“Buffet with a large variety of food sold on a pay by the pound basis. All the food is good, service always pleasant. Most go for take-out, the atmosphere is clean and utliitarian, not the place for a date but fine with a friend to chat over lunch.“

“Cute well decorated shop with seating, plants, and cold vegan food. Wish they had outlets for laptops or fresh hot food. Looks like they have liquor but they’re closed after 3pm and on weekends so that doesn’t really make sense?. Tried a horchata latte and it was very sour and difficult to drink. Man happily fixed and changed it for me. Second drink still bad.. Would not eat here again but would come back for a casual daytime date just because of the cozy ambience & Great service.“

“Love Healthy in Dyckman. It’s a gem in the Kingsbridge area where it’s possible to find good quality, healthy food. I particularly love their healthy egg wrap and chai latte. The staff is very sweet, and the place clean. The food is on the pricier side compared to the area, but it does justice to the quality. Highly recommended!“

“We celebrated an anniversary with Dinner South Bronx at Nourish last week, and the experience was flawless. The service was impeccable, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The dining room has a chic, cozy ambiance, making it a wonderful place for a date night or a special occasion. We are already planning our next visit for another fantastic meal.“

“Well what started out as "oh let's try this place" as we hunted for a new brunch spot has quickly become a fam and friends fav. This eatery is a hidden gem in the mount Haven section of the BX...who knew!? Love the rustic casual ,chill vibe & the rooftop seating on a summer day is everything. The food... fresh uncomplicated, there are halal vegan& vegetarian options. The chocolate croissant and vegan carrot cake 🥰 My personal favorite is avocado toast with turkey bacon , arugula or the goddess bowl add a great cup of coffee or Chai latte it's all delish!! To the staff are friendly and helpful. We love this eatery so much we just had my friend's son's wedding there, intimate, beautiful. A must try.“

“The atmosphere at Cafe Deux is so lovely you feel right at home with the friendliness of the staff. They’re all wonderful!!!
The chicken sandwich lunch special at Cafe Deux is amazing. I ordered the sandwich twice this week on wednesday and again on friday as it was that good !!! The chicken sandwich has a slight spice flavor but not too spicy and the garlic aioli sauce was such a great pairing with the sandwich. I really hope the chicken sandwich transitions from being a lunch special to being part of the main menu at Cafe Deux :)
Definitely ask to try any of their mixed drinks especially the lavender martini which is a great drink for the summer :)“

“Some days you just want comfort without leaving home, and today Susan’s Kitchen was exactly what I needed. I ordered delivery, and they went above and beyond with every detail. The chocolate chip cookie with walnuts is the kind of treat that instantly lifts your mood, and the omelettes were perfectly prepared and so delicious. Their thoughtfulness really shines through, and I’m so grateful for the warmth they put into their food.“

“I visited this shop a few times and really like the space and location. They make a solid expresso; the pastries aren’t bad either. The patrons and barista do not really have a warm personality, which is unfortunate, but at lease the coffee is good. Wish them much success.“

“The vibes are great, food is delicious. I honestly didn’t expect such a delicious French toast from a cafe, probably one of the best, perfectly cooked, caramelised light crunch. You don’t even need syrup or whip cream. Coffee is so good!“

“A hidden gem of a little café that feels like home the moment you walk in. Everything is made from scratch using fresh, organic ingredients, and you can truly taste the care in every bite. The lovely owner who runs the place pours so much love into her cooking, it’s food that comforts your soul as much as it feeds you. A simple, beautiful spot that reminds you how special homemade food can b. Highly recommended!“

“Great coffee and food, but a weird place to spend any amount of time to do work or meet a friend - I was there on a Monday afternoon and maybe that's not the best time, as there was literal construction going on, and they left a door open for like 25 minutes while deliveries were coming in, so it got very cold.“

“Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“A cozy cafe, with stool chairs by the window, and an outside seating area is available. Menu selections pastries, wraps, salads and of course coffee, plus much more. Friendly and quick service. The entrance to the cafe has a small ramp to enter, making it accessible for the handicap. Roomy enough to pull up to the table, with a wheelchair.“
“What an incredible place! I was in a pinch as I was planning on visiting my family for a few weeks in New York. My dates kept changing and the team went above and beyond to accommodate me and my evolving schedule. My daughter LOVED going to the camp. She came home with so many stories, they made food, craft and had fun! What a gem. We will be coming back when travel again to garden city“

