“Sushi & Kimchi has become my new favorite comfy, cozy, and cute hideaway in Rockland for when I want the best tasting and authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine. Gina (owner) and Julie (waitress) are both absolutely lovely! Both Gina and the restaurant remind me of what I recall to have been the first Korean/Japanese sushi house in Bardonia, NY that I grew up up dining at in the early 2000’s and up until I moved out of state in 2008. Unfortunately, that location is no longer in business, but Sushi & Kimchi definitely gives all the nostalgic feels! The foos is always fresh and absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the service is always on point, and you’re welcomed each time with a warm welcome from everyone! It’s a little hidden gem in a parking lot off of Route 59 in Nyack that winds down in the late afternoon and is calm in the evening. The perfect place to go for an overall relaxing experience that will have you leaving full after having enjoyed every last bite! I’ve also ordered through DoorDash and the presentation, temperature, taste and overall quality were all solid as well. Thoroughly impressed!

To start, I love the menu and really appreciate the variety of options for simple rolls (healthy, limited/no filler ingredients) versus the usual sole focus on an array of specialty rolls. Additionally, the portions were perfect, especially the rice to protein ratio, and the prices are incredibly fair.

Lastly, i’m a fanatic for avocado maki rolls, and the avocado was so perfectly RIPE that it was borderline melting in my mouth. It might sound silly, but I was in heaven lol.

“I don’t know about the rest of you all, but this is by far, the best Japanese Cuisine place in the Area. Some of the best items from their menu The Angry Dragon Sushi, The Shrimp tempura, and the Spicy Salmon rolls.

Also try the gyoza and the amazing Kani salad (regular or spicy)

You gey to choose 2 meats plus a roll, shumai, rice & tempura veggies and soup & salad. Very good. Even better they a stamp card & you get stamps for every $25 you spend. Prices reflect food quality. Be prepared to pay for the best all around Japanese food in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

They run it like fine dining, not like a casual sushi bar. So they have strict rules around noise, noisy kids, and cell phones. Don't expect to bring your kid and set him up with an ipad with the volume on. Seems reasonable. No outside food, no exceptions. Seems reasonable.

The servers were polite, no issues in this department.

“Came here to eat in New Year’s Day. Miso soup was so good. We ordered many hand yolks between two people. There was one tool I didn’t like too much I can’t remember the name now but all the rest were fresh and delicious.

All staff are very friendly, and the delivery is fast and correct. They have great lunch specials with rolls, but I've had dinner there before, too which is just as good. “I had a wonderful date night yesterday at Osaka. I randomly had a taste for hibachi so I searched and came across this location in Tarrytown. Although it was a 30 min drive from home we decided to try our luck. When we arrived, to surprise it was jammed packed however they say us down and we had drinks while we waited. The hostess was very attentive during our wait and even provided edamame on the house because the wait was quite extensive due to 3 birthday celebration which were lagging at each table. Once we were seated the food was made fairly quick and my partner and I enjoyed our meals. The noodles were a bit salty but overall my I really enjoyed my meal and my partner even told me my pick was a great choice! I will be back soon!“

Although it’s a seafood restaurant, they offer a variety of delicious Korean dishes. Our favorites are 김치찌개, 돈까스, and 한치회무침—which almost tastes like 물회, just without the soup. All the rolls are fantastic as well. Highly recommend!“
