“Do not judge this place based on solely on what angry orchard releases commercially. This is where they work on their upscale and experimental ciders. As such you will find something for every palette here: sweet, dry, barrel aged, rose,… you name it, they’ve tried it.
I am especially fond of their wooden sleeper series and look forward to the release events for each of the annual verities (wassail especially).
It’s difficult to recommend food as the offerings are always changing, but you can count on getting something to eat weather from their kitchen or a visiting food truck or a local pop-up.
They often have fun events and live music. Make sure to check their website before visiting to see if there is an event going that you’d like to participate in. I’ve see new release events, cider float events, ugly sweater party’s, apple blossom festivals, Kentucky derby viewing events, themed trivia events, board game nights, and so much more.“

“Such an amazing afternoon at Minards with friends! We came with our 7 (combined) kids - who are 3-14 years old- And seriously, every single one of the kids had a blast, as did the parents! It’s a great set up for your kids to play while the grownups hang out nearby hand can enjoy a beverage or two. Angie and Jason were WONDERFUL hosts - which is kind of wild because my assumption is that the owners would generally oversee from some sort of ivory tower, but nope! They are right there “in it” with all the customers visiting for the day. I won’t lie- I love it and they are awesome people. My 7 year old is currently directing me to give them a 10 star review and is NOT happy that 5 is the max amount allowed. The parking lot was full of lots of jersey and Pennsylvania plates and that’s awesome- but more locals need to come spend a day here because it was an awesome experience for all! Also worth noting- I know places like this can be incredibly overwhelming for kids who may be neurodiverse and not thrilled with sensory overload. If you do come and try a day hanging out here- look for Angie (Incredibly friendly, very pretty blonde - can’t miss her!) and introduce her to your little one. Her whole background is in taking care of kiddos just like yours and she’s like a sorcerer with making them feel comfortable and not overwhelmed! “I recently stopped at the Restaurant at Apple Greens rest area along the Thruway in Upstate New York. Overall, it was a very efficient and convenient stop for a quick meal and break during the trip. I grabbed breakfast at Chick-fil-A, and though it was only my second time trying it, I enjoyed the spicy chicken biscuit—it was pretty good! There’s also a Panera Bread, Burger King, Auntie Anne’s, and a souvenir/convenience store, which offers plenty of options.
The decor is pretty basic, but it’s what you’d expect from a rest stop, so no complaints there. However, the place was quite cold, which made it a bit uncomfortable. The bathrooms, on the other hand, were very clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated when traveling.
Overall, this rest stop gets the job done and has everything you need for a quick break. I’d recommend it if you're on the Thruway and need to stop for food or a bathroom break.“

“Okay... first of all - I ordered for take-out and my husband is lucky this food even made it home. The car smelled so good, I wanted to pull over to eat it right there. Both the chowder and stuffed clams had big, tasty pieces of clam. I got the Mac & Cheese with garlic shrimp - there were no less than 20 pieces of roasted cloves which were sweet and delicious. The shrimp was completely deveined and tender. My husband thought the stuffed clams were a little salty, I thought they were perfect, so do what you want with that. I am verily looking forward to my next visit.“
“Great place for burgers, wings, sandwiches etc. Nice variety of beer and wine selections. Definitely will be returning!“

“The owners, James and Michelle, and staff are always welcoming. Great selection of coffee and tea. They'll grind your selection of beans or take em home whole. James' paninis just great. Starbucks has nothing on Mudd except hype. You want good ☕️ and reasonably priced selection of quality products when you need a break Mudd Puddle is worth a drop in.“

“Cajun food in New Paltz NY? I was skeptical, but what we had was terrific! That night the only exception was the jambalaya which seemed overcooked and dry. But everything else was great, the five of us had a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. Too full for dessert. Next time! Easy parking, inside and outside deck seating options.“
“A Hidden Gem Nestled in the Heart of the Hudson Valley!
Robibero Winery is more than just a vineyard – it’s an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking the perfect blend of fine wine, stunning views, and unmatched hospitality. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by rolling hills and rows of vines that seem to stretch to the horizon, creating a serene backdrop for a truly idyllic day.
The tasting room is cozy yet modern, and the staff is as warm as the wine is exquisite. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just beginning your journey into the world of wine, the knowledgeable team at Robibero is there to guide you, making the experience personal and immersive. Each wine is a revelation, but their bold reds and crisp whites are standouts.
What makes Robibero Winery stand out, though, is not just the wine, but the attention to detail in every aspect of the visit. The outdoor seating area, complete with fire pits and Adirondack chairs, offers breathtaking views of the vineyards, making it the perfect spot to sip your wine while watching the sun set over the Hudson Valley. It’s not hard to lose track of time here.
On weekends, they have live music and food trucks, adding a lively energy to the relaxing vineyard ambiance. And for pet lovers, Robibero is dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends to enjoy the day with you.
In short, Robibero Winery is the complete package: outstanding wine, a beautiful setting, and a team that makes you feel like family. Whether you’re looking for a romantic afternoon getaway, a fun day with friends, or a place to unwind and take in nature's beauty, this winery is a must-visit. I can't recommend it highly enough – five stars all the way!“

“Signed up for a tour for us and two visiting friends, and it was only the four of us on a Saturday in September. The tour guide was excellent, fielding all of our questions and teaching us a lot about the history and process there. The tasting is perfect when you still have to drive home: each person picks 6 liquors, and they come in small capped bottles. You can sample them there in the tasting room or take them home.
Very fun to visit for the tour, but will be back just to go to the bar and get food from the taco truck!“
