“My name is Bijaya KC, and I live in California. While visiting New York, I had the chance to try the food here, and it was honestly one of the best Nepali meals I have had in the United States.
Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and full of authentic flavor. The dal, rice, vegetables, pickles, and meat dishes were all prepared perfectly. The flavors were balanced, comforting, and reminded me of meals back home in Nepal. You can tell that the food is made with care and attention to quality.
What I liked most was that the food did not feel like typical restaurant food. It felt like a home-cooked meal made by family. Every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions. The homemade pickles and traditional Nepali flavors really stood out and made the meal memorable.
I have tried Nepali food at many places across the U.S., but this experience was special. It brought back memories of home and gave me a sense of comfort that is hard to find when you are far away from your country.
If you are looking for authentic Nepali food in New York, I highly recommend this place. The quality, taste, freshness, and overall experience were excellent. I would definitely come back again the next time I am in New York.
Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“The food was okay, not as great as I was expecting. It lacks the flavor and savory taste. Even the spice level was not as much as I though it would be, which can be good for some customers. The lunch special costs $15+ and has very limited offering. I got the vegetable soup that comes with it (other options are just salad and soda) and it is very bland. The restaurant itself looks cozy and nice.“

“The absolute PERFECT place for a sweet treat! Ever since this place has opened they have been my go to when my sweet cravings come on! Their menu is always made well and the staff are kind and polite. I personally always go crawling back to their tornado crepe and chocolate milkshakes. 😋😋“

“This food truck serves some of the heartiest momo on the streets of Jackson Heights. We got 8 thick and meaty beef momo for $8 at Amdo Kitchen. The go-to sauces here are the red sauce and white sauce. The halal momo are complimented with a thicker, chewier dough than other momos - it takes me three bites to finish each one. Amdo Momo is a favorite for those looking for an authentic taste of Tibetan cuisine. Don't forget to ask for the side of radish!“

“I visited the Potala Fresh Food truck. These are my favorite momo in the city! The momo are so fresh and juicy you have to lean over the container or plate when you eat them, it’s that juicy! I typically get the beef but they have chicken and other varieties as well. I love that you can also order them frozen if you need a large amount for a home event.“

“My wife and I recently visited Laliguras Restaurant in Jackson Heights, and we had a wonderful experience. This small neighborhood spot is truly a hidden gem and deserves more attention.
I ordered the goat with potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious. The goat was tender, well-seasoned, and full of rich, authentic flavor. The potatoes soaked up the spices perfectly, and everything on the plate tasted fresh, comforting, and homemade. The portions were satisfying, and you could tell the food was prepared with care.
The restaurant may be small, but the quality of the food makes a big impression. I highly recommend stopping by Laliguras Restaurant and supporting this local business. Come hungry and try the goat—you will not be disappointed!“

“Decided to stop here after I got off the subway. It was still open (until 3:30am) and I ordered the chiles rellenos. The hostess was very sweet and my food was ready in 15 minutes. It came with rice, beans, and tortillas! Huge portion. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned—one of the best chile rellenos I’ve had. Will be coming back to try more things! Highly recommend.“

“I feel like some of the negative reviews come from people who don't like that the store has changed. I've been coming here for most of my life, and I wanted to give credit where it's due.
Damian, who helped me today after work, was incredibly kind and genuinely cares about his customers. One of my ginger ale cans tasted off, and he was nice enough to let me exchange it for another drink without any issues.
The pizza was amazing. Of course, every pizza place has its occasional off day, but that's normal. I currently work at a pizza shop in SoHo where slices cost much more than the typical $4 slice here in Queens, so I know good pizza when I taste it.
Honestly, the comparison between this shop and the places across the street is night and day. While many people are spending money on less fresh food nearby, you can get real, fresh pizza here.
Thank you, Damian, for always making great pizza, and thank you to the rest of the staff as well. They all work very hard, and it shows. ❤️“
