“100% SOLD ALL. THE. TIME. This is my go-to spot when I want to have something a little special and the price point fits within my budget. No matter the dish, it always hits the spot and I'm always pleased that I'm paying for a dish that isn't outrageous compared to other restaurants in the area that are serving similar items. I also appreciate the service - everyone is friendly ans offers great suggestions. Specials are always worth visiting again and again. GO!!“
“The food was awesone!!! And the chef was super friendly. I have eaten the Salmon, fried whiting, string beans, Mac and cheese and corn bread. All were favorful and delicious. The potato salad was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. The hubby had the ox tails and turkey wings and he was more than please! The food is definetly cooked with love! The strawberry mango lemonade ( with alcohol) was on point and one definitely had me feeling very nice! Please take the time to check out this establishment.“
“Just checked this place out for brunch and The service was amazing Kenisha our waitress was amazing super personality. The food was great shrimp tacos were amazing the owner is also very personable. The hospitality feels like your home with your family the rum punch was superb just like back in Jamaica very fresh overall great first time experience if your thinking of checking it out don’t think twice Go!“
“The closest you will get to Dominican food without being in Dominican Republic. The sangria is also extremely strong, which is an amazing thing. Absolutely love this place, strongly recommend everything on the menu especially the rotisserie chicken, best chicken ever, my go-to spot every time I cross the GWB. 5/5“
“Patrick’s Place is a nice little date night spot. It’s super small so it can feel cramped BUT the entertainment and service completely make up for the limited space. It definitely more of an intimate setting. I didn’t have the pleasure of trying the food but the drinks were great. The rum punch was authentic and you could taste the Wray and nephew, need I say more? The Jazz players and singer were really good. I would definitely come back and try the food next time. Parking is a little difficult as it’s Harlem and on the main road so just keep that in mind. There is also a $20 pp minimum“
“Went here for dinner midweek. Food was excellent. Great apps including empanadas. The beef one was exceptional. Also had a salmon crudo app which was on special. Many specials at this place. Fish is a specialty I went with halibut which came with an awesome leek based sauce. My friend had a steak and it came with an awesome sauce too. Desert was a banana bread pudding in a sugary sauce again. This place has sauce!! Service nice and friendly quite attentive. Place is big with a nice seating area downstairs as well as a private room highly recommended go check it out.“
“Had chef’s fried chicken, fried rice and cabbage all of which were tasty, precise in seasoning and dining in for lunch was relaxing to jams. They had their own homemade juices. Pineapple ginger lime was deliciously smooth, not overtly sweet, just right. The spread available was well presented and looked tasty. Can’t wait to return.“
“I’ve *always* and will forever love this place and the staff there. Many years ago, my friend Jon and I went for lunch and not only was the food so delicious and comforting, we were given a free drink and lovely vibes. Today, I went back and he remembered me and gave me a hug and I bought a couple of things with elemental gold in it as well as sea moss and it just felt so right to go in and revisit the place. There are some other occasions like events that I went to there and it’s always fun and the food ?? I was offered a treat on the house but I was quite full, but it was really nice to be treated like I was a welcome guest and so for this, always 5 stars!“
“I find myself loving this place more and more, not only is the food great but the owners are AMAZING!!! It’s black owned, and the love they put in their food just keeps me coming back everytime I’ve had to come to Harlem. The fried foods are made fresh to order which is what you would hope for, and everything else is on point. Exactly what I be hoping for when I crave soul food. Must try!!“
“Kingston Bakery has been my spot for beef patties since they’ve opened and I’m never disappointed. It wasn’t until I tried the actual entrees that I was completely hooked. The oxtails are so good and the stewed chicken is absolutely bussin!! If you haven’t stopped by now I’d the time and the portions are great too.“
“Don't let these 4 stars deceive youI would give 5 stars if the portions were larger for the prices charged. But other that that...The food is AWESOME! The drinks are AWESOME! The service is AWESOME!If you have not visited yet, I suggest you do so! I had BBQ wings for a starter and the pick two and the rum punch for my entree. Food was so good, I had to take home a curried chicken and stewed chicken ??due to them being closed on Mondays...Parking: Metered parking as well as a paid parking garage in and around the vicinity of the restaurant. There is a CVS parking lot across the the street from this place, but that is a risky chance!“
“Usually when you go to a Jamaican resturant the staff treat you like they don’t want you there, maybe because they don’t want to be there themselves. This is NOT the case at Cravin!!! The Energy is Always Pure & Positive, The Staff Greets you when you walk in, they talk to you, make jokes, etc. Sometimes my whole mood changes just from going there. THEN, theres the Food…Freakin Amazing, & It’s Consistant!! What you get on Monday is the Samething you gon get on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, etc. I’m There At Least Once or a Week ( most times more than that), it’s to the point where they know what I want lol. S/O to Victoria, holds it down everytime. If you havent been, GO!!! Everything is A1!!! Tell Em Ali The Greatest sent you.“
