“This restaurant is a real find, perfect location overlooking the Tappan Zee bridge, the service was quick and organized, the atmosphere was calm and harmonious, and about the food, everything was carefully plated in a 5-star style, and the prices are affordable, I had the lobster risotto which was by far the best seafood plate I've ever had. It was well worth the visit and I will definitely come back again. Note, don't leave without trying the Truffle Dessert it was totally amazing“

“I met a group of friends for brunch. Easy parking. Staff friendly. Located in the Hotel Nyack. The menu was terrific. They offered both lunch and a fun brunch menu. I had the burger and the fries were terrific. A short cut and perfectly fried. My husband loved the Huevos Rancheros and friends enjoyed blueberry pancakes. They had a full bar. The space was modern and the walls hung with multiple paintings (I wondered if they were local artists) there wide windows over a courtyard. Highly recommend for a casual Sunday.“

“This place is fun and bizarre in the good way. Music is good. Bartenders are fun. You feel kinda like at home. Characters showing up around friendly and fun. Sometimes live music, sometimes not. Always fun and you can write on the wall with chalks?? Nice“

“Loved my first experience here. Stopped in after shopping the town. Bartenders Tommy and Anthony were working and made incredible drinks. They were both very inviting and make you feel at home. I will be back to enjoy the atmosphere and great bartending skills.“

“Taco Thursday’s! Who doesn’t like a taco? Food is very fresh and best Mexican food around. Margaritas are made fresh with squeezed limes not a mix. One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.“

“Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!“

“Nice little Cafe for breakfast or lunch. Self service counter with limited seating. Coffee is fantastic and they do have gluten free bread for toast to go with omelets or to make sandwiches. I would be careful if you're very sensitive as I'm not sure about cross contamination.“

“Had my 65th Birthday party back in March in the back room. We had a pianist and wonderful decorations. To say it was fabulous is an understatement. David and Jill looked after every detail. “Upon entering: The atmosphere and vibe were ethereal. It felt like we were entering someone's home that was fully prepared and waiting for us to arrive. The service was immediate and friendly. The three gentlemen that attended us were patient and unassuming. Background music was lite and added to the ambiance. The physical menus were perfectly visible by the candles on the table. Using a translucent material for the menus was a nice touch! The salmon was light and airy with just the right amount of sweet honey and lemon, the contrasts danced on my tongue. The spinach and cream potatoes were an excellent healthy addition to the salmon. Based on my date devouring her plate of short ribs and sides, I can easily say her meal was also very much enjoyed. This was my first time dining at a Portuguese restaurant. Freelance Café and Wine Bar has opened my palate to everything Portuguese cuisine has to offer. Well Done!“

Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. “This is a good chain with consistent Burgers and decent Fries, but the winner is the chicken sandwich and Gluten free fried chicken and collard green wraps.
The shakes are decent but $11 .
No frills decent bar but gluten free buns are little too thick that takes away from the burger..“

If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“
