By any regular metric, this is a 5/5. Unfortunately, this is New York. More unfortunately, they have a Michelin star. Thus, they must be judged within the strata in which they belong.
The ingredients were FRESH. This is their calling card. The carrots, the squash, the beets, the buckwheat. Kudos to their souring.
The meal is an imbalanced (to me and my table). We were craving protein, and this place highlights the produce. I will say the tastiest dish was a non meat course (mushrooms in a dashi broth)
Not top of my list, but massive respect to what they serve and what they represent.“

“Absolutely amazing gluten free food. Shared mozz sticks, truffle pizza, and homemade garganelli with vodka sauce and literally audibly mmmm-ed my way through lunch. Service was warm and friendly. Was so nice to look at a menu and be able to eat every single thing on it. Highly recommend eating here.“

“Just came back from Mother's Day Brunch with my sons and husband. Food was excellent as was the service! Beet salad was so good, burgers cooked to perfection, shakshuka with merguez sausage was delicious, the white truffles pizza with poached eggs was amazing!! “This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! Highly recommended!“

“We used Michelle and TLK to cater our wedding reception. I highly recommend that anybody else who needs catering uses TLK. They are beyond professional. The food was absolutely amazing, guests still rave about it months later. She adjusted the menu so every single guest with allergies was accommodated and we didn't need to worry (guests with nut issues could eat everything). She features gluten free and dairy free food, but honestly, who cares. It is hands down the best wedding catering I've ever had. She also coordinated setup perfectly with our venue. We didn't have to do anything.

“A few years ago, I was hired to write a series of articles about regional Italian cuisine. Since then, I have been looking for traditional Italian gelato. Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!“

“We came from Canada to New York and decided to try this place while we were in Brooklyn; and we’re really glad we did. It’s a great spot. The entrance door is beautiful, almost like an old European shop, which gives it a lot of charm. The owners are incredibly kind and friendly, genuinely some of the nicest people we’ve met. The food was amazing; honestly one of the best falafel sandwiches I’ve ever had, packed with fresh vegetables. The salad was also very tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!“

“Love Nami Nori and decided to spend Valentine's Day here with my husband. The food was outstanding as always but the service was absolutely terrible. Especially considering it was a special evening, the waiter's complete lack of care was really disappointing and certainly dampened the mood. He never once greeted us, asked how we were, and would just come over and stare at us and say “are you ready?” He never asked if we wanted to order more drinks. When I was listing the hand rolls I would like in my set (you pick 5), he got extremely frustrated because he missed some of them and was extremely rude and visibly annoyed when asking me to repeat them even though that's how most people order the rolls there. It was unfortunate that he was so unpleasant on a nice where many people are spending time with loved ones and celebrating Valentine's Day. Really disappointed in his service and desperately hope he is not my server next time I go.“

“Fast, easy, and perfect location from the 9/11 memorial. There were soooo many options of pizza. It was also open earlier than typical lunch time so it was one of the only easy food places to get to. It seemed a little dirty inside but I think that was also something that made it seem pretty authentic.“
