“I took my family to la riserva last week. We had an amazing dinner. My girls loved the pasta fagioli!!! They also enjoyed their meals; pasta with marinara and the chicken parmigiana with green beans. My husband and I equally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. Our waitress was knowledgeable and everything came out in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend la riserva to my friends.“

“Reno’s is a hidden gem in Yonkers. We recently celebrated my mother in law’s 90th there with about 30 plus people and we couldn’t have had a better day. One slice is plenty for a one-person lunch. It was quick service, too, in a casual environment with a good number of tables and chairs inside to enjoy it. “My last visit to Elsa La Reina del Chicharrón was nothing short of amazing. Elsa truly lives up to her name the queen of chicharrón! perfectly seasoned pork, and the flavor doesn’t disappoint. “This was my first visit. I was not there for dinner, I visited after dinner time. I went to get something to have for lunch the next day. I ordered the Egg Foo Young, it was EXCELLENT. Believe it or not the food was great the next day. So, just imagine how good it would have been pipping hot the same night. “The gentleman working the counter moved quickly and efficiently, while being friendly and listening to my order. I also love that he did not skimp on the portions (unlike chipotle where they are so cheap and I have to request they scoop a little more, and then they seem bothered) which is very helpful as I also ordered for my 2 growing sons (who eat a lot), and we all left full and satisfied. Unfortunately there are not many Qdoba locations in NYC, but this one definitely lives up to the standards and food I’ve eaten at other locations outside of the city and I will be returning.“

“My goto for Chinese and Japanese take out in Throggs Neck. Their food, drinks and noodles with duck sauce reminds me of the old Hawaii Sea on Tremont. I always order from them and I am never disappointed. But this review is not for the great food but for them going above and beyond to please a customer. A friend of mine caught a fresh yellow fin tuna and I wanted to make my own sushi. They sold me their sushi rice which is awesome and included all the condiments I needed to make the meal with my family a success. I also purchased some shumai cuz theirs are the bomb. Thanks to the awesome staff for helping me make it all possible and suggesting what saki from the liquor store next door to make my authentic Japanese meal at home. Most places would be stand offish but they actually applauded me and asked me to show them pictures when I came back. So I’m gonna do one better and write this awesome review and post the pics from my meal here ❤️🫵🏼💚🐲“

“The Parrot Restaurant in Yonkers is one of the best Spanish restaurants in the area. They offer amazing family meals at unbelievable prices. Unlike others, their food is incredibly fresh. For example, even the white rice tastes like it was made the same day. The beans are very well-seasoned, and when you order the bean stew, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find carrots and potatoes—ingredients often overlooked at many Spanish restaurants.

Their empanadas are made to order, meaning they don't sit under a heat lamp; they are freshly prepared when you order them. The freshness and quality of their food are truly unmatched. Additionally, the variety of dishes they offer ensures that there is something for everyone, whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian.

All in all, this is definitely a go-to spot for good quality food at great prices. Last but not least, the staff is wonderful, including the guys who do the deliveries. Due to all the poor reviews, I hesitated ordering from them however, every time, I pass by, I see people in and out ALL THE TIME. I’m glad I decided to give them a try. This is the second time and I am LOVING them so far. Vegetables tasted very fresh and were not over cooked. The picture is chicken and garlic sauce with white rice. The egg rolls were tasty and NOT greasy AT ALL. I hope they keep it up! They are pricey but this is the way of life now. It costs a lot for these businesses to stay open. I’m willing to pay if the food and service is worth it. I’m pretty satisfied. Woman on the phone was very courteous.“
