“Came here on a weekday after work. There were many takeout orders going out the door while we dined. We started off with their grilled octopus, which was one of the best I have eaten in a long time. For the main dish, we ordered the mixed grill platter for 2, which came with a side of lemon potatoes. Honestly, that was enough people to feed more than 2. Everything tasted great. The tzatziki sauce and lemon potatoes sauce were great for dipping. We ordered an orange and lemon greek soda for that all-out authentic greek dining experience.“

“The food was ok. No AC in the restaurant and muggy outdoor eating made it hard. I asked for no tomatoes or olives in my salad and she brought me a full plate of tomatoes in my salad so I didn’t eat it as I never return food. The place needs a good cleaning.“

“This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come.

Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience.

If you go to Central Park, you must eat it. After eating, your hands will be covered in grease, so be sure to take something like wet wipes with you. I had a hard time without it.“

I don't like how I asked for to go box and they gave me a paper box for saucy food.“

First off the food was delicious - started with well poured cocktails to accompany our Pikilia (we especially loved the spicy feta!), followed by the most scrumptiously seasoned lamb chops (Paidakia) EVER, and ended with heavenly home cooked Milfei Napoleon! (With a little extra to take home, FAB!). Our server Tony was great, yet meeting Yiannis and Lia, and taking their recommendations, put this evening over the top! The prices may be slightly higher ($2-$3?) than other places but you get what you pay for. First, the place is immaculate. Everything shines like a mirror. Second, the food is cooked by a certain kind of professional. I'll compare to another cafe nearby that offers a load of grease with your food. Not here. My hash browns were crispy, fluffy, perfect. Eggs, again perfection. The coffee was not as good as it could be (Lavazza please), but more than drinkable. I'm thinking of moving to NYC. Now I'm looking near The Madison as I'll spend most of my mornings there.“

“Food is really good! Comparably priced to most of the fast casual restaurants in midtown area. Got the Piato both times, and the potatoes are great as a base. Chicken is crispy and nice, and the Bambi and Greek Salads are fire. Service is really really good too, and personally get a kick out of the door to the basement being covered by the trash can lol.

“This place is a landmark institution in Astoria and it doesn't disappoint. It is cheap and affordable with a high quality. People still line up to get food from here. I will have to return to try some other items than the chicken. But they were worth the trip.

Vegetarian options: The haloumi is the only "protein" that is vegetarian
