return.“

“OMG. I wasn’t expecting the flavor explosion from this place. Even though they only serve one protein (guess), they knock it out of the park. The chicken, seasoning, and onion arrived at the table. Slipped a glove on and dug in! Ouch… it was so damn hot. After getting over that initial shock, the first piece went into my mouth… heaven! So then I expanded to try it with the seasoning… heaven-squared! As I continued devouring the chicken, my son pointed out, “try it with the onion as well.” Ok, that blew my mind… heaven-cubed! I am definitely coming back even with the crazy parking and the congestion pricing for out-of-towners.“

“The spicy chicken biscuit omg toooooo die for so my husband and I saw many people entering this spot plus it was our first time. We heard mac and cheese, greens, and fried chicken. So we got a bucket of mixed chicken, two sides of Mac and cheese, and some collard greens (they make them with black eyed peas and tomatoes; totally different from any kind of greens I ever had and I definitely was left craving more. Nice little spot and such friendly people. Heading back very soon“

“I just saw a sign for gamjatang (감자탕) at what looked like just a chicken wing spot. Honestly, I had zero expectations since it didn’t seem like a place that specializes in it but I was craving it so much that I gave it a shot.

Wow. The broth was light and clean, the meat tasted really fresh and not greasy at all, and the flavors were super well-balanced. The service was friendly, and it was $15. I went in with no expectations at all and walked out completely satisfied.“

“I’ve been in the neighborhood 10+ years and I can’t believe it took me this long to discover Chicken Stop! 10/10, always, and I mean ALWAYS consistent! The chicken has so much great flavor, but the hidden gem are the ribs!! If you come across Chicken Stop, I highly recommend, lunch or dinner- they have solid options, the lunch chicken bowl is surprisingly refreshing.

“Was in the area and decided to try Bobwhite Counter at the Jacx&Co food hall. It was a good experience with server Meagan A. I went for the Truffle Aioli Chicken Burger, and the hand-cut fries with the choice of the black truffle aioli dip, and a sweet tea. Very tasty and crispy. The fries were perfect and tasted good as it is fried with tallow. Gourmet quality food in a food hall in LIC. Thank you. Will visit again

Which I did on April 19th around 11.15am (lunch), my first visit for this review was on April 17th around 6.45pm (dinner)

My first visit was great as mentioned in this review.

However, my second visit wasn't that good. Not sure if the restaurant just opened for the day at 10.30am, and the food in my opinion didn't seem like it was made fresh, maybe heated up from the previous evening's batch.

The chicken in the burger didn't seem hot enough and crispy like my first visit. And the fries were soft, not tight and crispy like my first visit.

The second visit, I had the #2 Burger with the Chimichurri Aioli, and had the fries on the side with the same flavor dip of Chimichurri Aioli.

I was kinda hungry, so I ate the burger and the fries without getting a re-do. I did however give this feedback to the server Meagan A.

I would give this second visit a 3-star based on the quality of the food, which was way different from my first experience. I think maybe the kitchen cooks up a fresh batch from 3-4pm for the afternoon/night, as I saw the kitchen crew cooking around that time.

The service crew still deserves a 5-star.

I hope the management can look into this, so that I will not be disappointed in my next visit, whether for lunch or dinner.

Otherwise, I may then choose to go around dinner time as opposed to the brunch/lunch hours.

“Food is always great but its been about 7 times that I have went and the fried chicken has run out, and it takes 15-20 minutes for it to cook. I feel like they need to better manage the timing. Once they see that the chicken on display is half gone, they should already start frying a new batch instead of waiting for the last min where there's less than 10 pieces for them to now start frying the new batch. Also they have a limit on breast they fried in each batch. So if the few pieces are gone, you will now have to wait for the new batch to fry and that can take over 45 mins, especially if they are not ready to fry a batch. Other than that, the food is great and the staff are also very friendly.“

“I had a question why the payment on the app didn't have a cash option. and they went above and beyond to allow me to pay cash. Khuram and Bhumika were working and went above and behind to allow me to pay cash. Getting my order perfect. It was also during a snow storm so I give them credit for caring. When most people in food industry dont.“
