“We went for a Valentine’s dinner the night after Valentine’s Day. It was great. We got the 5 course Valentine Menu. It was phenomenal. I ordered the strip steak- cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the chicken saltimbocca- fantastic. The whole meal was enjoyable and great service.“

“We had the fish Fry with macaroni and cheese. Salad bar had lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onions, croutons, black olives. Plus, coleslaw, cottage cheese, crab salad and soup. The details of the menu, signature cocktail, embellishments and affordable pricing were as smooth as silk. The follow up meetings were effective and brief. Every detail was accommodated in style and with class. When Alicia said not to worry, they will handle everything, I left it in their capable hands and didn’t give it another thought. The event of about 30 family and dear friends was an astounding and resounding success. One word: Delicious! The presentation was wonderful. The service was timely, accurate, professional, and nearly invisible throughout the evening. Everyone is still raving about the menu variety, service, and the General sumptuousness of the event. This was the best choice. Alicia, you are wonderful!! We are still on cloud 9. This one review represents 28 rave accolades and approvals. Job well done!“

“Recently had a wonderful experience at Applebees in Herkimer. We were sat quickly and our table was very clean. Our server Stephanie was wonderful, greeted us within seconds of sitting down to take our drink orders and gave us some time to look at the menus. Food and service were excellent! Will be back!“

“My husband and I both had the Chilean Sea Bass which was superb, although pricey. The Asian shrimp salad was fantastic that I had and my husband really liked the lobster bisque as well. Our waiter, Zack, never failed to show up at the appropriate times we needed him and gave us great service. Would highly recommend!“

“Very good food. My gf and I just started going here. It's our 2nd time. The breakfast is amazing. And very good priced. $12 for a 2 eggs, meat, hasbrowns or home fries and toast. Can't beat that. Best prices in the area. Can deff bring the family there and not empty the pocket like other diners in the area.

Girlfriend is very picky about her food especially her eggs. They've come out perfect over medium eggs both times. Great staff, service is great and very friendly people. Even the cook and dishwasher always have a smile on their faces and actually pay attention to the customers.

9/10/24 UPDATE. Lunch did not disappoint either. Gf got a Rachel (Turkey and Cole Slaw Ruben...by special request) (also at no additional cost and was able to change the rye bread to italian) amazing. And for $11.33 served with a pretty big serving of fries. I got a 1/3lb Daves Burger also amazing. $11.00. I added bacon and cheese for a $13.95 total. With sodas my bill was just under $33. Very affordable for 2 people to eat. Will deff keep coming back.“

“Love this place. I Never had a bad meal. The staff are pleasant. I go on my 30 minute lunch. I have time to eat and drive back to work. Today I had a tuna sandwich and a bowl of Homemade New England Clam Chowder. The tuna was white albacore (amazing) and the soup was delish. Prices are reasonable. I really didn't want to write this review as I am now afraid they will get busier and I will have to call my orders in but it is well deserved.“

With higher prices and decreasing quality and every popular chain, Castlewood continues to offer their large menu, with same quality products! They have not changed that in this economy! “We made a last minute reservation because we had to change venues for a picky eater. We were celebrating my MIL's birthday. She had the ribeye and loved it. That's all that really mattered. We also ordered the burger, a pizza, chicken francaise and Tuscan chicken. Everything was delicious. We were early so the place wasn't too busy and the service was top notch! The waitress surprised us with a dish of ice cream with a sparkler in it for the birthday girl. It was so awesome! Great service!“
