50 Best Seafood Restaurants near Great Neck Plaza

“My friend and I - both longtime lovers of Asian cuisine - were originally headed to another spot for lunch, but it was closed for a break until 5 PM. Hungry Monster was nearby, so we decided to give it a try - and we’re so glad we did!
Though the restaurant is small, it’s incredibly cozy and comfortable, with a mix of four-person tables and bar-style seating with stools. When we arrived, there were only a couple of teenagers sipping smoothies, so we practically had the place to ourselves. That meant we got the full attention of our wonderful waiter, Biscuit, who was very attentive and made us feel well cared for from start to finish.
We both ordered their signature dish package - I chose the soup-based seafood package, and my friend ordered the beef version. Each dish came served in a small cauldron, full of different ingredients and rich flavor. The portions were generous, so I ended up taking half of mine home. As a nice touch, they packed my leftovers in a high-quality branded bag with the restaurant’s name, which I really appreciated.
We ended our meal with drinks - mine was a refreshing grapefruit and lemon green tea, and my friend had a Mango Tea Yakult, which was fruity, creamy, and perfectly balanced.
The ambiance added to the experience. The decor combines traditional Asian elements with anime-style art, even on the bathroom door! It was fun, vibrant, and gave the place a unique personality. Pleasant background music played throughout the meal - it was noticeable enough to enhance the atmosphere but soft enough not to interfere with conversation.
Some practical notes:
• They offer delivery, and you can get a 10% discount on takeout if you pay in cash.
• They’re open every day.
• The only downside is parking - limited spots in front of the restaurant and no obvious public parking nearby. You can risk parking in the nearby plaza, but there are tow warnings posted. Thankfully, we didn’t have any trouble.
All in all, we had a wonderful lunch at Hungry Monster. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the whole experience felt welcoming and personal. We’ve been to many Asian restaurants before, and this one stood out in the best way.

“Dagim is fabulous! The menu is vast and has options to suit everyone, and the service is exceptional. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely for either parties or cozy family dinners. “The place is a vibe. The atmosphere and esthetics is everything. It has a great vintage, cozy, bookstore mature feels with these bold eclectic open frames. Food is good. Well presented but lacks flavor. Where the food lacks in the drinks make up in style. Service is attentive but not amazing. Overall. Great time. Great vibes. “Stopped here on a Sunday night as they were about to close they were pretty much out of everything. Kerry Ann was kind enough to make us some fresh fried fish and chicken topped it off with some extras. Super amazing customer service. Their coconut drops and peanut cake reminded me so much of back home, jamaica. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely stop by if I'm ever in the area.“

Today I went for a lobster roll which replaced the shrimp roll. last year this lobster was so delicious 😋 couldn't wait till the summer. unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. it is not longer on a garlic bun and now served on a plain hot dog bun :( also flavorless! last yr price was $24 and now up to $28 with no flavor and blah bun. please bring back the recipe from years before. thanks“

“We very recently had my mother's 80th birthday party here at Two25 with 40 attendees. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. First of all, it has a modern, calming and upscale vibe. The restaurant and restrooms are immaculate. Crisp table settings. Cool jazz lightly cascading through the sound system. Just great overall ambiance. From the moment I walked in to inquire about having a party, I met Caitlin, who deftly and expertly handled every single issue, before, during and after, with ease and grace. She made sure that our experience was perfect. A true professional and a credit to the establishment. From the moment that our party started, the staff was incredibly attentive and intuitive. The appetizers of arancini, wontons, and artichokes were absolutely delish. The salads course was perfect. And the main dinner courses were expertly crafted. I personally had the short ribs which were melt in your mouth deliciousness. My wife's salmon was cooked to perfection. And although I did not taste the chicken Milanese, everyone who had it reported it to be excellent. The dessert of gelato and cappuccino was the perfect complement to the amazing meal. And if I didn't stress this point enough, Caitlin and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate every whim. As an amazing example of that, before the day of the event, I mentioned to Caitlin, quite off-handedly, that although their beer selections were top shelf, they didn't have my go-to beer. Would you believe that the manager, Andrea, went out and personally made sure my favorite beer would be on hand for our event. Now that is what I call service!!!!
All of our guests were thoroughly impressed and everyone, invariably, had nothing but positive reviews for the event.
Two25 has skyrocketed up to our family's favorite restaurant.

“This Chicken was some of the best if not the best we’ve ever had! Ended up here on a whim instead of Popeyes and it was the best decision! “I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. “I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“Wow. Lemme just say this restaurant is my new favorite in all of Flushing, let alone the best Hunan restaurant in America. Spicy lovers this will definitely hit home with the boiled sauerkraut fish, braised lamb and minced meat with peppers. The brown sugar glutinous rice is to die for. “Best fried or steamed fish you will ever have from a store front. And seriously maybe the cheapest. My go to is the fried flounder sandwich, $5 today, sometimes $6 cash for two huge pieces depending upon market price. They give you the tarter and lemon and tons of other condiments and spices to put on yourself, just how you like it, before they neatly wrap it up and bag it for you. I always tip them two bucks. Been coming and thankful for them for the last 25 years when they used to be a block south. There are similar looking joints but none nearly as consistently good as Dyre Fish is. I have tried so many, hoping. It is the oil they dont allow to be used too long and the fresh fish picked up daily at Hunts Point Fish Market. And the prices have barely gone up in all that time.“

“I came here for fresh seafood and ended up purchasing several prepared food items, since those are easy and looked well made. I tried both seafood and vegetable dishes. All were fresh and tasted delicious. I care about fresh seafood. Prices are not cheap, but with seafood, quality really matters. There also appears to be a sushi restaurant onsite, which I'll have to try next time I'm in town. Roslyn is fortunate to have several local gourmet markets and this counts.“

The meat was good, maybe if we ordered different types of meat we would've had a better experience. There's nothing wrong with our dinner; we were just a bit disappointed. All in all, for the price range there are better places to go to.“
