“Fantastic food. Nice and friendly people. there pulled pork and brisket is amazing. When I went to leave my car had a dead battery. The owner sent one of his workers to get a jump pack to help me start my car! I travel around 40 mins to go there for there BBQ and will keep coming back!!“

“We absolutely love the food and service. For over 20 years it has been our special occasion go to place. However the last 2 times we were here we have had encounters with children from other tables. I know kids will be kids, but please ask them to remain at their own table. Today there was a young boy playing with cars on the floor under our table which was across the aisle from theirs. We were there for our Anniversary and I have a newly broken ankle. My first venture out since surgery and the child slammed my injured leg under my table. His mother was upset when we asked to keep him at her table and proceeded to let him and his sister run around unsupervised. This is not the first time that we have encountered unsupervised children here and I wish servers could or would be able to kindly ask parents to supervise their children for everyone's safety. Family friendly does not mean wild children allowed.“

“An excellent little distillery adjacent to a beautiful river outlook. The location of this spot is very special - in the fall, you can sit outside and watch birds and deer use the river, enjoy the beautiful foliage as this is tucked into the forest. It’s also right between a bunch of similar businesses on a mini winery and cidery crawl - Bruysnwick and Whitecliff wineries as well as angry orchard cidery sit within 10-15 minutes of this spot. They have a food truck that offers tacos while we were there, and if it’s too cold or crowded the indoor bar is wonderful and has an old pub feel with local art on the wall.
Tuthilltown is apparently New York’s first legal distillery - they sell recognizable bottles of rye and bourbon you will see throughout New York, but have a couple of distillery exclusives that can only be bought here. Overall we found the bourbons and ryes a mixed bag - some good, some bad. A couple were incredible and we took some of the samples home as well. If you’re in a group and want to make a purchase of a bottle, a great option is the tasting kit - at $20 for 6 tasters, it’s a great, cost effective way of trying things out before you buy them. I can’t recommend this spot strongly enough, I’ll definitely be back to try some cocktails and more bourbons!“

“We just had dinner to go. It took 5 minutes. My son is picky and won’t eat most empanadas. It has been years since he has eaten them. It came with sauce choices other than just hot sauce or ketchup mayo. It was not full of grease nor just the sub par Goya discs. We rarely go out for Spanish food because Titi or Abuela or some other PR family is just around the corner and going out to eat Latin food was subpar! But this was stellar!!! I’m sure my son will want empanadas weekly now…“
“Enjoyed a delicious breakfast of the morning sunshine plate, chocolate banana bread, and an iced latte. Inside is a beautiful seating area and a small market of local and imported goods. There’s also outdoor seating by the garden. The service was quick and friendly, and we would definitely come back!“

“We went here tonight for my birthday dinner and it was fabulous!!! For me to say fabulous takes a lot. I'm very picky. The Tres amigos appetizer, delish!!! I think my eyes literally rolled to the back of my head when I was eating the sausage. it was so good. We will definitely be coming back.“
