“I am super picky about Italian food and my opinion rarely reflects what everyone else considers good. I don’t usually go out for Italian in the area often because of this. I happened to come for my significant other’s birthday and was pleasantly surprised.We ordered a bottle of wine, Spanish octopus, lasagna, braised short rib agnolotti and a cannoli. The octopus was amazing. We order it often when we see it on a menu elsewhere and we were kind of surprised it was offered here. The flavor/ spices were perfect and I haven’t seen a cook on octopus that well done in ages, anywhere. The short rib agnolotti was perfect. Delicious short rib flavor and mushrooms were blended for a delicious dish. There was almost like a gravy for sauce and I highly considered licking it off the plate. Now the lasagna, was a huge portion, which everyone here goes wild for, that is not my top criteria but to each their own. I was a little disappointed with it. It could have been cooked a little more to get the cheese bubbly and it wasn’t seasoned well. The red sauce was just ok. For a dish that probably sells out every night I would think they would have this down pat. The cannoli was amazing. Super crispy shell and delicious filling.The ambiance is what I’d call mom and pop chic in this local gem. They are known for home made pasta and serve a lot of American Italian traditional dishes along with some twists on the classics. Service was great and they are open Mondays which is a huge plus for this area.“

“We had a fantastic dinner at Curlys. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. All the dishes were prepared and served with such purpose. The portions were great too. We had crab cakes, beet salad, Curlys burger, black black bean soup, and scallops Balboa...all just super good. Wonderful restaurant there in Lackawanna!“

“We stopped by the bakery for the first time yesterday, and this is also the first time trying any of their products. Though the cupcake was a little underwhelming, the muffins more than made up for the cupcakes this morning and would not take away from my 5-star review. Even cupcakes can have a bad day! The muffins were AMAZING! Overall, they have a nice variety of gluten free options that will keep me coming back.“

“Absolutely the creamiest, dreamiest soft-serve custard in the Buffalo area. Native to Western New York, I relocated to California twenty years ago. I'm sorry to report: "soft-serve" in the Golden State is a poor excuse for the real thing. It's got no structure--your tongue cuts right through it in about three licks. Also, I'm pretty sure their cows aren't as happy as they claim to be. So, whenever I go home for a visit, PJ Cools is my first and final stop.This custard is rich, sweet, and silky on your tongue. The texture is similar to softened butter--it melts slowly in your mouth. One cone comes complete with a thousand pleasant memories. What's more, the interior of this place is an explosion of kitsch: old-fashioned cartoons and advertisements line the walls.If you live anywhere near this magic little shack, don't take it for granted. Grab the wife, the kids, your Mom, your Grandma and whoever else you can think of, load them in the car and get there before another second slips by.“

“Dao is great for hibachi in Buffalo! It's my go to place for a hibachi dinner. They serve you so much food, you will take leftovers home for sure. With a hibachi dinner you get miso soup, salad, rice AND noodle, vegetables and a choice of meat. Usually I order the chicken. Everything is always delicious. The cooks at the hibachi grill are entertaining and serve your food quickly. The prices are also great for all of the food you get. It's always a great time!“

“I was here to experience the eclipse ice cream. It is chocolate ice cream mixed with orange sherbet. The orange sherbet is nicely refreshing; the chocolate, is good, but not as rich as I hoped it would be. Perhaps a dark chocolate ice cream? My serving was fine. A single scoop is reasonable priced. It is a very small ice cream shop, with only four small tables.“

“Went for the first time last week and the food was delicious. But I was especially impressed with the fact that they used coffee ice cubes in my iced coffee! I do this myself at home but have never been out to a restaurant that does it! Means as the ice cubes melt the coffee doesn't get diluted with water, because the ice cubes are just more coffee! Fantastic.“

“I need you to stop what you're doing and go to blackbird. Everything I've had from there is delicious!! The funfetti cookies, soft, chewy and flavorful. The chocolate cookies in the "build your own cookie sandwich", delicious and such a cute idea. All of their cupcake the vanilla, the blackbird, the peanut butter, the red velvet are some of the best cupcakes I've ever had in my life and I eat A LOT of cupcakes. “very good for what it is. great spot for takeout lunch. the lunch portion red curry with chicken was under $11 after tax, huge, and came with soup. the "hot" spice level on the red curry was very manageable but still had a decent kick. I personally could have gone for a little more heat, but hey, this is Depew we're talking about, so I get it.“

“If you're looking for slightly elevated American Chinese food (with a couple of Thai options), this place is right up there with Red Pepper in Amherst as one of the best take-out spots in the suburbs.We don't eat meat so I can't speak to those dishes, but the General Tso Tofu and vegetarian fried rice and lo mein are all excellent. No weird yellow dye fried rice here, it's all very fresh.There is also a small discount for cash orders so I always stop at the ATM before picking up my order. The prices are slightly higher than some Chinese take out but the difference in quality is well worth it.This is the only place I'll order Chinese take-out from (and you can order online).Vegetarian options: Vegetable Fried Rice, Vegetable Lo Mein, Curry Tofu, General Tso Tofu, Sesame Tofu, Eggplant“

“Food was good and reasonably price. The service was excellent. If I had to criticize anything, the calamari was just a touch over cooked. Monstrous portion of it though it it had excellent flavor. Arancini were large and very good. I had the chicken marsala and it was cooked perfectly. Sauce was very flavorful with a ton of mushrooms. Pleased with the experience. I would go back.“

“I can’t say enough about how great our experience was ordering from Fig Tree Patisserie. My kids both have food allergies, and we wanted something special that they could both eat to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We ordered a cake and cupcakes that were dairy, egg, and soy free and they were INCREDIBLE. Not only did they taste amazing, but they were so beautiful and personalized to fit the rainbow theme. “This was my first time at Ted's. I brought 9 of my family members as well. The staff was great. Fast and attentive with our order. I couldn't have asked for better. The food was fantastic!
