“This restaurant is a local GEM! Never disappointed with anything we have ordered in over 6 years. The menu has something for everyone, whether you are looking for a traditional Chinese meal, an American style Chinese meal or Japanese items. We have tried them all, but LOVE creating our own Chinese/Japanese tapas style meal followed by sharing a single entree. Standouts are the wonton soup, rice paper shrimp roll, Kani salad, sushi and many inventive, delicious dumplings (dim sum).“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

His attention to detail was incredible throughout the meal. When we ordered the stir-fried water spinach and shredded potatoes, he remembered that the potato dish usually includes dried spicy peppers. Knowing I cannot handle spicy food, he proactively double-checked to ensure the peppers were left out.

“Been here a few times. Best skewer place in this area or matter of fact anywhere near here outside of Flushing. Food is always fresh and good and service is great. The 2+1 specials on the drinks with soju and beer is awesome. The place looks very clean and new. Very roomy as well where you’re not crowded with other customers and AC works great during hot weather.

This trip we had the pig head salad along with assortment of skewers. All amazing. The meat with salad was so refreshing.

They also gave us this entire dish of crabs for $1!!! It was so good as well.“

“As a person who grew up in Hunan, China which loves rice noodles either with soup or dry stirred. They have decent rice noodles and great flavors. They also let you customize your own taste with spices, chilli oil, sour string beans and more stuff you can add yourself which give the customer lots of freedom while adjusting a flavor that they will like the most. “Located in front of Paris Baguette, the BBQ truck has some of the best skewers I've ever tried. They transport you to the heart of Xinjiang with its local flavors, grilled in front of you. My two favorites were the lamb and beef skewers, and the chicken skewers were also very delicious.“

I stumbled upon this wonderful little Taiwanese noodle shop, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The place is small and cozy, but exceptionally clean—making it the absolute go-to spot for a quick, hassle-free dinner after a long workday when you don’t feel like cooking.
Pork chop with rice—literally the pork cutlet is huge-bigger than your face! It’s thick, incredibly crispy, and juicy, pairing amazingly well with the fragrant rice.
Tomato beef noodle soup- the broth has this perfect sweet-and-tangy flavor, the beef melts in your mouth, and the noodles have a fantastic, chewy texture. Delicious! 😋

The photo in this review is fried mochi with ice-cream. It was alright, reminded me of brown sugar rice cake. The only drawback from this place is that, even though this is a fish restaurant, there's only one fish soup item on the menu. I've been to other fish soup restaurants and they have multiple fish soup options as well as additional add-ons you can add to customize your soup.“

“I didn't know about this spot, but I stumbled upon it and was blown away. It's super cozy, the service was great, and the food was amazing. We got the Braised Pork with preserved greens, the meat was so tender and the flavor was rich and so well-seasoned. Then, the minced pork with sour cowpeas (no photos of this one) also super good, the beans have a bitter note that add something unique to this dish. And finally, the chilled beancurd skin with cucumbers super refreshing. Definitely one of my new favorites in Flushing or all of NYC“
