From the moment we sat down, Helena made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. What impressed me most was that she was also managing a very large party right across from us, yet you never would have known it. She handled everything with incredible grace, professionalism, and efficiency—never looking rushed, never making anyone feel forgotten, and always with a warm smile.

She has that rare ability to make every table feel like they’re her top priority. Our drinks stayed full, our food arrived perfectly, and she checked in at just the right moments without ever hovering. Watching her seamlessly juggle such a demanding workload was honestly impressive.

“Looking for relaxing evening at a nearby place, I stopped into Empire Steak. Service was excellent and helpful with lots of recommendations. I went with the beef short ribs and I've never seen ribs this ginormous. The meat fell of the bone and through the folk - scrumptious.“

The French fries however was disappointing- too skinny for a steakhouse standard; kinda feel like they are from McDonald’s

Everything else of the prime rib experience, from the bread and butter, to the creamed corn and Caesar salad, were so innovative and delicious! I love the candied anchovies in the Caesar salad - I want to recreate that at home!“

My mom and 2 children decided to dine here this past Tuesday after searching up about 20 kosher restaurants nearby. We live over 2 hours away but knew we needed to eat good before the long drive back home. Listen… don’t walk, but RUN to this place! I ordered the Tomahawk steak and it came out perfectly. The accompanying chicken dishes (chicken wing poppers, buffalo chicken poppers and chicken and waffles) were superb! You’d think I was a celebrity with how they made sure I left happy. Thank you to the owner for stopping by our table ensuring we enjoyed the food. Thank you to our waiters! We were definitely pleased and will return when we’re in the area.“

I had the Kansas City dry aged and wow I don’t know if I’ll ever have a better steak. Cooked to perfection, and the flavor is exquisite. I got it with the broccolini, and it was the perfect balance with the crunchiness and greens. Don’t even get me started on the drinks, the boulevardier is also the best I’ve ever had, perfect if you also are into Negronis but prefer bourbon. This is the hallmark of a NYC high tier restaurant experience. Will come back again and again.“

“Really great experience here. Lauren took care of us and was honestly a huge part of why the night was so enjoyable. Super personable, easy to talk to, and just made us feel really comfortable the whole time. My daughter loved her and keeps asking when we’re going back to see her again .You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and it really made the experience stand out. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

“Omg absolute perfection!! My husband made reservations and told them it was our anniversary and they went all out. I had the filet with macaroni and cheese and who would have thought that was the best part. They did a champagne toast, had a “happy anniversary” card on the table and a candle in the cheesecake which was incredible. Our waiters worked as a team and made everything unforgettable. “First time in NYC so we just picked a steak place. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like royalty! The food? Well, everything we ordered was mouth-watering! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted even better. The crab cake, broccoli and Mac and cheese were one of the best we have tasted. (I am very picky) the portions were plentiful. I didn't even have room for dessert (which is ALWAYS my favorite part of the meal) You will not be disappointed!“

“Prices are a bit high for what you get and the menu is limited, but the food was delicious and cooked properly. Complimentary bread didn't seem fresh though. Presentation was also a little lacking. Decor is a time capsule from the 1960s, however it kinda works. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive. I don't really feel like I need to go back. More of a one time thing.“

My server's name was Chris. This man was on point with everything, professional and attentive so if you get the chance ask for Chris you wont be disappointed.
