“This was a very nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere but I would definitely recommend it for a date night. We wanted to get the burger which is very hyped but we couldn’t because they only make 12 of those per night. The rest of the food was decent but not anything amazing. We ordered a bunch of plates and got to share the dishes which is what I would recommend.“

“My fiance and I had our engagement party at The Winslow, and it was absolutely wonderful! It was the perfect location in their back room, where we had enough space and privacy but still had the atmosphere of a fun bar. Our host/waiter was extremely attentive and had such a fun personality to add to our party. We pre-ordered some food for our party which everyone loved. All in all, this was the perfect spot for our engagement party and it was everything we could have asked for. We will definitely come back for another event or just a night out for drinks. Would 100% recommend!!“

“I have been to the Raines Law Room inside The William on several occasions, and I was excited to try out this more relaxed environment. Our group's reservation placed us in a booth right next to the bar. Although we had some privacy, we had to rely on the bartender to take our orders.Even though the bar was located below the speakeasy, it was just a regular bar with cocktails on the pricey side. I suggest getting the beer and food instead. The salmon burger, regular burger, grilled cheese, and shepherd's pies were all delicious.“

“Tucked away in the city's heart, Tea and Sympathy is a charming escape that promises more than just a cup of tea. The ambiance is warmly vintage and invites you to relax and unwind. The tea selection is exceptional, catering to both connoisseurs and casual drinkers. I tried the house blend Earl Grey. They also have traditional British Teas like Barry’s and Yorkshire Gold. It's the perfect spot to slow down, savor the moment, and indulge in a cup of tea or a hearty meal. They offer traditional and vegetarian options of old English favorites, Sunday Roast, Shepard’s Pie and the fish and chips looked well done. They of course offer the British condiments to go along with the meal. For me, adding to the allure Tea and Sympathy offers vegan soups that are both flavorful and comforting. I tried the butternut squash soup which was a generous portion and delightful. Their "Absolutely Fabulous" salad truly lives up to its name, delivering a fresh and hearty salad experience. The standout feature, however, is their impeccable service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist, enhancing the overall experience. There is also a shoppe with British snack and tea favorites.Vegetarian options: Many vegan and vegetarian options of British favoritesDietary restrictions: They offer vegan soups and options.“

“Second time coming, first time coming for dinner. JWF is quickly becoming a favorite! Fantastic service, lovely ambience and lighting, not too loud or crowded but clearly popular. Food was great, as were drinks. My friend ordered a cider and I had a ginger mocktail (can't remember the name). Very well done! For food, my table got the ceviche, fish (which was massive) and chips (perfect), mushy peas (delicious, was glad I cautiously tried them), and the special pie of the day, steak and oyster pie. The pie was better than any steak pie I've had- buttery, crisp crust, a rich sauce, and a really lovely, savory filling. We were absolutely stuffed by meal's end so I ordered a sticky toffee pudding to go, which was absolutely spot on. Can't recommend this place enough.“

“Wow, first time dining and i must say my jaw is on the floor. I came here to celebrate my 4 yr anniversary with my boyfriend and the attention to detail here is over the top. The overall experience from the food, to the ambiance to the SERVICE (5 stars) i mean everything was just wonderful. Joseph, our amazing server, curated the most personalized, romantic & special anniversary for my boyfriend & i. Not only did he have AMAZING, recommendations for drinks, apps, entrees & desert, but he also took the time to get to know us and recommended dishes based on our taste. Im not a big seafood fan but Joseph recommended the butter poached lobster tail pasta... HOLY WOW!!!!! Just wow. I was a little on the fence but Joseph genuinely took the time to explain how the dish is made and explained all of the layers of flavors... ive never experienced anything like that before. Im so glad i ordered it. My boyfriend and i have been talking about how amazing our night was since the moment we left and all i can say it we will absolutely be back. I cannot wait to come back with my girls! The ambience is so romantic and fancy, and oh my god THE VIEW!! If you take away anything from this review, let it be this- make sure you request Joseph to be your server for any special occasion, i promise you he'll treat you like a life long friend & will make sure you leave with a full stomach & a smile on your face. Thank you Queensyard team for making my 4 year anniversary so special.“

The Spotted Dog British • $$
1154 1st Ave., New York

“I had mixed feelings due to some misleading early info by the day person . This individual seemed too preoccupied with discrediting their coworkers. I have to say Susan was a complete contradiction to what we heard. She was so friendly and welcoming to my party that I not only made sure to come back but also had my 56th birthday party. The place is what seems your typical dive bar but my whole party was made feel special by the bartenders remembering our names and from the moment we walked in the owner Rob was there to assist. I don’t make reviews often but this birthday was made so special by such a friendly bar and its workers on the ues. Thank you Rob, Susan and the bar back Jesus. I can’t say enough about how you made us feel.“

“Leaving this review solely based on appetizers and happy hour experience (great happy hour drink prices). The bartender is super friendly and the wine is heavily poured. The man next to me just complimented the bartender on a martini. So- apparently cocktails are worth it, too. Also, this place is very reasonable for Manhattan. I will definitely come back.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and table arrangements that are wheelchair friendly.“