“The food is so delicious and the cornbread omg!!!!it is to die for drinks is the boom i highly recommend. the worker's are so friendly and diligent and I can not forget the man that always make sure you're always welcome as he personally greets you ❤“
“This restaurant is popping with their stew peas and rice.. when in the Bronx I stop by and pick up a plate.. it’s very good and Munchie is very personable and offer good service.. I just love their stew peas which was referred to me by a friend years ago??❤️“
“Living in the neighborhood we always get quick delivery once the food is ordered on the phone. In my pictures its the $12 Beef Stew Plate featuring yellow rice, beef stew in gravy sauce w/ potatoes and a cup on the side with red beans. Myself and my 14 year old young man always splits this $12 plate as you can see in the video. Delicious“
“When I say AMAZING!! Rachel greeted us at the door . We came for happy hour. She was so sweet and an excellent server. The food was sooo good . And them drinks were strong but tasty. All of the staff were so pleasant and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We drove over an hour to come and we will def be back ! Thank you Rachel ! Thank you CZEN !Vegetarian options: I had the bang bang cauliflowers and the Mongolian mushrooms. So deliciousParking: Paid parking right on the street and it’s free after 6“
“I cross the freakin bridge from NJ to go here... Regularly. They are better than the spots around me in North Jersey.1. There are super nice people working here and explain the dishes to you if you're not Jamaican and unfamiliar with the cuisine.2. Their portions for the price are easily 2x the places in north jersey.3. Their food is just better tasting than the other spots I've tried. The oxtail... Succulent and falling off the bone. The Jerk Chicken... Seasoned all the way down the bone and just heavenly. You will not be disappointed if you stop in here, 100% worth the stop.“
“I ordered ackee which was Served with yam, bananas, dumplings, perfectly done. Very very, very tasty. Excellent..The chicken soup As well. This whole meal was very well done. No problems at all THE AE and the sol Fish very tasty. The soup had a combination of vegetables as well as great seasoning freshly done excellent the best I have tasted in this Rockland County well done indeed..I certainly will be ordering from this restaurant in the future.“
“Best oxtail rotis hand down. Cash only and they do not deliver using any apps. The walk there makes me appreciate every darn bite. The place is small itself and they can probably only handle 3 peoples orders, orders tend to be large but the owner is attentive. Family owned too, wish I lived a bit closer but my wallet thanks me I'm sure.“
“The chicken with spicy guava was tasty a little to sweet ? I was looking for garlic on my testones. The kids enjoyed the chicken fingers though. And the cocktaiks were delish. I'll visit againOh, i had the shrimp in red sauce yummy, the beans n rice were good. The service was okay a little scattered and a little long on some things but okay“
“So this is a must stop by must try and go back again and again it’s like your mamas /grandma cooking food is absolutely delicious seasoned to perfection real yard style my favorite the salmon or jerk chicken rice and peas finger licking presentation restaurant set up was on point as well and customer service was warm what you waiting for your taste buds will thank you pull up .“
“I think Mya's Bar & Kitchen is an underrated spot. The food and service have not disappointed me yet and the space is an overall vibe. I've gone here several times and whether it's the honey shrimp, oxtail tacos, mac and cheese as well as sorrel drinks...Mya's Bar & Kitchen brings me joy. It's a well needed spot to the neighborhood and I hope more people come out to support this place. I don't want to see it go.“
“So I was excited to find Ghanaian food in walking distance. I ordered the Waakye combo and I was not happy at all. Goat was tuff and fish was dry. Couldn't eat it. Feeling disappointed and angry. I also ordered a second plate, the fried rice chicken combo. I started to not eat it after the first plate but when I did WOW! Redemption! Everything was perfect and the flavor was amazing.I say this with love. If it is not right don't serve it. Yes I wanted Ghanaian food but I also wanted to support the business. Win brother by doing it right with all off the food. You got this ?.“
“Good food. I ordered the Jerk Chicken with Mac and Cheese, solid. If all you care about is the food in relation to the price you pay, it is definitely a strong option. For a little more, you can get better quality food and service at Miss Mamies only half a block away tho..“
“The only reason I give it 5 STAR b/c of The food is so amazing that I come all the way from Brooklyn at least couple days out the month!!!! As for the the staff some are unfriendly n bad attitude but that don’t stop me from coming back…KUDOS to the CHEF??“
“Don’t let the long line turn you away, this place is the real deal, they do the hustle and the line moves very quickly. The food is authentic and out of this world delicious. I’ll be smiling for days knowing you’re right across the street from where we are staying. Jamrock Jerk: Thanks for giving this island gyull a taste of home. You guys and gals rock! OneLove.“
“Jerk steak is the best! Great service and ambiance is on point. The codfish egg rolls are THE BEST!! (Last time I was there, about a month ago, they no longer sell them ) You should still check them out. Oh and it cash only so go to the bank first.“
