“Naughter’s is THE breakfast place you want to go to while in Troy (as someone who inherently doesn’t scream about brekkie spots).
The goat cheese omelette special came to me and oh did it sing. I added bacon, because life’s short and why not. An arugula side salad accompanied and was everything. I will be coming back for the spice bag one day. Thank the heavens for local establishments like this.“

“My wife and I have been there several times and are always impressed with both the quality & quantity of food. I love Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan (and have become very particular with both). I find theirs to be on par and possibly even better than my long time favorite, Karavalli’s in Saratoga! Last night we tried their Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza and it was amazing! the crust is like a thick naan and topped with their tikka masala sauce (sooo good), Carmelized used onions lots of cheese and what I believe was tandoori chicken and comes with extra sauce for dipping. Our server was also very outgoing and suggested their rice pudding which was freshly made. I normally don’t like Indian Rice pudding as most places make it thin and runny, but theirs was thick, creamy and delicious! located in East Greenbush, it’s totally worth the drive!!! Please give them a try, especially since so many restaurants have suffered due to the pandemic. This place deserves your business if you like quality Indian food at reasonable prices.“

Don’t miss scallion pancake, fried pot stickers, chicken satay with peanut sauce, tom kha soup, drunken noodles, basil fried rice ... we were stuffed to the gills, but then we saw the dessert menu. “OMG, just thinking about the food here makes my mouth water. Today I was blessed enough to have the BBQ quesadilla with a side of fries. I have to say the way the pulled pork, banana peppers and cheese, topped with a wonderful BBQ sauce in a crisp quesadilla blended together in my mouth was blissful. Now, I know what you are thinking with the side of fries, how ordinary, but no, these are nicely seasoned, cooked to perfection french fries and a lot of them. So please don't ruin them with ketchup. “Absolutely wonderful experience! I took 12 employees out to celebrate the holiday season and see a show in Albany. From the time we called for a reservation, right through dinner, the entire staff, and especially our server Casey were so welcoming and accommodating. The drinks, food, and service were all superb! Casey made us feel like we were the only thing that mattered in the restaurant, while the kitchen and bar handled some special requests with ease! In a world where the meaning of hospitality seems to have been forgotten by so many, this restaurant still knows what it means, and executes flawlessly. “I’ve been looking forward to checking out the restaurant, Dove & Deer, since I first encountered their food when their chef was highlighted at the annual Summer Gala fundraiser here in Hudson last year. Their chef served an incredible amuse-bouche with gooseberries and the chef who was there sharing the amuse-bouches was wonderfully charming and the food was incredible! I was so impressed that I’ve been following their social media since then and have been looking forward to visiting the restaurant all the while! I was recently in the area and while I unfortunately wasn’t able to visit the restaurant in person- I was able to order through Door Dash and the meal was incredible! We ordered an assortment of things to share and were thrilled with everything! -Spicy Kale Caesar with shredded kale, croutons, and shaved parmesan! -Truffle Parm Fries with scallions and truffle aioli! -Mini Wagyu Beef Hotdogs made with wagyu beef, served in buttery toasted buns, and topped with mustard, ketchup, and relish! -Hot Lobster Dip made with lobster claw and knuckle meat, gruyere, gouda, fontina, spinach, scallion, and crispy wontons! It is often very difficult for a restaurant to adjust their menu to translate to takeout; and for them to do so where every single dish was not only delicious but also mostly with a great presentation, says a great deal about their attention to detail. This is a restaurant I look forward to dining at again many more times over the years!“

“The food was delicious! It’s a casual sit-down eatery with a relaxed atmosphere. They don’t serve alcohol, which is worth knowing ahead of time.

We had the spicy dumplings and the spicy Mala beef noodle soup. The soup came with lightly cubed and fried tofu, tofu sheets, crunchy mushrooms, bean sprouts, lean and tender pieces of beef, and fresh ramen noodles in a very spicy, flavorful broth. The portion was generous—one bowl was big enough for two adults to share. The noodles tasted especially fresh and had just the right amount of chew.

The spicy dumplings were delicious as well. I even took some of the ramen noodles from the soup and dipped them into the spicy chili oil from the dumplings, which was very tasty.

For dessert, we tried the Portuguese custard tarts. They were OK, but I’d still recommend trying them. They’re not super sweet and lean a little more savory—think toasted, buttery croissant.

For two people, the bill came to about $48, including a can of Sprite, a can of seltzer, and tax. I tipped $20 on top of that. Service was pretty good overall.

Their fried rice is pretty good too, taste like they made it of the hibachi. Huts different from the fried rice at other restaurants and take places.“
