“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. The Owner came around greeting everyone and made us feel like we were all family having dinner together. I am looking forward to my next visit.“

We have frequented this joint over the years, both sit down and take-out (getting babysitters can be tough sometimes) and the owner obviously knows how to run a respectable and vibrant establishment. Last night featured around 7 oyster varieties from Long Island to PEIs, Pebble Beach, Massachusetts etc. We always like to ask our server (Rebecca was the absolute best), which ones stand out and she stated the Pink Moons. We proceeded to order two dozen total, sprinkling in all the varieties. It is heaven on earth here and when they deliver your trays, the convo immediately goes to whether it’s Mignonette or tartar and how much of a lemon squeeze. The absolute best. I told her if ‘Catch’ ever holds an Oyster eating competition , I want to enter…..and win!Our drinks were done to perfection. Filthy martini done perfect (stuffed olives amazing) for wife and Margs for me. We made sure to compliment the bartender.We shared the Soft Shell Crab sandwich for our entree. The taste brings us back to our Italian heritage growing up as kids. They even sprinkled bacon bits to go along w the regulars. Did not affect the taste one bit. Over the years we’ve had their soups, apps, fish dishes etc and I’m telling you, we eat all types of seafood and this place does it right.We highly recommend popping in here. “The food was very good and fresh!!! . They gave a good amount of food for the money. Was so affordable. Customer service was amazing and they were very quick with preparation. “This place is small and mighty! Took my Mom in for a seafood lunch after finding Island Fish online nearby my work. The food was absolutely delicious. Mom ordered the lobster bisque which tasted just right, and a steamed lobster. which was delicious. I got a fisherman's platter which was spot on. I think the best part was Donna and Johnny took such good care of us as customers. So kind and fun to talk to. They treated us like family. Johnny was making soups at the time, and gave us some taste tests, and his soups are FANTASTIC. We tasted his she crab soup, the Lobster bisque and the shrimp corn chowder. All were perfectly seasoned and tasty. Order the soup.The whole shop is full of ready made seafood take home treats like crab cakes and seafood salads, and they have frozen crab legs and scallops too. “We have a tradition of coming here for st pattys day because my hubby does not eat red meat. He always getfs his turkey burger and is happy. I was estatic to see fried pickles on the menu. “Seating area has shade, but not much elsewhere. Food is somewhat pricey given the fact that it's on the beach. Outdoor bar. You can only drink in the designated areas because of New York State laws. Excellent for laying on the beach and watching sunsets (Note: Long Island North Shore is somewhat rocky).Another side note: Last time I was here the bar area, they had somewhat of a bee issue. Apparently they've discovered that there are sugars and protein to be had, so they come around. No one was stung last I saw.“

“This restaurant is right at the marina, 15 to 20 minutes from my home, and I never heard of it until a friend suggested checking it out. Needless to say, the food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere was great. There was live band playing and singing. We didn't have to wait very long for our appetizers and food. Well, in our case, more people showed up than were originally expected. The staff at Trio didn't miss a beat. They set up additional tables in a flash and quickly had the tables set. Then for appetizer had the crab cakes, loaded with crab topped with Aioli sauce, best I’ve ever had. Then had the fillet mignon with lobster tail, fillet had a good amount of gristle in the middle that I had to work around, other than that it was very good. Lobster tail was presented and seasoned very well in some sort of marinated butter, wine and garlic which I thought was top notch of flavor and tenderness. Came with the mash potatoes another good choice some of the best made. I can’t forget their delicious homemade multi grain bread which was very good. For last desert opted for the Crème Brûlée topped off with fresh made whipped cream, awesome. “We were looking for a Seafood dinner to be delivered via DoorDash yesterday. This is our first time having a meal from Harbor Crab Company. My husband and I are absolutely blown over. The food was beyond delicious! We both had the Grouper Entree. I also ordered Mahi Mahi Tacos as an appetizer, but the dinner was sufficient, so we had the tacos tonight. They were also Amazing! Wow! “The new location on Main St where the old Harbor Square Mall was is perfect! Service was excellent. Great food and a lot for the price. Oysters were good although kind of nondescript in flavor. Fried calamari was flavorful and not greasy. Seafood paella was delicious with enough rice to feed three people! Mahi Mahi fish was seasoned perfectly. Drinks good and came in mason jars! Dessert menu was great. Shared vanilla cheesecake with my husband. It's better than what it used to be. Very clean and nice decor. We will be going back!“

“We went camping here over Labor Day weekend. Our camping game is high (meaning we have lots of gear to make it super comfy), but trying to limit our equipment knowing that we have to carry everything from the ferry to the campsite was stressful. But we did it, and it was 100% worth it! Here is what we learned:It is buggy!! Bring Picaridin spray for the body. We had 2-6 oz cans between 5 people, and we used them both for the 5 day weekend. Spray tents with Sawyer insect repellent to keep the bugs away from the tents.If you have, bring a cart. It is quite a hike with your gear from ferry to campsite, and in the heat is it's not fun. You can borrow carts from the ferry station area. Ask the staff.Bring bungee chords to keep all your equipment in place on the cartsThere is camp store with all necessary supplies, but it is expensive. If you can organize and bring everything from mainland, it will be cheaper.There is boardwalk everywhere. Unless you are wilderness camping on the beach, you won't have to drag anything through sand (phew!!)Choosing a campsite: The map on the reserve america is not clear. Some campsites are two in an alcove area. If you are a group of two sites, you need to pick correctly. Site 10 is solo site. 11/12, 9/8, 7/6 are alcove, the others are in row next to each other. Unlike other campgrounds we have been to, these sites are on the smaller side. In our 11/12 site we luckily picked an alcove area, we had two sleeping tents and bug tent.There is a restaurant at the marina which becomes a disco on the weekend. The food is pretty good, cocktails are not bad!Beach is walking distance from the tents with a lifeguardLots of birds, and very chatty gray catbirds (bring ear plugs! I kid you not! One was right outside our tent at 5 am!!)It seems that a lot of families come back every year on the same weekend, and it felt like close community.National Parks have lots of activities during the day. On Monday they had a canoeing trip. You had to sign up the day of the trip to get a spot.Highly recommend, and we will make it an annual trip!I am not sure the glamping sites are worth the price but we have all camping gear. I can't speak of their comfort.“

A must try item here is the spinach and artichoke dip with crab in it. This was by far better than any other dip of this kind in the area. It was a good portion and with other appetizers it could have been a meal. They have both valet parking and there is a lot of for parking.“