“The best West Indian food in the Bronx in my opinion.Everything is cooked and seasoned well, can order anything off the menu and it will taste good.It is reasonably priced, customer service is great, there is a reason it has been a neighborhood staple for so long.“
“Went there a few weeks ago, close to closing time, off of the strength of a friend who was raving about it and I will say: it did NOT dissappear. The oxtails, which I went there for and pepper shrimp were bussing! The prices were surprisingly very reasonable as well and server was very pleasant and helpful. Will def be back!“
“While searching for something different for dinner, came across D'Bay and realized that Jerk Chicken would really hit the spot. The reviews were good but had some questions about sides etc so I called the restaurant. The gentleman who picked up answered my questions and I really enjoyed talking with him. He told me what he had available (plenty of Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork, almost out of curry goat, enough for a small serving) and I placed my order with him. I drove over with my daughter, found there were two municipal lots on either end of the block he was on, so parking was easy. Ended up getting a large Jerk Chicken and a large Jerk Pork, both with rice n peas and mixed veg/cabbage and a small curry goat, with rice n peas and mix veg/cabbage. All the dishes also came with plantain. We also got a homemade sorrel juice, a homemade peach mango juice and two muffins (banana and carrot). The food was waiting there for us and the owner (the guy I spoke to on the phone) provided great customer service with a smile. I paid with cash ($58 for everything) and told him we would see him soon. The food was really tasty, with the large orders having enough for two meals. The banana muffin was good but the carrot muffin was really amazing. Overall a very good experience and we will definitely be back there again for more very tasty food. The two pics are Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork. We started eating before I could remember to take pics, so note that the dishes do come with more food in them. Sorry I could not post the curry goat but my daughter finished it off before I could get a picture.“
“A must go on Gun Hill Road for Jerk Chicken. I was not disappointed, very favorable and tasty. Some place say they are great a jerk chicken but are not, but this is well done and very friendly staff. I came at closing by accident and the associate stopped me from leaving and just simply asked what was I planning on getting and further told me to wait and got my order taken care off.The location has outside eating and inside standing. It’s at the corner, and near a bus lane, so watch out where you park, but there is a lot of areas to park.Food was so good, it’s not my late night spot for Rice and Peas, and Jerk Chicken.I like the aesthetic and color tone. They could do a better job advertising the menu, and display of food, but overall I had a good experience and treated very well. If you don’t believe me, go and buy a nice small or medium jerk chicken and rice and peas.“
“I recently dined at this fantastic Dominican restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations! The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, making the dining experience truly delightful. The service was exceptionally fast, ensuring I didn't have to wait long to savor the incredible flavors. The portions were not only amazing but also generously large, providing excellent value for money. I highly recommend trying the mofongo with chicken and the whole rotisserie chicken – both dishes were absolute highlights. What's even more impressive is that all these fantastic qualities come at affordable prices. A five-star gem that I'll be returning to for more culinary delights!“
“Being an older Hispanic woman I don’t really eat outside. I was raised to eat at home. I walked by and was given a flyer by the owners daughter. I came back later on and decided to try. I tried the oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage. The food was rich in flavor . The service was exceptional and the owner was very friendly. I will definitely be returning.“
“I LOVE this restaurant. I think its the Best Trini Spot in the Bronx. as far as Caribbean restaurants... I prefer them over Lash. Its Family owned, and the son is the cook...the food is always Good!! and the employees are polite. the Elderly father is the star with humor and personality. He provides conversation and always humorous personality. I love the fact that they have treats and other goods that are Caribbean, it gives me a taste of my childhood. They have no problem adding extra sauce when asked!! lolRun don't walk to Jenny's!!“
“Let me start by saying the place is amazing. love the overall vibe here at Casa Fuego great for any occasion. To start my girlfriend and I ordered the housemade empanadas we chose the chicken option it was so flavorful, and the cilantro aioli was a perfect match for the dish. For our drinks, My GF ordered the Fresa Paloma And I ordered the coco loco mojito. I recommend these drinks big time. Now for our entrée, my GF ordered Mofongo & Camarones and I ordered the Pernil. These dishes were flavorful. probably the best I had around Yonkers in my opinion. And now for our dessert, we ordered the Tres leches cake. It was just "ok" in my opinion. It tasted icy if I was to say maybe being In the fridge for too long??? Other than that This place was amazing.... Must try if you haven't been yet. Oh sorry, I forgot to mention the service here. The service was amazing the staff was very friendly and welcoming Franco waited on us he was the best. Great job to all who work there keep it up.“
