“Went to Spice Village for lunch today. At that time of day the restaurant felt cold and looked a little dreary. We were about to leave when the owner Naresh came over with some welcoming bread. He was friendly and very welcoming. My daughter and I decided to stay. We ordered the vegetable samosas and chef specials yogurt chicken from the appetizer menu and as our main dish we had the butter chicken with garlic nan. Glad we stayed. Everything we had was quite delicious.“

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

Nothing could have been better, the owners and staff helped us order and our food was novel and superb, and they guided us to the right choices. Afghani Delight Chicken and Achari Chicken were both fantastic with the Naan and also with the rice (which he gave us an order for free when he thought it looked like we needed it.) “Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! ALSO, they change different dishes every day, so we usually go twice a week & it’s always fresh!!! The staff is super friendly & makes us always welcome! They even have their buffet on weekends! “We recently hosted my son’s birthday party at A Nest Indian Cuisine, and it was a wonderful experience.The food was outstanding—everyone especially loved the appetizers including Mixed Grill, Amritsari Fish Fry, Bagara Paneer, Lasuni Gobhi and Veggie Noodles.

For the main course, the highlights were Pindi Chole, Chicken Curry, Kadai Paneer, and Yellow Dal Tadka. Their Malai Naan is a must try .The drinks like Mango Lassi, Jalzeera and Mango Tango were also a big hit. We finished with delicious Gulab Jamun for dessert, which everyone enjoyed.

Highly recommend this place for parties and family gatherings! Great experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by everyone at the party—both kids and adults.

“This is definitely some of the best Indian Takeout in the area. There are tables but not the most inviting atmosphere to sit in. The food is and always has been the star here. We use Indian Express for catering as well and the portions and flavors are always on point.“

“Taste of Mumbai is unbelievably good. I've ordered takeout from them 1-2x per month for the last two years and I have NEVER had a meal that I would rate less than an A-. I'm just in awe of how good the food is every single time, and whenever I try something new on the menu I find something else that I love, to the point where now it takes me forever to decide what to order because there are so many amazing options! A few of my favorites are the Methi curry, Green Masala curry, Baigon Bhartha, and onion kulcha. The only downside so far has been that I wish there was more flexibility with spice levels as my wife has a low tolerance and is limited to specific dishes that are naturally very mild.
Overall, Taste of Mumbai has become one of my favorite restaurants and I cannot recommend them any higher.“

“Bhatura King is definitely worth checking out if you’re craving authentic North Indian street-style food on Long Island. The chole bhature was flavorful, fresh, and the bhaturas were perfectly fluffy with a nice crisp on the outside. Portions were generous and the taste felt very close to what you’d get in Delhi.

The menu has a lot of good options and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service was a little slow during peak time and seating can feel a bit crowded. But overall, the food absolutely delivers and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Great spot for comfort food and chai!“
