“A great, cozy neighborhood bar. No frills, no food but they let you take in outside food and there's no shortage of options nearby. Usually a mix of folks of varied ages. I've gone in several times over the years and there are always nice staff working behind the bar. A handy spot to stop in for a pint when you get off the train at Roosevelt Ave and nature calls 😂“

We sat at the bar and enjoyed our conversation with her along with some of the specials and recommendations for the night. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, so delicious and comforting. “Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

The food was absolutely delicious. I started with the street corn, which was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and the ideal combination of smoky, creamy, and tangy. For my main, I tried a few of the tacos, and each one was packed with fresh ingredients and bold, vibrant flavors. The balance of textures and seasonings in each taco made every bite a little celebration of authentic Mexican street food.

The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a comfortable dining experience that made the meal even more enjoyable. Sitting outside in the fresh air while enjoying such tasty dishes added an extra layer to the experience — it felt relaxed, fun, and unhurried.

“Great food, great Guinness, great vibes! Wolfe Tone's was absolutely FABULOUS on Marathon Sunday! Derek was such a pleasure to work with in the weeks before our big day and he and the entire staff took such great care of us and our family and friends post-race! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, and never without a drink! The location is also great, it was easy for everyone to get to and for everyone to go home from (so close to Grand Central and the 6 train!) One of the best pints of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland, such a cozy atmosphere and incredible staff members. Classic Irish pub food, which everybody loved! The classics are classics for a reason, and they were very well done. I’ve also had dinner here on a regular night, and it’s just as good! Great pub fare, generous portions, and a really relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s not just a perfect event spot, it’s a great place for an everyday meal too. I am so grateful to Wolfe Tone's for being a great, reasonably priced, delicious, comfy and cozy place to celebrate post-race. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to host any kind of event. The drinks are awesome, and the space and atmosphere are great. I’ve also been here for comedy show nights, which are always a lot of fun. It’s very centrally located—perfect if your friends are spread all over the city.“

One of the desk staff at Franklin Hotel recommended Penrose! The staff, manager and bartender were so friendly. I have to say I was very happy.
