“This place is a gem… we have been going to this restaurant for 7 years (ever since we moved to the area) and each time we thank our lucky stars! The owners take great pride in the food they present, and are there all the time. The staff is consistent, which is always an indication of a well managed restaurant. The staff is also lovely, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The setting, location, and attention to detail is superb. Our 2 children love this restaurant, and there are very child friendly food options on the menu, that also deliver a well balanced meal (not junk food). “The pizza was good and I enjoyed it. BUT...I would not sell it as "chopped cheese" it did not taste or remind me of a chopped cheese. Believe me, I was born and raised in the Bronx and know a thing or 2 about chopped cheese. Also, it was a tad shy on the meat(see pic) for the price I paid.“

“This mom and pop thai restaurant in the busy part of new paltzs is a treasure. The tom yum soup no matter if you get chicken or shrimp seafood or veggies is absolutely spectacular its spicy and savoury and making you want more. The duck curry with mushrooms was like a I was transported to Thailand and enjoy the culture. As an appetizer the shrimp roll was like a tasty treat. And my only thing about atmosphere it needed some music or something but otherwise great place will definitely be bac.“
“What's not to love? This Wappingers spot is right in town, they serve up tasty food, quality beverages, and the staff will treat you well. The bar is quite nice, and definitely clean. Even better, when it's nice outside, there's an adorable back deck that's perfect for sipping a cider, or one of their serious selection of craft beers on tap. There are also cocktails available, but they seem to truly care about the tap selection. Right now they've got a 16% ABV stout out of Brooklyn on tap, which is downright dangerous. This seems like the rare bar that not only fries things well, but it also cares about the rest of its menu too. No one is ever sad about bang bang shrimp and chicken fingers and fries (we order like adults around here), but the salads are very solid as well. There are even vegetarian and vegan options for your friends who aren't quite as meaty (technical term). And that's all I have to say about that.“

“Went to Tomo with my wife and son last weekend. I got a steak hibachi dinner and the Angry Dragon sushi roll, my wife and son got the chicken hibachi dinners. The food was fantastic! We also got the Mt. Fuji drink for 2. Highly recommend going here for a fun atmosphere and good food!“

There's even a small balcony with a view to the Gunks, and a little raised bed of herbs that the bartender uses for drinks... so fresh lavender in your cocktail...be still my senses, only one at a time please! Service is always lovely and welcoming. If you like Bourbon, a cocktail called the "Bees Knees" is the way to go.“

“Been coming here since I got my license, that was 40 years ago. Now that I live in New Paltz I try to get there once a week. Party platter, Chicken BLT, Mac Truck burger or Nachos with Chili is what I usually get. A Guinness is always available and great smiles from all the servers and bartenders. Never been disappointed not once.Parking: If you are lucky you'll be able to park right out front. If not the entire street has parking as well as across the street there's a huge parking lot.“

Excellent waitress, Kaitlyn, who was hustling taking good care of her tables.Only thing to suggest is reducing the time to get a beer at the bar. There were two bartenders and both were bogged down with filling table orders, often making time consuming cocktails. Someone should be sweeping the bar frequently, filling the needs of these customers. Perhaps one more staffer during peak times.“
“My first time here. A couple of friends who’ve visited establishment numerous had treated us to dinner here. Nice looking place! I am loving and digging that chef statue they have near the entrance. Brings back some fond memories of being a chef and cook who had worked in several of food establishments! I had the 12 ounce burger with French fries and American cheese. Burger was cooked to perfection well done. Fries had good flavor. Sampling the onion rings and salad for appetizers while awaiting main course. Waitress Maddie and her assistant I didn’t get the gentleman’s name they both provided excellent service!! Very attentive and thorough with any questions we had about the foods we ordered. Food was excellent I enjoyed everything! Had a blast! I don’t eat out often much anymore but this was a great treat and experience! Rest of company also ordered burgers and was happy with everything! “So yes, we LOVE Mexican food!! We try a lot of different Mexican restaurants... this one was good, but have had better. The Queso was a little different than we expected and rice didn't seem to have as much flavor as others I've tried but everyone has their days. I did like that you got rice with tacos though. The place was nice, a bit tight, but still a great atmosphere and feel. It was a bit busy so service was a bit slow.“

My personal favorite meal is the Sweet Mother Clucker that has this homemade smokey ranch on it….the ranch is out of this world (I want it on everything). “Dive bar in Highland, NY. It's worth the visit for sure. Hospitality is great as the owner Sal came around and greeted us. The waitress was on point. We got the wings, and these were your old school wings, meaty and flavorful. Definitely not the pigeon wings you get from some places. So yea, Sals place is absolutely worth the whiskey ?“
