“A cozy family run cafe with welcoming and friendly staff, their food is AMAZING and cooked with so much love! You CANNOT find any other spot that can beat their prices, that’s forsure!! Their breakfast is delicious - their French toast is a must have btw- and their burgers are great as well as the wraps, food is always served hot and quickly. As for delivery, they always exceed expectations because the food is always earlier than the suggested time and the drivers are very kind and friendly! Definitely recommend visiting, you won’t regret it!! They also have the best servers - Cleo and Aly are the absolute BEST ?“

“Mike's Coffee Shop has a quintessential diner feel and you better get there early if you want to snag a booth. They serve up all the classics and none of that $14 pancakes nonsense. I focused in on the Greek Specialties section and ordered a Gyro on Pita for $7.25. It has a good amount of meat, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and tzatziki on soft pita. I could've used a squeeze of lemon on the side, but otherwise a flawless diner experience.“

“We absolutely loved Townhouse Diner! We ended up coming here almost every day during our stay in New York because it quickly felt like our home away from home.
The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always made us feel so comfortable. The food was exactly what you’d hope for from a classic New York diner—delicious, generous portions, and always satisfying. Everything we tried was great!

“Just to start this review off, a word of advice...do not order pick up via Seamless from this diner. Every time I have done this, without exception, I have had to stand and wait as my order hasn't even been started yet - and I do arrive at designated pick up time. Interestingly if you order delivery it arrives in 15 mins:) That aside, this is hands down the best diner food I have encountered. It never fails to amaze me when I see the lines outside Gramercy Diner where the food is terrible when this place is so much better!! Highly recommended, with the atmosphere and decor of a classic diner should you choose to eat in rather than take away.“

The food is exactly what you'd want it to be; we had a breakfast burrito and avocado toast with poached eggs which we perfectly cooked. Free refills on the coffee was brilliant too. We were there about 8:45 and were seated straight away, order was taken promptly and the food arrived without any real wait. Definitely recommend.“

If you’re a serious fella like myself you don’t play around with challah French toast. The challah French toast is dead serious here. Parent teacher conference serious. Spending time with the in laws serious. Grand Theft Auto serious. A top hat serious. A top hat and cane serious.

“The menu looks great the write up about the food is promising. The problem I see is with your training of your staff. That falls on the management. The management is setting up their employees to fail. Train your staff, hold yourself accountable, you as a manager is to train your staff, to your standards and expectations. If you have staff members who will not or cannot meet your expectations of doing the job, if they cannot or will not follow instructions, you need to terminate them that includes family members. It sounds harsh, I know jobs are hard to get in the Philippines. That is more of a reason to train your employees to do the job to their best.“

The service is always good. The staff are always friendly. I have never had a bad meal here - after many many times at the Metropolitan Diner.

The only negatives are the difficulty parking (welcome to Middle Village) and the sometimes long wait (but, that’s what you get when the food is superior)!“

They handled our large group with such TLC— and we aren’t an easy group!! Debra automatically spotted me in the crowded restaurant I let her know I wanted to Take my food to go. She got me a menu, came back took my order. Food didn’t take long. Whoever the lady was that took my payment was rude put my card on the counter with the slip for me to sign. She should have handed me my card. Debra made sure that I was aware my card was on the counter. She said put your card don’t forget about it. I would definitely go back for Debra’s world class service.“

Lots of famous photos on the wall..may have to see if they will hang mine up there...after all...they had a photo with a youtube dog on it.

The food is exactly what you would expect it to be, which is greasy and no frills and served with diner coffee and creamer in the little rip off containers - the delightful opposite of artisanal. The waiters are gruff. The food comes out in 6 minutes. The owner is there greeting everyone who walks in the door. This place has REGULARS, older people who are clearly here every day with their newspapers and their talking points about baseball and city life and their health ailments. It’s like time stopped here for a minute, and smartphones haven’t been invented yet, and maybe Jerry and George and his pals may waltz in from the 90s at any minute. You don’t come to places like this for a michellin meal - you come to remember what it was like when the world was slower, to sit with neighbors as they share their weekly breakfast, or to be an observer, like me, a person who isn’t from here but is so grateful that places like the Cosmic Diner still exist. Give them a visit. Take a moment to time travel.“
