“This was my first time trying Dave’s Hot Chicken, and it definitely did not disappoint! I had the Dave’s #2 with medium spice, which was absolutely perfect. I’ve never had a chicken sandwich this good—huge compliments to the chefs!

As a pickle fan, I really appreciated the extra pickles—such a great touch. If Dave’s were to expand to more countries in Europe, I have no doubt it would be a huge success.

The only downside was that the location felt a bit messy and unclean, but given that it was during rush hour and it's a fast-food spot, it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, a fantastic experience—highly recommended!“

“Been eating here since 2010, food has stayed consistent through the years. The cooks always have a genuine attitude and respect for the food. I am often getting lamb over rice with red/white sauce, but the chicken and Falafel are always tasty as well. For an extra dollar they will toast a pita with white sauce for me with my plate, just epic!“

“I just found this gem in Harlem and let me say I am thoroughly impressed. First, the Yemeni tea is extremely good. No need to add anything. Secondly, the amount of food that you get for money is a great deal. I had #21 Aqdat Dajaj (Curry Chicken) w/Basmati Rice and a side of Naan bread (it was huge). You also receive soup and a mini salad before the actual entree. I left there stuffed and satisfied. The space is very quaint and somewhat intimate. It’s a must try!! And it’s Halal!!!

“Very good halal. The combo over rice was delicious. The chopped pita and the loyalty cards are the best parts of this place. However I do wish the pita was a bit more grilled and I wish the salad had a bit more in it and maybe some more variety in vegetables. I know that’s not standard for halal cart but I do think that is what would make this a 10/10 for me instead of 9/10. Nonetheless though very delicious and I recommend trying if you’re in the area.“

“Wow! Food is phenomenal. 10/10 quality, quantity and price. We stayed in New York for 11 nights and ate from these guys a number of times. Food served by the nicest people. Service with a smile. “Place is wonderful their Gyro is to die for a long heard work and love was put into this Service is a little times but it’s the best gyro I ever had in my life. If any extra sauce were to be put in have the green sauce it flavors things up 1000% more better.“

Super yummy and they give you extra garlic sauce and spicy sauce in sachets with cutlery when you take it away. Speedy service and big portions too. Definitely recommend a visit especially if you’re staying at the New York Hilton Midtown (as it’s right outside!)“

“My first time going was last Friday right as they opened and I must say for my first time eating a Turkish dish, I was blown away. The service was on point and efficient as well as the plating of the food. I was in love with the portions too and even the bread was just so savory. I can say I have not one complaint about this place and highly recommend it to everyone.🥰“

They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. “What a deal and it was great food. There is another Mido cart nearby that was empty (nobody ordering food), so I don’t know what’s going on there, but the food here was great. I had the lamb and chicken on rice with salad. I had white sauce and a but of barbecue sauce with red sauce on the side. For under $10 including tax, it’s one of the best deals you can get. No photos for this review because I ate all the food before I realized I hadn’t taken a photo. It’s great for a late night munch.“

“Got the chicken over rice here and wasn't expecting much but was surprised by the value and taste. The serving was more than enough for two people and the taste was good. He even put in extra sauce and salad for us. No nonsense and definitely would recommend this food truck if you're looking for halal food in SoHo.“