“From the phone call to in person. The team was amazing, we drove from Long Island, NY to celebrate my Auntie 77th birthday celebration on Saturday. Crystal( I hope I spelled it correctly) was FANASTIC. She was so accommodating and pleasant with my family. Overall, the food was great too! We had a good time, we will def take the drive next time for another occasion.THANK YOU SO MUCH, Tanya/ Tania.“
“I enjoy driving long distances to try new food places specially family owned and I'm so glad I came across this hidden gem. I've been trying to find a good Jamaican food spot and I believe I finally found it. The quality of food was really good, fresh and delicious. The Mango Carrot juice I tried is so refreshing and reminds me of my childhood. The woman upfront was super helpful and explained everything that was available. The place is small but those are the best places, it's nice to get your food and take it to go. I will be coming back, Thanks!“
“Photographer was an absolute bonus to being in the house. He was friendly and professional. Our servers were on point and all the food was delicious. I know because I was the birthday girl so I tasted everyone’s meals that was different from mines. Definitely will return.“
“Hands ✋? ?? DOWN the BEST Jamaican food in the Bronx! Small in size, colossal flavors though, great selections, excellent customer service, and incredibly tasty food. The portions are insane in comparison to quantity, well beyond worth the money. Small plates to catered trays, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They're cooking on the premises, and it's magic ✨️ ?? Gotta be.. Pictured is a medium Whiting meal ??$14 ... a medium!“
“I’ve been to Krave a few times now, and the food is always amazing! My favorites are the pepper shrimp, the codfish cakes, and the Rasta pasta (which I didn’t get this time) their oxtail and Mac & cheese is also pretty good. The ambiance and vibe in there is very nice, the decor is beautiful, and the service was warm & friendly! Would highly recommend dining in over take out. I ordered a couple times from UberEats and the food quality is drastically different.“
“If you work in or around the Bronx courthouses, this is where you should be eating. There's really nothing else that compares in terms of quality, value, and service. Great food, great people, and a great big line; for a reason!I recommend: the menu in its entirety.“
“We went here for my birthday February 2020!!! The food, drinks and staff were AMAZING!!! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back! The oxtail, rice and peas, Mac and cheese...even the side salad and plaintains were PERFECTION. The customer service made us feel like we were at a resort restaurant in Jamaica, they made us feel like royalty.“
“This is a great place to eat. Vendors are friendly and food is really good. The j*** chicken was my favorite (really hot, yes!) and the rice is soft, well cooked. They also have a variety of salad mix. The potato salad was really good. I'm not a fish eater but even the seafood smell good. Price is reasonable, I think it's 9$ a pound but less money if the weight is less. It's definitely worth it.Vegetarian options: They have a variety of mixes for salad.“
“I rarely get take out food or even go inside fast food spots so I'm glad to have a healthy take out option in my hood. Any kind of natural herb or vitamin or natural supplement or what ever health item(s) you're looking for these beautiful people have it. If you so happen to need any tips or advice on health, these people got you. Cool Vibe Uptown on Nereid . Just thought I'd put y'all on. I recommend the Jerk Plantain Patty . That joint something special #Support #YourOwn“
“We went with about a party of 15 and they accommodated us all in a good area to enjoy each other's company. The food was amazingly delicious, and they served a nice portion. The service was great. They were quick in getting our food and drinks on the table. I was very amazed and happy to have joined everyone at this event here at Triple Deuce. Forgot to mention that they have a live DJ on the premises, and the music was great.“
“Awesome experience!! Bartenders are amazing! I fell in love with the pepper shrimp lol.. I love this place so much I’m throwing my birthday party here.. my birthday party is coming up with them and Julie has been so professional and so amazing!! 5 star experience!!“
“I just would like to say I love this restaurant so much everything is always so flavorful and worth the money. To anyone who reads any negative reviews about the owner PLEASE do not listen to that. He is a kind man and I see a few reviews of people saying he’s rude and miserable and that is Not true at all. Wonderful food and service. I will be back with my food pics ?“
“Absolutely the one-and-only stop for authentic Jamaican patties! Flaky, golden brown and bursting with flavor, this independent shop makes everything fresh daily and efficiently serves customers who regularly line-up out the door. Vegetarian and meat options provide lots of choices and are always excellent.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available!Kid-friendliness: Kids love Jamaican patties!“
“My first time in mount vernon NY. The Steam House was amazing. Our party of 8 were the only people in the place at the time. It felt like we had a private party. Attention to customer service was great and the food was even better. Highly “
“Amazing restaurant and bar! I was here on a Friday night celebrating a relatives birthday. The dj was on point, the bartender was nice and overall the staff was good. The food and rum punch was amazing and on point! I felt like I was back home in Jamaica eating the fish - full of flavor. I’ll definitely be back in the future.“
