“I was visiting relatives and they ordered takeout from here. Holy moly it was delicious! General Tso's chicken was perfect and plentiful with a kick. The shrimp rolls were crispy and fresh. There was a shrimp dish with veggies and sauce. It was piping hot with brown sauce. The shrimp were a nice meaty size. So good! I didn't try the fried rice or the beef dish they got but it looked really good, fresh ingredients, huge portions. I hope they deliver to me or I will have to make a trip!!“
“This place is great, best Chinese takeout in the area, probably the cap region. Its pricier, but the quality is there, you can taste the difference. Their food is real, not fakey msg frozen tasting. There is nothing to compare it to in the area. Everyone please try it out, I want it to last! Try the chicken anything, and you will see/taste the difference, its real sliced chicken, like you would make yourself!“
“Always a pleasure and we frequent Jade often. The food is always delicious and the presentation make you wide-eyed like your out on a special date. We love the Out-of-Control Roll, Naughty Tigress, Alaskan Roll, Godzilla roll, Spring Roll, Sushi Nachos!!, Woo Sen Thai (g.f.), Tom-Yum soup and Beef W/scallions!! If thirsty, the drinks are plentiful and we always have a plesant welcome and good-bye. I would always recommend going to Jade!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options“
“My husband and I went here for a date. The service was excellent. The servers are so friendly and kind. We learned some Chinese words. The food was good. I am gluten free and they made me rice noodles with vegetables and gf soy sauce. My husband enjoyed his food and ate every last drop. Definitely go and support them wonderful people!“
“We tried this restaurant out on Valentine’s Day and it was absolutely perfect. I’ve tried ramen from a few other places in Albany and nothing compared to the ramen I had here. The servers were very attentive and I would absolutely recommend!“

“This place is a legendary staple for local vegans, and I'll get takeout from here at least twice a month. I've pretty thoroughly explored their expansive vegetarian menu over the years and I don't think I've ever disliked anything. My favorite appetizers and entrees change every year, but my current go-to as of writing this is the chicken, beef, and pork in garlic sauce. The pork-fried rice is also ridiculously good. Their General Tso's with the May Wah chicken is sometimes a much-needed break from the tofu that all other Chinese places limit us to. That all being said, a recurring issue with Empire Wok is the inconsistent answers when it comes to distinguishing the vegan from the vegetarian items. I've asked a dozen or so times over the last decade and it is almost always different. Same goes for most others I've talked to about it. This isn't just frustrating for puritanical ethical vegans like me, but potentially dangerous for those with allergies. A while back, I had the one owner go through the meatless menu and cross out anything that contained egg-this included the lo mein and egg rolls, of course (these are basically never vegan, anywhere), but also the sweet and sour chicken that I spent years eating after this same man told me it was vegan. Days after he marked my menu for me, I returned as a vegan family I knew was ordering the sweet and sour chicken and lo mein, because he'd told them it was vegan! Past a certain point, and having asked the same question in multiple different ways, it can't be blamed on a language barrier or a misinformed employee. The food is just too good, though, and you can't find anything like it anywhere else in the 518, so I keep going and just stick to what I know. Hopefully what I'm eating is vegan? “New to Albany and wanted a Chinese soup and dinner. After a few reviews picked on Peral of the Orient hot and sour soup and Szechuan chicken were to the point. Slightly different seasoning but none the less both the hot soup and the chicken hit home. May have got our go to Chinese in Albany.“
“Came for hot pot and really enjoyed it. Great flavor broths and nice selection of meats and vegies for it. The menu was like 30 pages long with the their regular non hot pot options. The food I saw at the tables around me looked excellent. They have a bunch of different live fish available. I will definitely be back to explore that extensive menu further.“
