“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“On December 12th my law office had their holiday luncheon at this wonderful restaurant. I also ordered a tray of meat lasagna for Christmas. If you have never had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant, I suggest you run - do not pass go - and get your butt there and eat the most delicous food on this planet. The chef created the meat lasagna - a simple dish - and elevated to something that just melts in your mouth with deliciousness. LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant!!“
“This place is fun and bizarre in the good way. Music is good. Bartenders are fun. You feel kinda like at home. Characters showing up around friendly and fun. Sometimes live music, sometimes not. Always fun and you can write on the wall with chalks?? Nice“

“I was coming all the way from Buffalo with some friends, to do sightseeing at Sleepy Hollow and we needed to grab a bite to eat, we parked at one of the streets over there and this restaurant popped up over there..
The atmosphere was nice and welcoming with a modern Irish ambience.. But the service was really the best I have seen in years in any locally run restaurant, shout out to one of the servers AJ! He was the best server I have seen, he was checking on us, checking people over and serving food with a decent pace!
If I am around the neighborhood again, I'll sure come back here again.“

“I'ma start like this IYKYK this is a great local pub with good bites, great drinks (I love their bloody Mary's) that's what I come here for...but they have this jalepeño Hot Dogs that impressed me, their burgers and wings are great. This is a place that if you know -you know. Can't go wrong iyk, and if you are reading this now you know!!! I hope you can appreciate this review - Visit Halligans, no matter where you at it's worth the ride, while you're in the area drive by the river side and enjoy the Hudson view!!!“

“Gilligan's is an awesome Grill, my compliments the night my fiancé Mary Elizabeth O'Keefe Goodin and I had dinner there was to both Front of House and Back of House. “After much searching for a restaurant where we could celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday we spoke to Paul the proprietor of Union Cafe ( we had been there for lunches previously). Paul was incredibly accommodating and responsive so we made the reservation for all 30 of us - a group made up of all ages from 11 to 90. The event was a resounding success. The food was amazing and loved by all. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend Union Cafe. We will definitely be going back for lunches , dinners, and special events . Merci Paul.“