“Really comfy atmosphere. Brought my baby brother there for an ice cream, and asked the employees if its fine for the baby to have one, and they actually told me that ingredients that I may not want my brother to consume. “Great atmosphere. Pretty good 🌭 and the ☕️ was great. 🚻 was clean as a whistle.
The park is making you pay for parking now even during winter. I don't know if that's new or not. Further south (Fort Lee/Alpine) it's still free for the winter time.“

“Many people recommended this place to me, and I finally got a chance to come today. The servers were very nice and friendly.
I had a “Taste of Tel Aviv” to start the meal. It was slightly sweet and minty. Very refreshing. It was very good!
I also got a babaganoush with pita and fish and chips. Both items weren’t on the menu, but upon request. They do have it, but just not on their current menu.
The babaganoush was very nice. It had a minor charred flavor, and balanced between sweetness and savoriness. The pita was slightly crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. It was very nice.
The fig and chips were nice, but just average nice. It came with 5 small pieces of cod fillets and French fries. The fish was fresh, and the batter was light and crispy. It came with lime and not lemon, but it was nice.
Overall, it was a nice spot for a quick bite. They serve breakfast all day long!!!“

“I absolutely love Urbano Cafe Bar!!! The aesthetics are so cute and create the perfect atmosphere. The food is amazing—especially the chicken wings, which are a must-try no matter what sauce you pick. My personal favorites are the buffalo and sweet chili. The Urbano burger and fries are freshly made and delicious, and the tacos are packed with fresh ingredients. They also offer a great happy hour with the option to get a cubetazo of 5 beers!
The music selection is on point and perfectly complements the vibe, with tunes ranging from Earth, Wind & Fire to Ashanti. It really enhances the whole experience.
But honestly, the best thing about this place is the customer service. Ricky is incredibly attentive, sweet, kind, and super talented. He made our experience so much better. I will definitely be coming back again and again for the food, drinks, and especially Ricky's exceptional service!“

“Very, very cute coffee shop and the cute bear latte art made my day. As a writer who gets so much inspiration writing from coffee shops, I must say, I was disappointed about the no-laptop policy over the weekend. Also, because I found out just after having ordered my latte. So, no place for those who carry their laptops with them, but definitely for everyone who seeks delicious coffee in a pretty place. 🤍“

“This place is different. It’s not just about grabbing a snack — it’s about fueling yourself the way YOU want.
I plan on pulling up here every day this week, and what makes it crazy is the options. You walk in, look behind the counter, and it’s stacked with everything: fruit, nuts, greens, protein, herbs — whatever nutrients you need, they got it.
For me, it’s bigger than a smoothie. I literally told my AI, “Yo, this is how I want to feel today, what should I eat?” It gave me a list, and guess what — this spot had every single thing on it. I’ve never had that before. It feels like they built the menu for how I’m trying to live.
And don’t sleep on the empanadas — the crab one with peppers and that house sauce? 🔥 That’s a first in New York for me, and it hit.
If you’re serious about your health, your grind, or just want food that matches your vibe for the day, this is where you come.“

“The Best Culinary Thing to Happen to Pelham—Ever.
I am not exaggerating when I say The Pelican Room is the most exciting culinary addition Pelham has ever seen. Full stop.
My family moved to Pelham from Williamsburg, Brooklyn fifteen years ago—back when every corner had a hidden gem, every block had a vibe, and great food was just expected. We’ve always loved Pelham, but we definitely missed that city energy, that edge, that level of craft. For years, Bistro Rollin filled that void with its warm bistro soul—a place that actually reminded us of Pastis and Balthazar.
But The Pelican Room?
It’s on a whole other level.
From the moment you walk in, the décor is absolutely stunning—resplendent, intentional, elegant without being stuffy, and effortlessly cool. You instantly feel transported. It’s the first place in Pelham that genuinely gives off that “you are somewhere special” vibe.
And the food… my God. Every plate is perfection. Not just good—top-notch, dialed-in, chef-driven, thoughtful in every detail. The flavors have depth. The presentations are gorgeous. You can taste the confidence and creativity in every bite.
This is the first time in 15 years that I’ve said, with total sincerity:
We finally have a restaurant that rivals (and in many ways surpasses) the best of NYC.
Pelham needed this.
Pelham deserves this.
And The Pelican Room delivers beyond all expectations.
If you haven’t been yet, go—immediately.
If you have, you already know: this is not just a restaurant.
It is a gift to our town.
Welcome to Pelham, Pelican Room. We’re obsessed already.“
